POLITICIANS’ INVOLVEMENT IN CANSAULIM By Nisha Pereira

The political pressure as well as direct intervention from MLA Mauvin Godinho in the Gonsalves-Dias Gates Project at Cansaulim is shocking and is a direct misuse of Government Machinery. The Minister's PA Ligorio Monteiro is directly involved in contacting Cansaulim villagers who are opposing the Project with all sorts of give-aways to quieten the opposition to the Project.

Aboobakr Shaikh and cousin Aggie Alcacoas of Queeny Realty Estate can have their way with Cansaulim village and make it a concrete jungle. if you look at the Queeny Nagar area developed by the Minister's cousin Aggie Alcacoas at the Birla stretch you'll know hat I'm talking about - it doesn't matter if Cansaulim's name is changed to Aboobakr Nagar to honour the new Shah-en-shah of Cansaulim village like the Mughal Emperors of yore or is Aggie-Queeny Ganv? After all if a Rathod is Sarpanch of Sancoale, can Cansaulim be left far behind – so much for vote banks, scam bags and slum dens they make a nice cocktail when you have this all thrown together to create your vote-banks.
After all the Minister has already asked for 100 lakhs square metres of precious Goan land to clean up the garbage from 6 villages in his Constituency! Once the land is acquired and sanctioned you can always give that to cousin Aggie and Aboobakr for development and beautifying purposes. The High Court has said that the Panchayats should not be granting licences for construction of mega-projects without providing infrastructure for garbage facilities - so with one blow the clever Minister has taken care of that issue too!
Incidentally the Minister is now in the process of constructing a Hotel near Queeny Nagar as you drive down the raod to Velcao built on the hill slope that is spilling onto the road!
Overnight a spanking new bridge was built next to the old culvert very close to Mauvin Godinho's maternal grand-father's house in Cansaulim i.e. next to “Bar Leangracia” that his grand-father had built. Of course that new bridge would be a nice safety net to have all the bebdes not to fall in the pond and specially when you have quenched the thirst of all the goons after sending them to hammer, heckle and harass the villagers even if it has to be done in the broad daylight at the Gram Sabha or under the cover of darkness. So what if the Minister can sanction a free road for his staunch female supporter in the village overnight in the village through somebody else's property and even have it tarred and all done in record breaking time on a public Holiday literally from Maundy Thursday to Good Friday earlier this year? No marks for guessing her name!
As mentioned, litigation has been filed by the siblings duped by Stuart Gonsalves-Dias and Fr. Valmiki Gonsalves-Dias to stop the sale or development of their ancestral properties. This litigation has been filed against Aboobakr Shaikh, Aggie Alcacoas and Stuart Gonsalves-Dias & his wife Lorna and Fr Valmiki Gonsalves-Dias. Along with these crooks, they should also have named Mauvin Godinho, Sarpanch Members Martha Saldanha, Ferwin Saldanha and that chicken-hearted Sarpanch Jose Manuel Fernandes for directly abetting in this crime. Mauvin Godinho fully knowing what his cousin Aggie Alocacoas and Aboobakr Shaikh were up to chose to support them in their nefarious schemes and literally gave the villagers an ultimatum not to interfere in Aboobakr's development of Cansaulim village!
Power corrupts absolutely whether it is a corrupt Minister Mauvin Godinho or a Sarpanch like Jose Manuel Fernandes or the likes of devious hags like Martha Saldanha or bonkan botts like Ferwin Saldanha in the Panchayat. So what if we destroy a village like Cansaulim – who cares? We have to back our cousins Aggie Alcacoas and Aboobake Shaikh and their chamchas, goons, and supporters!
Time to get ready for the next elections, no? Who will otherwise foot the bills for the biryani, daru and other gifts that we have to give so that we get those votes?
NIZ GOENKAR ADDS: My beloved Goans, it is high time that we unite before the forces of Dark and fight them.  Goa Belongs to us the True Goans or the NIZ GOENKAR'S.  Let us not part an inch of it to anybody and let us not add an inch of anybody to it.  Cansaulim, Carmona people need our support and it is time we lend it.  Wake up Goan Youth. If you have no job here is the opportunity to have a volunteering job.  GET RID OF THE EVIL MENACE AND OUTSIDE WORK FORCE. Justice has to be done to the Goans.

  1. The condition of Goa has reached too far as far as its destruction is concerned. We the Goans have been always sleeping. Let us put a full stop to the migrant ghanti contractors and masons and let us do away with the politicians. Good Work Nisha.

Someone should just get these guys killed and specially the Goan traitors.

  3. All the politicians in Goa are nothing but crooks and one worse than the other. Mauvin Godinho deserves to be exposed. The Panchayats have mastered their chicanery and are hand in glove with the MLAs and the TCP, Directorate of Panchayats. These people are a disgrace to Goans and will destroy Goa by working with these builders and landlords.

  4. I wish the developers and the traitor politicians would die some way. The people of this beautiful Cansaulim village should get all together, also approach the residents of other neighbouring villages and put a stop to such projects. What is our GHANTA BULLS Corrupt Goan Politicians doing to our Goa? There are too many Ghanti Nagars in Goa. Unity is a must among Goans. Elect some young honest Goans in Power.

It is high time Goans living in Goa realise that they are Prisoners Of War. It was in the news recently that one of the Goan Ministers who gets ‘chills’ being behind the ‘Church’ for being a Catholic, that Goa was “Conquered” by India; quoting the Supreme Court. So where are our “Freedom fighters” who take pride in boasting that they have “liberated” Goa hiding? Where is the freedom they harp on that they have given Goa and Goans? Why is the term “Liberation of Goa” being used?

I tend to believe this Minister; as in every war, the conquerors always plundered the wealth of the conquered land, they raped their women, took with them some slaves, etc. The intelligentsia always fled and lived in exile. What is happening now in Goa is the same. The intelligentsia have left Goa; Goa is plundered left and right by the Indians, our conquerors. They have taken slaves who are ruling Goa and are forbidden to take any decision without running to the capital of India for receiving Orders from their Masters. Our agricultural land, forests, houses and women too are raped almost daily. A few of the Goans still in Goa who have not fled, are forming a “Resistance Group”; but with no arms and ammunition. Will they succeed?

  6. I remember this same Mauvin Good-in-nothing was involved in power theft racket worth millions of crores of rupees. After that he lost election to Mathany Saldanha. He used the looted money and reached back to power. Who elected him? The majority of Ghantis. Dear Cansaulim-cars, were some of you not involved to bring this chap back to power? Have you guessed how much publicity he got in the last feast of 3 Kings by making his son as one of the King? The Konkani and Goan TV Channels were broadcasting him after every hour as if Mauvin is the New King. There was nothing on Prudent Media worth broadcasting? That is money...Mauvin know how to play with the sentiments of the people. Therefore, he has set the Queen of Migrants, Sharda Rathod in the chair of the Sarpanch so he can win the votes of all ghantis and give them the chunk of Goa. What will he loose? People of Cansaulim should be wise and kick these elements out og your village. Where is Mathany Saldanha? Can't he lend his hand in distress for the villagers or just Meta Strips is his pet project?

  7. To save Goa, you need a propaganda machine like, a 24 hour Konkani TV station and a Konkani FM radio station with the financial contribution from overseas Goans residing all over the world. This propaganda machine should lead as a foundation in forming a new strategy. Using this channel, you can help elect honest and sincere men. Through this network you can expose all the corruption occuring in every corner of Goa. TV stations today are a powerful source of media which can topple any goverment. It gives strength to peoples power. I think this is the only way to get rid of the present rogues.

For all those who have invested in the illegal Gonsalves-Dias Project at Cottar Cansaulim Survey 17/3 as well as the other Queeny Meadows project in Arossim bearing Survey 4/23 be warned. You'll stand to loose your money soon. Please share this with all!

A court case has been filed against Aboobakr Shaikh (Babloo), Aggie Alcacoas (owner of Queeny Realty Estate and cousin of Mauvin Godinho) and Stuart Gonsalves-Dias and his wife Lorna, and Fr. Valmiki Dias-Gonsalves. Ownership of this property vests with not just the two brothers but also their 4 sisters and their family members. The two brothers have illegally sought to dispose and develop these properties. That is why they have used goons and crooks like Aboobakr Shaikh and Aggie Alcacoas who have got Panch members like the hag shrew Martha Saldanha, Ferwin Saldanha (bonkam bott who now has graduated in putting it in Aboobakr's you know where - anything for more money) and others in their pay roll.

That is why Aggie's cousin Mauvin Godinho of the Rs 110 million power scam fame has been backing these thugs and their "development" for Goa.

Notices have been served on Aboobakr Shaikh (Babloo), Aggie Alcacoas (Queeny Realty Estates) , Fr. Valmiki Gonsalves-Dias, Stuart Gonsalves-Dias and his wife Lorna to cease and desist.

Please forward this message along with the article to all Goans inclduing those on baord the ship and in the Gulf - some of your own friends and family members may have been conned by Aboobakr Shaikh, Guilford the matka bookie and Aggie Alcacoas!

    ReplyDelete
  9. Martha Saldanha, Ferwin Saldanha and the other Panch members shame on you for joining hand with Aboobakr Shaikh, Aggie Alcacoas and Mauvin Godinho to destroy democratic traditions at the Cansaulim Gram Sabha!

If you'll dare to attack anyone of the villagers of Cansaulim you along with Aboobakr Shaikh, goondas like Adrian Almeida will be answerable not only to all Goans but to God!

To feather your nests and get kickbacks you'll sell yourselves like whores and pimps to destroy your own Cansaulim village and Goa!

Martha Saldanha and the other Panch Members you'll need to be banished along with the likes of the Aboobakr Shaikhs, Aggie Alcacoas and Mauin Godinhos away from Goa! Attacking your own villagers including a priest son of Cansaulim village Fr. Randall Barretto, Dr Marconi Correia, the old men like InacXavier Fernandes and the widows in the village. Trying to hit the villagers and their children who have stood up and opposed your evil and devious schemes project using vehicles. How can you'll even sleep at night after the crimes that you'll commit?

Now Aboobakr Shaikh is trying to issue a fatwah to goons to attack the Cansaulim villagers? Is this Taliban regime in Cansaulim? This with the backing of politician Mauvin Godinho and the Panchayat traitors? This Kannadiga muslim beggar and his family has benefitted from the
generosity of the Cansaulim villagers! Abbobakr's father took a loan from a Kunbi villager of Cansaulim in order to go the Gulf which he never repaid! Living among decent, educated people Aboobakr Shaikh received a proper education and now his sister is employed as a lecturer with the Carmel college nuns at Nuvem. So much for gratitude to the village of Cansaulim.

    - Who do you'll think you'll are fooling Aboobakr? You may rub shoulders with Mauvin Godinho and Babu Azgaonkar Minister for Panchayats but like them you are nothing but a goonda, rogue and crook!

  10. MLA Mauvin Godinho shame on you for openly working against the villagers of Cansaulim. Your eagerness to back Aboobakr Shaikh and your cousin Aggie Alcacoas of Quneey Realty Estate is known to all.

Your talk of development is nothing but a con-scheme for your own self development and all the dogs who sit to benefit from the goods that you give them like Aboobakr Shaikh and Adrian Almeida.

Be warned if these goons touch anyone in Cansaulim then the whole of Goa will be at your doors!

All you politicians need to be banished from Goa!

Three Cheers for Dr Marconi, Correia, Fr. Randall Barretto, InacXavier and all the others who have shown these builders - Aboobakr and Aggie Alcacoas, Panchayat Members, Mauvin "chor" Godinho that they will not take this anymore!

TO ALL READERS/COMMENTATORS OF HERALD: I have some of my good strong friends working for Herald. I just enquired today what had happened. They told me that the Politicians and the Goa Police forced them to shut down the comments section. Anyway we have Niz Goenkar whom they cannot shut. Only thing is that on this forum we must not use badwords and vulgar language.

    ReplyDelete
  13. Many anti Niz- Goans called the Portuguese dictators, But today Goa is run by worse dictators , who have cut the freedom of speech. Through these corrupt politicians the destruction of Goa is imminent. These outside developers have pressurised our Goan into shutting the Herald Blogg. It just Goes to show there is no greater power, than the "power of unity". God Bless Goa And GOANS.

    ReplyDelete
  14. Shameful and despicable. But nothing new. First and foremost, let the sane goans amongst us stop making unnecessary differences between people. No more "biknekars" and "ghantis" talk. IT IS THE GOAN ROGUE who gets outside elements into the state and that leads to this mess. This is true for almost every place in Goa today.
Next, stop being divided by religion or placing even priests on a pedestal. Use the system instead to educate people on issues that matter rather than telling them to glorify politicians or corrupt elements who twist religion to suit their ends.
All our brothers and sisters (especially those in the Gulf/ship) - please understand that a fool and his money are soon parted. No point in earning petro dollars and spending it on excessive luxuries for self and the kids. Instead please invest wisely planning for the future but more crucially invest in the child's education.
The moment we start thinking of ourselves as humans, Indians and then Goans - perhaps than there can be some hope. The current crop of politicians are but our creation. We invite them for house warming parties, functions, across the board. They are government servants who ought to salute us - but look at what we have transformed them into. And very sadly we are happy and content to let it remain that way. You see - the educated and slightly influential lot will wash their hands off the matter (after all you can't easily take on the might of the goan aristocracy), the illiterate depend on whoever is ready and willing to help. Therefore the LITERATE buffoons occupy positions of power today. Money walks and BS talks. We are content doing menial labour abroad but not in Goa. We are thrilled with the prospect of a foreign degree - but criticize the domestic education (either cause its too poor or its too tough to get into). And then we niz-goenkars say there is lack of opportunity. I have a friend in Goa looking for a person to engage in tele-marketing for a monthly salary of Rs. 10K. No takers though - its not 9-5 you see. Its the Goan who is primarily responsible for this mess. The sooner we realize this and attempt to get all people on the same wavelength the better. Each one of us should be concerned and active. No point in saying that the politician should do this and that. They won't. Lets do something for the country and state - not us what they have done for us.
Like to conclude with these famous lines by the Eagles "We are like sheep without a shepherd We don't know how to be alone So we wander 'round this desert And wind up following the wrong gods home But the flock cries out for another And they keep answering that bell And one more starry-eyed messiah Meets a violent farewell"
Apologies for the long outburst. But lets keep the flame burning - there may just be another Messiah on the way.
    Cheers

An inquiry into these attacks on the Gram Sabha by vested interests needs to be investigated. This is being done with the direct backing of the Politicians and the Panchayat members. Corruption due to bribery and payments being made by these builders is why they are trying to silence the voice of the villagers by attacking them!

    ReplyDelete
  16. The continued attacks and aggression with Mauvin Godinho's PA Ligorio Monteiro making threatening calls to Cansaulim villagers has escalated using the Minister's power. He is now pressurising even old widows to hand over their property adjoining the access road that will lead to the Gonsalves-Dias Gates project.

Mauvin Godinho is doing this through his PA Ligorio Monteiro as they are now trying to widen the approach road leading to the Gonsalves-Dias Gates Project which is barely three metres wide. Poor villagers are receiving threatening calls to part with portions of their property adjoining this road so that he can widen it for the Minister's cousin Aggie Alcacoas and best buddy Aboobakr Shaikh to get the Gonsalves-Dias Gates project approved. The Cansaulim Panchayat including Martha Saldanha and bonkan bott Ferwin Saldanha are already scheming to widen the road to 10 metres so that they can quell any opposition based on the width of the road working in tandem with Mauvin Godinho and his PA.

How can the Minister and his PA do this? Obviously there is a reason why they are doing it to protect Aboo Bakr who is an agent of Aggie Alcacoas.

I have been attending the Novena Masses in Cansaulim Church in honour of the Feast of Mother Mary and I was very happy to hear the priests in their sermons reminding the people that they have to preserve and protect God's Creation and our Environment and not destroy it in their greed. Let us storm Heaven with our prayers that our own politicians and Panchayat Members open their ears to God's command and realise the wrongs that they are doing against their own brothers and sisters in destroying our village!

Hopefully our politicians will realise the grave damage they are doing.

Cansaulim is become a land of thieves due to Mauvin,Martha(The Bombay witch)Ferwin(Bonkabot and Bailott)who is a tamed dog of Martha and that Goonda Shaik Abubakar who started real estate with the funds of CAC dance which he was a president for 10 yrs.Martha has been swindlling the villagers since she became a sarpanch. She only used to like only bachelors so that she could spend her time with them.Ferwin has always been a bonkabot as he was using her funds for his personal use.u will always find him chained outside Marthas house.Abubaker shaik was a goonda from before.he was known for his dadagiri with the support of Mauvin Godhiho(MLA of Ghantis).he robbed CAC and started this project.he should name the project.CAC club foundation and make Mauvin the present.
People of Cansaulim we should now get together to kick this babloo and start to stone the houses of the rougue MLA,Martha,Ferwin and Babloo and drive them out of our village and keep our village as it was before.my full support to u and i will still come out with more personal facts of these mad dogs of Cansaulim

  20. Joseph de Melo ---- Sorry to say but I could not make either head or tail of your ramblings. It was like a wordy diahhraea. Don't feel bad, either you are confused or pretending to be a Goan. Just remember all Goans are humans, but not all Goans are Indians. This is a forum where we were propogating the great culture and traditions of Goans. So please refrain from saying --- "The moment we start thinking of ourselves as humans, Indians and then Goans". We are Goans first and Goans last. And we will always despise the ghanttis and the bhiknakars. From your writing I am pretty sure, you are one of the mallus who probably must have married a Goan girl and is trying to pass off as a Goan. You don't have Goanness in you or the Goan pride.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Bebdo, a bottoh like you should know that it is not wordy diahhraea, but verbal diarrhoea or diarrhea. Secondly, this 'aami' or 'we' that cowards like you attach to every sentence is exactly what ghantis exploit. Say 'I' if you have the guts. What have 'you' done or what can 'you' do? The issue is Cansaulim, not mallus marrying Goan girls. Incidentally, some girls say they marry mallus or Tams or Bongs or Bhaiyas because the smart Goans are abroad leaving buffoons such as yourself to rule the roost. Ghantis cannot compete with true Goans like me. I do not sell my land to them. I do not work in their hotels. But I am worried about my gav bhavs who lick ghanti arses, but make lofty statements prefixed with 'aami'. This is exactly what is happening in Cansaulim and other places. Goanness or Goan pride is about respecting your family and community. It's about having the unique ability of making intelligent conversation while having a drink. It's not about wearing flashy clothes and accessories and going 'bhovpak' on bikes or in cars. Godinhos or shaikhs have been created by bonka botts among us. That is what Joseph meant by 'Goan rogue'. Bebdo, you need to read, think and only then open your trap. In my years as a journalist in Navhind, I have dealt with so many of you that it makes me sick.

My apologies to the rest of the participants on this forum for deviating from the topic. It was a necessary evil.

After going through all the baseless comments above I feel everyone of you above have personal issues with abubackar. Youll are not bothered about your village or people, Youll are just a bunch of ‘bekar’ people who are out to gain popularity because if Youll had the guts Youll would have given ur original names and commented. Abubackar was the president of the CAC club for a decade he did and organized so many things for the village youth nobody commented on that. Where was everyone then? No one said good job done or well name the club after you. Abubackar has grown up and still living in this village. This village is a part of him and no one can separate him from it.
We are 4 brothers. We live in a small house in cansaulim. I cannot afford to buy land or build a house so I bought a flat in this project. What do Youll expect where should I love what about my children. Everyone expects a good life for himself. Do Youll expect me to live in one of the small rooms in these bhatkar’s house which they give on rent mostly to the non goans or do Youll expect me to leave my village and go somewhere else. Are Youll trying to drive away everyone from here.
Another thing please don’t speak of Yemenis or arabs , when we know majority of our goan friends and may be even some of the people who have commented above live or earn their livelihood on the blessings of these arabs only. By staying abroad no one has the right to comment on this issue because they are not here and therefore do not know the heart of this issue which I don’t mind highlighting “NO ONE CAN COME ON THE TOP ESPECIALLY A MUSLIM”.

  25. I do not think this website is spreading or any hatred or communalism as claimed by this nut anonymouse like ull. The site puts up some news or articles written by different authors and that is not spreading communalism or hatred. The hatred is spread by the people who comment here and create such things. One should have some sense to blame the site for the comments. Almost all the news and the articles are like excerpts from the internet and news is from PTI, UNI or other news lines. This nut does not know the difference between "spreading communalism and hatred" and the news on line. Go to any court you like for your kind information, there is nothing you can do about the site, because the site is a pure and clean news that appears on all the news line. You try to search and get the commentators and take them to the court. There are no adverse articles against Muslims or Hindus or Christians or any other religion. So where is the need to take action through court? Anonymouse like ull can you prove where the site has created communalism or hatred? Don't talk just some rubbish. Youll are all just black minded and black hearted people who cannot digest other person’s success.
Transition has always faced opposition from the wrong. You’re so called the “respected ton” can raise voices, but they are right but if abubackar and his friends raise their voice against what they consider wrong they are called goondas. You “Respected ton” has a dictator like Sheila Gracias who has taken lessons from the great Hitler. And your “Mr Calm” Dr Marconi is a person who used this same youth for his personal gains in the past. He made them the scapegoat during the konkan railway agitation. This same abubackar helped him in his problem and got a case against himself. Your Calm doctor works for the people of the village. NO. his shutter closes at 8:00p.m. after this any patient goes knocking on his doors its of no use he is unavailable. For him you can die or go to hell.
Sheila Gracias is “bekar” these days. May be her premium collecting days are over. So, she has found a new way of becoming popular. May be they have decided to try their hand at politics. These two people are using the innocent villagers for their own personal gains. I just hope the villagers realize this soon before its too late.
There are many other projects coming up in cansaulim but they are not bothered about them because they have personal issues against abubackar. It’s a fact that most of the buyers of abubackar project are all from the village itself, not some foreigners which is the case in most of the projects. What is wrong, if someone is taking the initiative to build houses with a good, beautiful hygienic surrounding? A project which is of no inconvenience to others. As regard to the road or access is, the people concerned can meet up with abubackar and work out an understanding rather than creating all this mess just because of 2-3 people who are out on political vendetta. If we want the see our village progress we have to look at other issues that are plaguing our village which is
    1) many children from our village still travel to margao or vasco in search of better educational facilities. We should try to solve this major problem.
    2) the garbage issue which is a cause of major concern, our village is also plagued by it.
    3) the bhatkar’s and the moankars issue, we have to finish this major difference as all issues arise because of this.
The roads in cansaulim and many other things.
Abubackar feels he is right in his stand, and therefore he is ready to face and answer each and everyone.

  27. The comment of anonymouse like ull has been moderated, it earlier said that this site was spreading communalism and hatred which is negative. I am not a Goan but a North Indian from Kalkaji. I did not find anything inciting in the news on the site. Some are articles taken (exerpts) from Internet, other articles are written by different authors and the news is mostly from PTI, UNI or Other news paper put in their words but not a single word extra added. This site has so far Never written anything against the Hindus, Muslims or Christians. So this nut anonymouse like ull should know that if he goes to any court nothing can be done against the site as the site is not inciting anyone. If at all something is written is by the commentators here and you are calling others without name, are you using your real name? You too are a coward. At least those Goans who write against outsiders here are using their names unlike you. But even the commentators have not used any communalism here on the site. Their remarks are against the politicians and some evil forces of Goa. Though I do not like them saying something against the Indians, after reading about Goa on the internet I have come to a conclusion that they have some genuine reason behind it. So anonymouse like ull do not try to get your frustration out like this. Hey are you a Goa's politician's agent?

  28. @Lone Ranger: ... You have said, and I quote "In my years as a journalist in Navhind, I have dealt with so many of you that it makes me sick." So you are a journalist and you have worked for the Dempos-owned Navhind Times. As a journalist what have you done? Did you ever write about the harmful effects of mining in Goa? Of course not. Have you ever visited a mine in Goa? Have you seen the conditions of the people living in those areas? Have you seen how the paddy fields and coconut plantations in those areas are being destroyed by the mining activities? Or for that matter have you ever raised your voice to end the blatant salary disparity in the Navhind Times? Have you ever written about Dempo Steamship Ltd, which was headed by Surendra Dempo and drowned in a sea of liabilities and debt that Surendra tried to use the influence of Eduardo Falerio when he was the minister of state for finance? I have in my own eyes seen the faxes that were exchanged. I have even seen in my own eyes when Faleiro was staying in the Circuit House in Margao how the Dempos used to come in the middle of the night to meet him. I am sure Valmiki Faleiro too must have seen it, so too Gurunath Pai. If you have worked in Navhind Times, then you are not even fit to call yourself a journalist. What sort of journalism are you talking about in the Navhind? It is PR journalism, cut, copy and paste. The Editor Arun Sinha was a suspect in a child molestation case. Vilas Sardesai and Vijay Kalangutkar were alleged to be womanisers. Did you raise your voice when your editor was accused of molesting his child maid? If you were a man of principle and a true journalist, you would have done so.
Let me tell you, in Goa there are very few journalists and I don't think you are one of them. You probably never got a job anywhere else and joined Navhind on a stipend to do some editing work on the desk. Navhind is known for that. They exploit fresh college graduates and pay them a stipend for a year or two and then kick them out. Moreover, if you have met me and people like me and it had made you sick, then it was probably because of a hangover. A majority of Goan journalists can be bought for a few drinks and gifts. In fact, once at the Majorda Beach Resort a journalist stuffed his pockets with butter sachets and after some time the butter melted in the pockets and started dripping all over his pants! Pathetic is not the word to describe journalists like you.
You tell me what have you done for Goa? I know what I have done and I don't want a certificate from you to prove it. You are probably a spineless invertebrate who used to crawl when the journalists and their front man Milan Burman used to walk into the Navhind Times.
BY THE WAY I CAN ALSO PROVE TO YOU THAT JOSEPH DE MELO IS A GHANTI. CLICK ON HIS ID AND HIS NAME IS ANOOP JOSEPH DEMELO ABRAHAM. Either he is a Keralite or an Andhrite. No Goan will have such a name. There are many Keralites with surnames such as Fernandes, D'souza, Trinidade, etc. and they all pass off as Goans.
Mogal Goenkarano, this Lone Ranger is trying to divide us Goans. We are here for a cause, and that is to liberate Goa from the ghantis and the 40 chors.
Please ignore such people. They are non-Goans masquerading as Goans. And for the information of the forum, Navhind Times is full of non-Goans and even a proof-reader there calls himself a journalist, that is because proof-readers were put in the journalist category by the Bachawat Wage Board.
So Please ignore such maggots who are hell-bent on destroying Goa and dividing Goans.

    .... Replace JOURNALISTS with POLITICIANS.

Milan Burman is also a non-Goan and is a chamcha of Mauvin Godinho. He is famous for his flattery and hogging the limelight during election rallies especially when the Congress leaders from Delhi are around. How can one forget his classic gem of "Rajiv Gandhi, zindadad' when Rajiv visited Goa! Mauvin is surrounded by ghanttis and all Goans should unite and kick him out from Cansaulim. Don't vote for Mauvin in the next election.

Mr Anonymouse, you say: "We are 4 brothers. We live in a small house in cansaulim. I cannot afford to buy land or build a house so I bought a flat in this project." CAN YOU PLEASE TELL US HOW MUCH MONEY YOU PAID FOR THAT FLAT? OR WAS IT GIFTED TO YOU BY AGGIE, MAUVIN AND ABUBAKAR AS A PAYMENT FOR FLEXING YOUR MUSCLES.
I too dare you, if you have sauce in your balls, reveal your name. Gone are the days when Goans used to be afraid of the goondas. How many goondas you have got, bring them on. We will fight you in the streets, in the alleyes and even in your houses. But please don't take Goans for granted. The days of looting and destroying Goa are over. Remember, every dog has his day.
SECONDLY, don't you dare cast any aspersions on the character of Sheila Gracias and Dr. Marconi Correia. I know them well and they come from good family background, who are fair and are fighing for a just cause.

Either you are Aboobackar yourself or one of his goondas that attacks the Gram Sabha members in Cansaulim. You must have had too much of Biryani to eat that you are endorsing Aboobackar's grand schemes for 'development" of Cansaulim and Goa that your master Mauvin "CHOR" Godinho was singing about.

That is why you ar emaking big comments like - heart of this issue which I don’t mind highlighting “NO ONE CAN COME ON THE TOP ESPECIALLY A MUSLIM”.

Aboobackar a Kannadiga Muslim as you well know after stealing as CAC President including organizing the CAC Dance is now ambitious enough to want to become next Sarpanch of Cansaulim with Mauvin's blessing just as Sharda Rathod in Sancoale.

Tell me which Kannadiga Muslim in his own village would have been allowed to organize dances and lived for another day?

The Goans are too generous even to thieves like Aboobackar.

I truly agree with Mahesh Vernekar. Cansaulim and all Goans have been very hospitable and kind to rogues like Aboobakr. No wonder he even has a big shop adjoining his fond admirer Marth Saldanha Panchayat member if you drive down to Cansaulim infront of the road leading to the Cansaulim Station at Walfred Antao Complex.

This Kannadiga Muslim after benefitting from living among decent, respectable folk now sets about destroying their village with his partners in crime matka bookie Guilford, Aggie Alcacoas (Queeny Realty Estate, GFA Scam Fame and Kuwait schemster) and Mauvin Godinho of the Power Scam Fame!

Aboobakr Shaikh is no Sufi Saint - that goonda abused Fr. Randall Barretto, attacks the old and the widows and then has his goondas actually surface at the Cnasaulim Gram Sabha to attack the villagers!

Can he tell us who really owns the property where he is constructing Gonsalves-Dias Gates Projects and share the truth behind this project?

Can he ask why he hasn't shown the traditional path thro' the property that all villagers have been using even before his family arrived as migrant beggars to live and benefit from the kindness of the Cansaulim villagers.

He has the audacity to attack Goan villagers and then defend his actions!

  36. When a crook like Abbobakr goes into such devious con-schemes they stop at nothing. By rubbing shoulders with bigger crooks like Aggie Alcacoas, Martha Saldanha and Ferwin Saldanha or that matter the god-father of all crooks Mauvin Godinho they just get better.

Ask Aboobakr Shaikh why he attacks even priests like Fr. Randall Barretto and old villagers even widows and hold men of the village that have been so generous to him and his family.

  37. Aboobkar will not be able to hide in Aggie Alcacoas and Mauvin Godinho's pants nor Panch Martha Saldanha's burkha for ever.

Goans are tolerant but don't mistake their goodness and kindness for weakness Aboobakr.

I guess after all that fasting you must be thinking it's time for feasting on our Goan villages.

  38. Bebdo, what a good representation for all our voices, bravo dear. I doubt if there are replies for your queries from this Anonymous or shall I call this person by any other name? This Abu Bakar with no Mundkars is a known rog of the village and has led a group of boys to bad vices as evident from the circle of his friends. What was he having a few years back? Nothing. Aggie and Mauvin built up his muscles and the end result is dadagiri. A known person approached me with defensive tactics but after going through the contents, I backed out. I will for once, not support these sellers of Goa.

  39. It's a disgrace that a Kannadiga Muslim was allowed to become the President of the Cansaulim-Arrossim-Cuelim Club (CAC) so that he could happily loot the coffers of this long established and well respected Club.

He now goes about threatening, intimidating and harrassing the poor villagers of Cansaulim.

The Income Tax Department should check where he's amassed his ill-gotten wealth. With goondas like him enjoying the patronage of Panchayat Members like Martha Saldanha and Ferwin Saldanha Goa and Minister's like Mauvin Godinho the day is not far when Remedios Dongrar will turn out to be another Moti Dongor.

Let Aboobakr Shaikh say that Aggie Alcacoas of the Queeny Realty Estate and Mauvin Godinho are responsible for the Gonsalves-Dias Gates Project. Likewise the Queeny Meadows project in Arrossim fields is also Aggie Alcosoas illegitimate baby along with Mauvin Godinho's blessings.

Let Abbobakr Shaikh deny that Aggie Alcacoas and hsi cousin Mauvin Godinho are responsible for backing him on all the illegalities.

Let Mauvin Godinho deny that at a public meeting in Cansaulim he officially made a statement that Abbobakr was his friend and no one should come in the way of the 'development' that Aboobakr has plaaned for the village.

Abbobakr is accusing the sons and daughters of Cansaulim of being viciuos and malicious in the newspapers. This bloody thug and goonda should be ashamed of himself

Pakistan: Some Christians denied aid unless they convert to Islam

The head of an organization that combats anti-Christian persecution charges that some Pakistani Christian families are being denied flood aid unless they convert to Islam.

“Some Christian refugees are openly denied aid, while others are told to leave or convert to Islam,” said Carl Moeller, president and CEO of Open Doors USA. “You can imagine that terrible choice: either you abandon your faith or you cannot feed your child.”

The Fides news agency has collected testimony from several Christians who have been denied aid:

“We were overcome by waters and we lost everything,” said Zubair Masih. “We went to a refugee camp near Thatta, but they did not allow us to enter because we are Christians.”

“My wife is sick, but the doctor refused to visit her and treat her, saying that we should wait for the World Health Organization to send Christian doctors,” said Abid Masih.

“I arrived with my family at a camp near Hyderabad, but the camp administration refused to register us because we are Christians and they did not give us anything,” said Aamir Gill. “We were forced to leave.”

A Pakistani bishop said that the Church, in contrast, does not discriminate in assisting the victims of the worst flooding in the nation’s history.

“The tireless work of Caritas continues in all directions, in every diocese and without discrimination on the recipients,” said Bishop Max John Rodrigues of Hyderabad. “In the diocese, we help everyone. Many religious and Catholic volunteers are working in the area. I see a lot of solidarity: Muslims, Christians, and Hindus are united in suffering.

“As far as the aid brought by Islamic charity groups, they defend themselves by saying that according to their doctrine, the money from the zakhat (Islamic alms) should go only to Muslims,” he added. “We should keep in mind that in this country there is a general discrimination against minorities and the poorest workers. It is a widespread mentality which can also affect this tragedy. The fact that the rich are better off than the poor, having saved their own land, is a serious matter which the government must address.”

Cansaulim being terrorized by MLA and builder?

Mauvin Godinho is in the dog house with NRI Goans who are incensed over what is happening at Cansaulim. A builder has to be at the centre of the storm and the builder in this case is one Babloo aka Aboobakr Shaikh. Here’s a quick run through.

Babloo is building a mega project in the middle of Cansaulim 66 flats, a swimming pool and a hall the purpose of which the villagers have serious reservations, which the villagers claim will be a mosque.

The panchayat gave him the permits so fast, the signing and stamping were a blur. Gram sabha objected. Panchayat ignored. Town and Country planning said the plan was incomplete and licence from Water Resources needed. Babloo said ehhh and did not give a new plan or get a permit. Gram Sabha said stop work.

T & C said issue stop work order. Panachayat said nonsense, let Babloo be free to do what he wants. Villagers objected. Then MLA Mauvin Godinho (a grandson of the village) addressed a public meeting where he is reported to have declared that he would not tolerate anyone standing in the way of the “development”.

Babloo has already blocked traditional access to the home of an elderly man called Inacio Xavier. Villagers allege Babloo is threatening them including a priest into whose ancestral property Babloo allegedly trespassed and cut some coconut trees. Cansaulim is ripe for trouble. It’s the courts now and activism. Villagers of Cansaulim are asking the rest of Goa to help them save their village.

  43. It's painful and shocking to see how the beautiful village of Cansaulim has become the target of the likes of Aboobakr Shaikh and Aggie Alcacoas. What is shocking is that for the greed of money even the MLA and the Panch Members will endorse the evils!

As a little child I recall every year visiting this beautiful village for the Three Kings Feast every January 6th and then going with the rest of the family for the Three Kings Feast Dance organized by the CAC Club. That was the highlight of our Christmas celebrations.

To think that very soon that beautiful village of Cansaulim-Arrossim-Cuelim will be converted into a concrete monstrosity by these crooks and goons. What a shame...

Our politicians, Panchayat members are the most corrupt and greedy bunch of crooks. How do we time and again allow them to come to power so that they can work against us? More of us need to work together to stop this. This site does a great service to expose how these corrupt bunch work to destroy beautiful villages of Goa like Cansaulim.

These evil doers like Aboobakr and Aggie Alcacoas think they are able to ruin the place as if they are nawabs and zamindars of the Shah-en-Shah (Mighty Emperor) Mauvin Godinho. The Martha Saldanhas and Ferwin Saldanhas need to understand that the wishes of the villagers cannot be by-passed.

No wonder Aboobakr who has been posting under the "anonymouse like ull said..." on this Niz Goenkar site has not been able to stand up to the news reports and the questions that he is being asked.

If what's left of our Goan villages like Cansaulim, Carmona, Colva, Morjim are destroyed then Goa will be lost forever and will be nothing better than the Gurgaons, Ahmednagars and Murshidabads in India.

  58. All construction in Goa needs to be stopped! PERIOD! Next to our home a ‘Goan’ builder from Bombay turned the land into a 'resort'….some ‘resort’. It is a concrete village with blocks and blocks of flats with a swimming pool. After a few years, we now have people speaking hindi, young boys several of them living in the flats. They make so much noise and spit all over. The swimming pool is filthy green. This builder took over the land in the front of us and is now putting up more buildings....we are trapped, no privacy. The place is so dirty with so many people all speaking hindi. And like I said the builder is a ‘goan’, Mascarranas is his name, that moved from Mumbai...acts like a ghanti, greedy, greedy ghanti must have lived too long in Mumbai to be a Goan. Misguided mobs
    Maria P Mascarenhas, Cansaulim
I agree with ‘Listen to the People’ by Jeremiah D’Souza (Herald, 15 Sept). Goa’s villages really are under evil attack. I recall Thomas Hardy: “God was palpably present in the country and the devil had gone with the world to town.” The devil is really all out to ruin Goa’s lush countryside and resorts to all kinds of tricks. In Gram Sabhas, the sane voices of villagers who seek to protect their natural habitat are sought to be stifled by heckling and manhandling. The tragedy is that the mob is sometimes blissfully unaware that they are being used by unscrupulous builders.
The disruption of the Cansaulim Gram Sabha is a clear case where a particular builder stooped so low as to even use religious sentiment to gather a mob to stifle the voice of opposition from villagers to a mega-project. Little did the gathering understand that they were called in the name of their beloved God to destroy His beautiful Creation and to fatten the pockets of an individual who shows contempt for the faith.

Yes Richard even the Church in Goa has come out very strongly against our Goa Government and elected representatives for destroying our Environment and Goan way of life. Hope the MLA Mauvin Godinho and other Politicians and Cansaulim Sarpanch Jose Manuel Fernandes Panchayat members Martha Sladanha, Ferwin Saldanha and the rest open their eyes and ears.

In a joint message the two church bodies Cariats and CSJP stated that care for the environment represents a challenge for all of humanity. "It is a matter of a common and universal duty, that of respecting a common good, destined for all, by preventing anyone from using with impunity thedifferent categories of beings, whether living or inanimate-animals, plants, the natural elements-simply as one wishes, according to one's own economic needs," the message states.

Commenting on the ecological situation in the State, Caritas-Goa and CSJP highlighted three of the "degrading conditions" -- land, the mining industry and garbage menace -- that needed urgent attention and action.

Commenting on the mining industry, they noted that illegal mining for ironore is rapidly destroying Goa. "Politicians make statements that this industry provides jobs to a large number of people and hence must be permitted to prosper." "This only reveals how little these persons in power are concerned about the irreparable destruction of the lower slopes of the Western Ghats, the devastating pollution of air, soil and water which threaten the basic health and well-being of the people of the area, including the labour force." "They seem to be blind to the reality of loss of traditional occupations and livelihood of farmers and others who earned on the produce of the forest. Should not the Government have taken immediate steps to stop illicit mining activities? If this is not bad Governance, what else is it? Goans, awaken and together save our hills, our forests, the 'aam admi' of those areas andrest of us," the message stated. On the issue of garbage menace, the two bodies stated that the picturesque face of Goa has been sullied by mounds of garbage and filth everywhere, beit on beaches, along roadways and markets. "Hotels, casinos, barges, housing societies and even citizens are responsible for this shamefully distressing situation. Sewage is released with impunity in drains, ponds, streams, rivers and the sea. The sewerage system is faulty in most places.""Repairs are slow, if complaints are ever attended to. Where are those responsible? Why are we citizens neglecting our duties to make them accountable," asked the CSJP and Caritas-Goa.

  77. The destruction of Goan villages like Cansaulim needs to be condemned by al. These all the last remanants of what truly represents Goa and Goans.

  78. That Sarpanch Jose Manuel Fernandes and Panchayat members Martha Saldanha and Ferwin Saldanha are well known for their corruption. They along with Mauvin Godinho have destroyed Cansaulim by supporting the builders against the villagers.

  79. Our politicians and Panchayats are eager to destroy our Goa villages so that they can go about selling Goa while granting illegal permissions and reaping huge kickbacks and also get free flats and shops.

  80. Very sad state of affairs to see village after village being destroyed by the greed of these heartless rogues.

  81. Does anyone know what is happening on these shocking story that has raised a major strorm all over Goa namely the illegal Cansaulim projects namely the Gonsalves-Dias Gates project and Queey Meadows? This is really a sad state of affairs in Goa. It is high time this whoel story is shared with everyone.

I was at the Vasco Civil court the other day and heard from my advocate that Goond a Aboobakr Shaikh, crook builder Aggie Alcacoas (Queeny Realty Estates Proprietor, ex-Sarpanch Velcao and Mauvin Godinho's cousin, along with Stuart Gonsalves-Dias and his wife Lorna and Fr. Valmiki Gonsalves-Dias all have legal cases filed for fraud and illegally ursurping the Gonsalves-Dias Family Properties by using fraud and illegal methods.

All the five above could land behind bars for this.

If you know of anyone who has purchased flats from Aggie Alcacoas and Aboobakr Shaikh at these projects please share this with them and ask them to check on the ownership of these properties immediately or they stand to loose out their money to these bunch of crooks.

They are better off getting their money back or risk loosing it to these rogues who are hiding all their illegal activities from this buch of fraudsters and corrupt crroks.

This is really shocking - maybe Mauvin Godinho who has been Aboobakr Shaikh's god-father and is Aggie Alcacoas's cousin will rise to defend these bum chums of his specially when you have received big kickbacks.

Likewise the crooks in the Cansaulim Panchayat namely Sarpanch Jose Manuel Fernandes and Martha Saldanha and Ferwin Saldanha are working overtime to see these projects through as they have already received their huge payments and been allocated flats.

God save us from such cheaters, looters and badmash goondas and rogues who are now apparently trying to see these illegal projects through by hook or by crook a sthey have collected huge payments for these flats.

I almost invested my life savings in the Gonsalves-Dias Gates project but stopped myself after finding out that Aboobakr Shaikh was involved in this project and knew that there was something definitely wrong as it was he who had swindled the Cansaulim-Arossim-Cuelim Club of huge amounts when he became President. Likewise a good friend from Kuwait warned me about Aggie Alcacoas and how he has been swindling people all these years. I am glad that I was warned about them.

  82. Just saw the promotion of Play "Jivit" and guess who are the Chief Guests - Digamabar Kamat, Alemao, Mauvin Godinho at Ravindra Bhavan Margao on October 10th . Aggie Alcacoas also has a Queeny Productions in addition to Queeny Realty Estates and many other Business Establishments.

What a high flying production - obviously Aggie Alcacoas is Mauvin Godinho's cousin!

  83. My goodness this is quite shocking Jorge. A very good friend from board the ship had put his money in the Gonsalves-Dias Gates project and I had told him right at the start it's very suspicious that Aboobakr Shaikh who knows nothing about construction is being promoted as the builder by Aggie. He was byuing a small flat for over 35 lakhs.

Obviously this was because the ownership of this property was in question and this was being done all illegally! Please if anyone knows more about this can you share more details?

To think that all these rogues are trying to do all sorts of wrong-doings because of their greed!

  84. Yes this whole affair has been an ongoing troublesome affair with greed having got the better of even Sarpanch Jose Manuel Fernandes and Panchayat members liek Martha Saldanha and Ferwin Saldanha.

Outside goondas were brought in by Aboobakr Shaikh from his community at the last Gram Sabha were intimidating the Cansaulim villagers.

  85. I suggest Magson that your friend better check on the ownership of the property and the fact that Aboobakr Shaikh is illegally constructing this Gonsalves-Dias Gates Project. They will make it seem that everything is clean and in order.

Of course from what I've been given to understand this is actually being done all hand in glove with Aggie Alcacoas from Queeny Realty Estates really being the master-mind. Aggie is of course Mauvin Godinho's cousin so with all the political connections they will do their best to see this project go through.

  86. It has become clear how Mauvin Godinho is working against the interest of the villagers in his constitueny be it Cansaulim or Sancoale or Dabolim. All he cares about is getting more kickbacks!

    P. D'Cruz story about Sancoale has exposed Mauvin Godinho!

  87. This is nothing but these politicians and Panchayat members being too greedy for words. That is why all we hear are wicked ideas to destroy our beautiful Goa. These beautiful villages are all that's left of what Goa is all about. They are hell bent on making them concrete jungles because of their corruption and greed.

  88. This article and the recent article on the Gram Sabha in Cansaulim that is in all the newspapers in Goa should be a wake up call for the villagers of Cansaulim if they want to protect their village from corrupt MLAs, Panchayats, builders.

    ReplyDelete
  89. Villages like Cansaulim should show the door to the corrupt Sarpanch Jose Manuel Fernandes and Martha Saldanha whose comments that the Gram Sabha is nothing and has no powers and Ferwin Saldanha who was attacking the Gram Sabha members as per the news reports.

Other villages like Sancoale whose Sarpanch Sharda Rathod is working against the Goan villagers too should be dismissed.

The MLA Mauvin Godinho is the one working behind the scenes to destroy the villages in his Constituency so that he can hold on to power through his vote banks.

    ReplyDelete
  90. All villagers in Mauvin Godinho's constituency need to understand how this crook politcian along with the Panchayat is up to no good and will destroy our villages. I am from Sancoale and
saw how we Goans are becoming nothing but the outsiders get his backing to do what they please.
