MICHAEL FERNANDES REMANDED TO NINE DAYS POLICE CUSTODY

PANJIM: Notorious gangster Michael Fernandes on Tuesday was produced before the Judicial Magistrate First Class, Panjim and remanded to nine days police custody.  Michael, 23, is presently undergoing interrogation for a spate of offences including robbery, threatening, assault, dacoits and other cases.
He along with his partner-in-crime Deepak Kerkar was nabbed in the thick forest area of Khola in Canacona on Monday, two months after he escaped at Chicalim junction while being transported from Vasco sub jail to Goa Medical College at Bambolim for regular medical check-up, on February 22.
Michael had confessed of accepting ‘supari’ to kill Home Minister Ravi Naik’s son Roy, has nearly 30 cases booked against him in Goa, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Gujarat and other parts of the country, which also includes three cases after his recent escape.

    Find the right judge and he will be free again due to technicality.
