BETUL RESIDENT STABS WIFE, GOES MISSING

MARGAO 9th August 10: In a shocking incident, a man from Baradi-Betul attempted to kill his wife by stabbing her with a knife at his in-law’s place, also assaulted another woman and fled from the scene with the weapon. The accused is absconding since then.
The sub-inspector of Cuncolim police station, Mr Prassanna Bhagat informed that the incident took place on Saturday night wherein the victim, Ms Agnes Fernandes (40), was stabbed by her accused husband, Ubaldo (45) after a heated argument broke out between them.
The victim, Ms Agnes, who has received several stab wounds, is said to be in a critical state at Goa Medical College (GMC) and Hospital, Bambolim.
According to police information, on July 27, Ms Agnes had lodged a complaint at the Cuncolim police station against her accused husband, Ubaldo, for subjecting her to constant harassment. Police, after taking cognisance of her complaint had booked her husband under Section 151 of CrPC as a preventive measure and later, he was released by the orders of sub-divisional magistrate (SDM), Margao.
Thereafter, on July 28, Ms Agnes went to stay at her brother’s place and also took some household items alongwith her and since then she was staying there.
Enraged over this, on Saturday, the accused went to his mother-in-law’s place and entered into a heated argument with his wife. The scene soon turned violent and the victim was stabbed several times, leaving her critically injured. Ms Blacksy, a family member of the victim, who rushed to rescue her, was also left injured in the process.
Ms Blacksy was then taken to a public heath centre at Balli for treatment.
Offences under Sections 307, 324 and 504 of Indian Penal Code (IPC) have been registered against the accused. Police said that so far they have recorded some statements and that further investigation is in progress.

  1. Firstly this man should not have been released. but doing so a close eye should have been kept on him. Although this being a domestic violence, the law in Goa is an ass.

The accuse seems to be roaming freely with same knife which he use to stab Ms.Agnes & Ms.Blacksy round Mussair-Betul but Police are pressurized not to arrest him by Velim MLA Felipe,at this junction the victims family approach Churchill and our pighead Chor Chill direct them to approach Auda Veigas....lets see what will be next move...since the accuse have already threaten to burn the victims house and kill rest of family members.

  3. All these crimes like murders and other criminal activities started with the invasion of the brutes and beasts the Indians into Goa. All over the world the Indians are treated like filthy animals and are scorned.
