HOW TO REVOLT AGAINST CORRUPTION by P. Cruz, Vasco Da Gama - Goa

Corruption is diseases were each and every country faces in the world. Corruption in India is unbelievable, it’s in all the states of India and right now I want to talk about Goa to where I belong.

There are lot of diseases which have no cure but they are trying to find out the solution and trying hard. So we have lot of corruption in Goa which has reached very high and we have to fight against it. Here are some of the plans for fighting them and also I will appreciate if someone recommends more or something else.

• We require some informers about corruption and injustice so we can expose them in front of everyone
• We require a perfect organisation and leaders like Dr. Oscar Rebello, Mr. Prashant or every Nizgoenkars
• Try to win the hearts of the people of Goa, since they have decided to bring the 40 chors in. Try to educate them they are required to kick the 40 chors.

How we do that?

• Float an organisation with committee members and their roles
• Try to get some funds and keep good Book Keeping of the funds
• Established a Radio Station FM or hire from private company, better to have one’s own private FM channel
• Employ Nizgoenkar for this as RJ (Radio Jockey) most of the people who write blogs and love for Goa. Also various staff like technicians, data handlers, etc which is required to run a full pledge radio channel for 24 hours. Also 2-3 landline telephone lines are required; we can use our personal mobiles plus we require an office cum Radio room. We can use our personal laptop for the work and load everything on a hard drive which will be kept in the office.
• Through the channels play Konkani songs 24 hours and in between reach the people and ask them for any justice or problems they are facing. Take their numbers and note down everything on the book or computer about the problems, give an identification number of the stated problem so the guy can have this as the registered complaint. Keep the date, time, name of the person address, etc. and verify the number or ask them to give landline number.
• After verification try to contact the Government Departments through phones and supply this information live to the people so the people will come to know what’s going on and their answer. We can get the phone numbers from the yellow pages.
• Also try to contact the Minister of the concerned department and state the problem which should be telecast live to the public and let the public listen what he says. If he does not answer try again and again and let the public know about his interest to solve the problems of the people
• Highlight the illegal and unwanted land shark, highlight the mining conditions and its effect…
• With this we can reach every corner of Goa and educate the people about corruption and win the hearts of the people
• If we know any vacancies in government or somewhere we can announce them on the radio channel and help the youth. Only if the youth earn they will stand on their own legs and will not take money from politicians for their daily need
• Telecast live interviews with the Nizgoenkars, telecast history of Goa, etc.
• Telecast song on request….. Take interviews in school, colleges, offices, etc it will grow like fire. Debate on scams…..
• Support the people on Radio who are good.. also we can put our own candidates
• I go for radio because every household can afford a Radio and also you can play it when you are driving, office, etc.
• Also we try to put it live net on website so the Goenkars who are abroad can play this channel

Problem of Funds & office? We can solve that...

• We can rent an office or use someone’s rooms (we require 2 rooms only) one for office and one for station, with bathroom
• If a Goeankar asks us to use any 2 rooms of his house or anything is free we can do that or build some
• Funds can be raised by all the Goeankars, contributing and a proper receipt should be handed and announced on the Radio channel. We need to keep a good account of money in the bank (this can be worked out).
• No one is compulsory to donate for this if someone wishes may whatever the amount it may be.
• We can earn on the adds telecast on radio and use for our electricity bills, etc.
• We Goeankar try to get together and solve this mess on our own nothing will happen if we do not act.

Some might think this is impossible, but this can be possible if we act! For me nothing seems impossible if we are united. Only we cannot do what God can do!
