VISHWAJIT RANE ASSURES USGAO PEOPLE OF THEIR EXCLUSION FROM NEW TALUKA

PANJIM: Health minister Vishwajit Rane has assured the people of Usgao that their demand for exclusion of Usgao village from the new Dharbandora taluka will be met soon.  I have discussed the issue of exclusion of Usgao from Dharbandora taluka with chief minister Digambar Kamat, Rane said and exuded confidence that an early solution to the issue, in the interests of the people and Usgao village, will be found.
Speaking at Usgao on Tuesday during a meeting called to discuss the issue, Rane said in order to avoid any inconvenience to the people of Usgao in getting their work done, all necessary steps will be taken to retain it in Ponda taluka.
The chief minister is also sensitive to the issues of the people he added.  The health minister said he will initiate steps to develop Usgao on lines of Valpoi. ''I will visit Usgao panchayat once in 10 days to hear the grievances of the people and offer them prompt solutions,'' he said.
The health minister said the ID Hospital at Ponda and Government Hospital at Usgao are expected to start functioning in the next seven to eight months and stress will be laid on employment generation. He also assured to resolve problems of Usgao with regards to bypass road, better quality roads, market complex, water supply and new panchayat ghar.
Ratnakar Parab Fatrekar, sarpanch of Usgao and Ashok Prabhu, social worker spoke on the occasion. Ramnath Dangi welcomed and Deepika Prabhu, vice-chairperson, ZP North Goa, proposed the vote of thanks.
