August 31:All Goa Secondary School Teachers Association were informed that their demands will be resolved by September 5th by Mr. Atanasio Monserate the Education minister of Goa.
Mr. Monserrate spoke to a delegation of Teachers Association that had approached him to discuss all the issues of the teachers which were pending before him, plus the implemetatin of Part-B. President of the Association Mr. Vithoba Desai said that Bhaskar Nayak, the in-charge of Laptops distribution to the teachers, have assured to distribute the laptops the concerned applicants by September 5th.
The Teachers delegation also thanked the minister for is quick commitment to fulfill their demands. They also expressed their hopes pertaining the fulfillment of their demands and anticipated better co-operation from Mr. Monserrate.
Dessai brought to the notice of the Education Minster that earlier in V Pay Scales teachers were paid Part-B Scales which have to be automatically carried in VI Pay Scales. He informed that while implementing the VI Pay Scales the teachers have been erroneously placed in Part-A Scales which are categorically recommended for untrained and non-teaching category of employees.
The delegation informed the Education Minister and the Education Secretary that the Education Department is discriminating and meting step motherly treatment to the Aided School Teachers. The Minister was informed about the delay in payment of aided school teachers with a requested to direct the Education Department to release Salary, T.A., D.A., Bonus, Arrears and supplementary bills in time.
I don't like to comment on this "uneducated" Education Minister. Bahhhhhhhhhhhhhbbbb Ussshhhhhh!!!
