GOA'S MOST CORRUPT AND WEAKEST GOVERNMENT by Adv. Aires Rodrigues, Ribandar

Goa’s top most priority should be the setting up of a Lokayukta. Rampant corruption is Goa’s biggest obstacle to its overall development and prosperity. Even the high constitutional post of Advocate General in Goa has been surrounded by a mountain of serious financial and other irregularities.
As to who has been Goa’s best Chief Minister may be debatable but as we complete 50 years of Liberation every Goan will agree that Mr. Digambar Kamat has been
Goa’s worst Chief Minister. His has been the most corrupt and weakest government. There has been a total collapse in the administration. We cannot expect the bureaucracy to be honest if the political leadership which controls the levers of power stinks of corruption. A powerful Lokayukta may be the only way forward.

  2. Adv. Aires- It is a know fact and no one can deny about the Goa Government ability on honesty and failure. What you have hidden is the truths of the dragons holed up in Altinho Hill. Lokayukta or Lokpal will be passed and the politicians will be given the parole but who will bring the Dragon and his kingpins to the road? From 1961 these guys under different patriarchs of Indies has sold lakhs of acres of lands to the Madkaikars and others without any smoke.Just imagine, quarter of Old Goa, parts of Ribandar, Divar, Vanxim, and other cumbatjua is accquired by Madkaikar. How did he accumulated wealth to buy these communiade lands at a fraud price of paisas? Why were these lands not publicly auctioned or tendered or given to the highest bidders? Was there any bidders? none. So lets not only conclude the governments as even the religious bigots are involved in hands and gloves. Lokpal or the people power on the streets will soon bring these monsters on the streets.

Adv. Aires Rodrigues you are right this is the "worst of the worst" governments we have had in Goa, mainly because the CM has protected his criminal ministers.

Corruption is Knitted in Indian's blood, with the Invasion of Goa the same corruption was introduced to Goa, grabbed by politicians to become rich overnight. It has not stopped since making Goa as one of the most corrupt states.

  9. Why blame Pakistan when we have terrorists in politicians clothing in our country. But Kamat is a Baizuan and the whole of Goa knows that. I pray that you and all your accomplices suffer the fires of hell for selling Goa to Maharashtra.
