Again this year “Goan Welfare Association” Qatar, are going to organize their annual May Queen Ball and the list of invited Guest includes biggest looter of Goa Mr. Luizinho Faleiro, infested with controversies Mr. Dayanad Narvekar and marketing and seller of whole of Calangute belt to rich and famous of Delhite’s Mr. Agnelo Fernandes.
GRE with combine support of various NGO’s in Goa are struggling to gather on single platform to educate people and bring them together to fight and get rid of all 40 daylight looter’s who are responsible and have contributed in a big way to the current state of Goa’s affair which is in mess and yet these Goan people who are based in Qatar and proclaim themselves true lovers of Goa are out to share dais with such most corrupt people in Goan history who have not only sold out Goa to non-Goans but made condition of Goans a living hell and these very same people will get rousing reception. BRAVO Qatar Goans!!!.
By inviting these evil doers what organizers of this dance are trying to proclaim? To give flavor to their annual dine and dance? Or maybe they received little sponsorship to organize the dance or even may be some of the organizers personally benefit through favors back home from these corrupt scoundrels?. It is so sickening to know people backstabbing their own fellow Goans.
When I read the flyer that I have received through my email I couldn’t digest myself and was astonished what is wrong with these people. One side they want people to fight and protect our beloved Goa and on the other hand very same fanatics glorifying these corrupt mongers. We as NRG though personally cannot present ourselves during meetings in Goa but at least able to render our moral support to those who are ready to fight such as GRE and NGO’s for the cause of Goa and to protect it from further destruction by staying away from these evil masters, looters and destructors of Goa. However, I cannot understand when will our people wake up from their sleep and apprehend the ground reality. Lastly, I urge my fellow Goans specially those who are settled abroad not to enslave yourself to these villains instead renounce them to lead a constructive role in re-building our fallen Goa, may be in future we should be able to call ourselves proud Goan rather then slave of IOG (Indian occupied Goan).

They many times ,do things in the name of the Church.They also state it is a Goan Organisation & affilated to the Church.
They claim to sponsor and Fund Chariities back in Goa.I appreciate & applaud this .
However to invite a Guest from Goa to be Chief Guest involves costs.I am also sure to invite Bollywood Actors / actresses involve huge sums of money.I doubt they appear at these functions for free.
Surely these costs involved in bringing Guests from Goa could be utilised for their Charitable work.
Guys like Churchill or Faleiro or Kamat are not star attractions for many Goans.I can understand the Bollywood stars.
Many of these Gulf Organisations uses Sponsors to Finance their Functions.The rest comes from sales of Tickets or possibly Donations from Goan MLA`s.
The Goan MLA`s, have no gripe to give donations , as they are fully aware it is a meal ticket to loot Goa Goans,while they are in these positions of power and the can re-coup their expenses within a minute...not hours,days or years.
It baffles me that these very Goan Organisers have left Goa, as their Corrupt Government could not provide decent Jobs for them& their families in Goa, and If a decent Job was available it would have to be purchased for huge sums of money.It is a well known fact that many Good Jobs in Goa are given to Non Goans (outsiders).
Many Goans have to approach these Corrupt MLA`s like Churchill,Monseratte,Mickky,Faleiro to get jobs.
It is also a known fact that these MLA`s do not do their work for free.They all charge huge sums of money for their services. Mickky & Churchill have charged local boys to get visas and jobs on ships.As MLA`s it is their duty to find decent jobs for Goans in Goa.But, Do the care ...or give a damn?
I have no doubt that the Organisations in the Gulf Countries are all in this game, to make money through the "PETTY CASH" & "Sundries" route.

ReplyDeleteIf Goans were in right frame of mind we would be all swinging and dancing in Goa. Tell me what God has not endowed with. Show a country that is so rich in culture and resources(1/3 of iron ore on sub-continent). Historically, the biggest empire in the world (Portuguese) was literally ruled from Goa and not from Lisbon! We have been our own spoilers – self destructive-not creative.

It is not OK to issue a cheque in the name of an Individual, who ever it may be if it is meant for an Association. To be on safer side, it is better issue the cheque in the name of Association. As a matter of fact such type of things happened in Kuwait also but in different style. The signatories are of the same Village Curtorim, one is President and other is Gen-Secretary, their titles changes sometimes but the authority remain on same two individuals. As such when the next committee get elected these two culprits never let the funds be used for any needs even of association. The funds get accumulated every year but not being disbursed for any cause. The Association is rewarding the SSCE and HSSC Students but these rewards are gifted by one Sam Alphonso. This Goan Welfare Association of Kuwait is tainted in many ways therefore honest committee members never survived there, they left one by one mostly those who were as treasurers as there is dictatorial authority there and he never let off his hands from the treasure box for any needs. News over this had come many times. This authority has migrated to Canada but still working in Kuwait as one could read in the news about him but he still act as a Goan and an authority over the Funds. People did caste doubt on him that one fine morning he might disappear from Kuwait with that amount just like another Cansaulikar did to Goans in Kuwait with their Association Funds, as the amount was with single signatory, he even cheated the Cansaulimkars who trusted him and formed a Fund to open some kind of Business llater in Goa, one of the member told me he withdrew major portion of their money without informing them and never returned to Kuwait after the Liberation of Kuwait. The temptation to these individuals are very high when the funds are kept in their names instead of an Association where in signatories should also be not less then 3 and two of them with authority to sign together on any bank transaction in respect of that account .
ReplyDeleteAnother news i read, when Kuwait was invaded by Iraq and Goans were evacuated, there was an Executive Committee formed under Goan Evacuees Society in Goa overlooking needs of Goans who want to get their belongings back in Goa, and funds were collected from all Goans under membership of this Society to support various expenses and the leader was same who has an authority over Goan Welfare Association-Kuwait. The news further said, after the liberation of Kuwait, although many Goans returned Kuwait on their own the Evacuee Society was not able to solve any problem even of those Goans who were not recalled by their Kuwaiti Sponsors. And what happened to funds was that the Curtorkar leader of the Society have supported Eduardo Faleiro with that funds for his MP election campaign. There was no further news of any left over funds if any, perhaps it disappeared after the natural death of Goan Evacuee Society.

It will not surprise me if people like Churchill asks some of these Individual Organisers to deposit their money in Dhirams in Dubai Kuwait , Qatar etc into his account there,and he in turn, deposits money for the individuals of these organisations, in Goa.It is a sort of trade off or hawala exchange.The Individual gets a high Rupee rate from Churchill in Goa, & Churchill gets a higher Interest rate on his Dubai / Gulf accounts.
In Banking , the higher savings you have the higher the interest rate.Fixed Bonds pay very high rates.
It was revealed last year, when Mickky Pacheco was accused of money laundering, that he funded sending boys to the USA using Rupees in Goa, and asked them to pay him back in US dollars into his Bank Account in the USA.
while on this subject:Churchill is also known to invest in Gold Bullion in the Gulf.
The next time you view a videoclip of Churchill, count the No.of Gold rings he wears on his hands.

Debate here goes in full swing mostly on Goan Corrupt Politicians being invited in Gulf Countries by their Chamchas in Gulf, and I ashamed to say as my very own village people in Kuwait under Navelim Youth Center too have taken part in such spoils. The writeup on this issue had come often that NYC is organizing a Yearly Tournament in the memory of Alvernaz Alemao the dead brother of Churchill. Every one knows at least through the News papers that Alvernaz had been dead/killed while smuggling gold with an encounter with Customs Officer, and to organize the Football Tournament in this anti-national criminal's name is in very bad taste. I am wondering whether NYC was helpless to organize such good event in the name of this smuggler just because Churchill is present MLA of Navelim! or is it under pressure from Churchill himself? and then to grace this occasion there comes the daughter of the MLA and another member of Alemao Clan aspiring to become an MLA of Benaulim. Churchill too is the visitor some time or other for this occasion. Every one knows that these and other Politicians are corrupt and their names have been soiled, despite this NYC and other Associations are not feeling any less shame to get them to Gulf to grace the very devoted and loved occasions. What these Associations and their Presidents think to get back what kind of favours from these down cast corrupt Goan Politicians? These shameless Gulf Goans Leaders of the Associations putting every other decent Gulf Goans to shame by coming down so much to entertain and glorify these rascals who have completely spoilt Goa and lost their honour. They should stop glorifying these Chors instead bring in some other dignitaries with respect and/or some sport related Celebrities. But remember Churchill and his family do not do anything for goodwill.
These Tournaments have 2 main functions and attributes.Most commonsense Goans are fully aware of these.
The attributes are,These Tournaments are used to promote the Churchill family so that they can undertake crimnial activities under the pretence of doing Social work and the other attribute is to use these Goan Organisations to Launder money.
These Criminals that run these Goan Organisations , do so to exploit other Goans.
In the UK , we have a saying "in for a penny and out with a Pound(£)."
Lets us hope in due course ,Goans in these Guf Countries will be sufficiently equipped and empowered to detest such Organisations.
Many Goans in the Gulf come from poor or struggling backgrounds.All these Organisations do ,is exploit them, as soon as they arrive in the Gulf. They take brutal advantage of Goans suffering from "Home sickness".
I think it is time to start demanding the resignation of the entire Goa Government. We can start by demanding the resignation of the Chief Minister Digamber Kamat who as also Minister for Mines for past 13 years has presided over the total obliteration of Goa by the mining industry.

We need to educate our brothers and sisters in Goa about the concept of democracy and human rights . The tendency has been to sell the votes to most corrupt politicians and true democracy is not about buying and selling votes.
Goa is in grave danger of being totally destroyed especially by the mining industry . Irreversible damage is being caused to water resources, agricultural lands, people's health forest land biodiversity and quality of life. I have started a Save Goa Campaign in London to create awareness about what is really going on in Goa. Let's join forces and fight to save Goa.
