GOAS BOGUS FREEDOM FIGHTERS DEMAND CLOSING OF PORTUGUESE INSTITUTIONS

PANJIM:  Bogus freedom fighters in Goa have given a verbal notice to the Government of India demanding to close down two major Portuguese institutions in Goa.  Goa Freedom Fighters Association (GFFA) has warned the government of a massive agitation across the State and disallow functioning of the Consulate General of Portugal in Goa, if their demands are not met.
The agitated GFFA members aired their grievances at a press briefing in the capital on Tuesday. The members have resolved to approach the Indian Council for Cultural Association in New Delhi demanding to close down Fundacao Oriente and Institute Camoes, both of which are Portuguese frontline organizations.
GFFA President Naguesh Karmali said that the Portuguese, who ruled Goa for over four and half centuries, have to be shown the doors.  “The very existence of the Portuguese institutions in Goa is suspicious. These institutions should come under the scanner of the Union Government,” Karmali said.  The members are objecting to a recent comment by the newly appointed Ambassador of Portugal to India Jorge Roza de Oliveira that ‘Goans have forgiven Portugal’.
Leading freedom fighter during Goa’s liberation and former IPS officer Prabhakar Sinhari stated that Goa never forgave Portugal for their brutalities towards Goans.  “They have tortured our people during their rule in Goa. We still demand unconditional apology from them. The British rule (in India) was comparatively bearable than the Portuguese rule (in Goa),” he rued.
The GFFA, which comprises of nearly 1,500 freedom fighters, who fought the Portuguese colonial regime have condemned any Portuguese representatives’ visit to Goa.

All bullshit!! These people have absolutely no knowledge of History and no knowledge Civics & Administration either.
I openly challenge them to shut down any of the Portuguese institutions if they have any BALLS.
These castrated dogs do not understand that Government of India has an accord with the Portuguese government.
All they know is to bark, and get other street dogs to keep them company in their barking.

  2. Is it true that the GFFA comprises of nearly 1,500 freedom fighters who fought the Portuguese colonial regime? There was an article in the local press, sometime in March this year, that Karmali was jailed by the Portuguese just because he was an "innocent bystander" at an inconvenient political rally. This is how he became a freedom fighter - HE FOUGHT FOR HIS OWN FREEDOM from the Portuguese jail.

Among those 1,500 there are many who fought for their own freedom and not for the freedom of Goa from a colonial regime. The saddest part is that the association of people who are supposed to have used their energy to free Goa from a repressive regime has as its President one who used his energy to fight for his own freedom. I dont understand how they can bear such shame.

Many of them are said to have aquired Portuguese citizenship so that their children could live in comfort in Portugal, the same country that they claim to have fought against. Are we to believe that they fought against the colonial regime? How can these same people demand the closing of Portuguese institutions in Goa on the grounds that they create a "pro-Portuguese lobby" when their children and grand children have created their own "pro-Portuguese lobby" in Portugal itself?

The so called freedom fighters claim that "memories of their barbaric rule has still not faded away". How can memories of any barbaric rule fade away when we have Goa police perpetuating the barbarism by unleashing their own brutality on the people of Goa?

  3. What these 1500 crumb eaters think that the two Portueses Institutes are cafeterias to be closed down. If these 1500 thieves , criminals ,rappists have any guts than close the Institute and show. These 1500 useless people who is a burden to the state should be kept on pyre and set on fire. With the Portuguese Citizenship our Thousands of Goans working abroad for better life. The so called freedom farters are blind to see that most of our government jobs are sold to the GHANTTIS and our educated Goans are on the streets at the mercy of our uneducated and illeterate politicians. These are the people who were eating the sh*t of portuguese and now drinking the blood of the taxpayers. Shame on you bogus freedom fighters.

  5. With every passing year the motley crew of so called 'freedom fighters' is growing in leaps & bounds...Today they claim to be around 1500 or so. It's been 50 years since the 'Liberation' and I wonder how long these so called 'freedom fighters' are going to live, for sure they are a drain on the tax payer and considering that their contribution to our motherland GOA was next to nothing, we should demand that the GOA govt. should immediately withdraw all facilities, reservations and grants (BACHSISH) to these scum of the earth. VIVA GOA and let us instead honour one of the greatest son of the soil Mr. Jack Sequira.
