MORE LIES BY GOA CM: ASSURES SOLUTION TO KHARIAWADDO PEOPLE

MARGAO: Even as agitated homeless residents of Khariawaddo descended in the commercial capital on Saturday, Chief Minister Digambar Kamat who is known as a “LIER CM OF GOA” has promised to work out a solution to the problem after a joint meeting with officials of the State Government officials and MPT.
The meeting is likely to take place either on Tuesday or Wednesday and will discuss the demands raised by the homeless residents for their rehabilitation and to save the remaining structures.  The Chief Minister gave the assurance to a delegation of agitating fishermen from Khariwado, who had been demanding a stop to the demolition of the structures.
He said the government would try to protect the interest of the fishermen at Khariawaddo.  “A delegation representing the affected people have handed a representation to me with their grievances. Their demand is that I should try to work out a solution”, Kamat said, adding that he would call a meeting of all concerned, including the MPT Chairman on Tuesday or Wednesday to deliberate on the demands.
Kamat said the government would try to ensure that the interests of the affected are protected, adding that the issue is connected with the MPT.
A member of the delegation, Fr Bismarck told newsmen after the meeting that the Chief Minister has assured to work out a solution to save the houses of the people. Officials of the MPT and Goa Government will meet next week and discuss the grievances of the people”, Fr Bismarck said, adding that the Chief Minister has categorically said that his doors will be open for the affected residents if the MLAs or Councillors are not supporting them on the issue.
Michael Pereira said the delegation has impressed upon the Chief Minister to make provision for a shelter for the homeless after Friday’s demolition. “The Chief Minister told us that ample time was given to go for a stay, but the 66 affected residents could not get the stay after being misguided by some politicians. “We have asked the Chief Minister to make provision to house the affected residents and to save the remaining houses from demolition”, he added.
Earlier in the day, a large number of affected residents of Khariwado descended in the commercial capital in a bid to draw the attention of the chief minister to their plight.
After assembling near the Lohia Maidan, the affected people took out a morcha in the city before culminating at the District Collectorate building, where they had a meeting with District Collector, G P Naik and SP, South Allan De Sa.
A delegation of the affected residents along with the district Collector and SP, South later headed to the residence of the Chief Minister for the talks. The Chief Minister’s residence was literally converted into a fortress with the police authorities not taking any chances.

The EVIL Leader Mr SIMON PEREIRA(Murmugao Bachao Abhian & Goa Fishing Boat Owners Association leader)has taken all the fisher folk community for a ride only for his personal goal as he also wants to contest next elections. He promised people that their homes will not be demolished. On the other hand he was more interested and supportive for REHABILITATION as he own many houses in that area. He also did not cooperate with the Local MLA which lead to confusion for this demolition. Being leader of Fishing boat association, he signed MOU with MPT for REHABLITATION of this people and he was happy to have a new docking facility in Baina only for FISHING Boat Owners Association as their selfish demands were met. He did not think about other small fisherman who earn their lively hood on that beach. He filed a very weak case only with the intention of loosing it in the High Court. His own evidence which allowed two transhippers (SESA Ship) to load at MPT BERTH when whole VASCO was BANDH made this case ineffective as he was paid handsomely. He was also instrumental in influencing PARISH PRIEST to make the statement regarding rehabilitation programme for the affected people on the Church property as his aunt is a tenant for this entire field(Church Property). There are also plan in place for this property to be developed and relocating this fisherman's.Few days back, there was also a meeting held between MPT AND simon.Mr SIMON IS A MAJOR CAUSE FOR THIS Demolition. Evil will be defeated by GOOD!
