PANJIM: In a complete volte-face, NCP legislator and former Goa Tourism Minister Fransisco Pacheco on Wednesday said he is not interested in getting inducted into the state cabinet. After meeting NCP chief Sharad Pawar, Pacheco said he has conveyed his disinterest in the cabinet berth to the party high command and would instead continue working for the party in the state.
"I have a great confidence in my leaders and want to work for the party in Goa," said Pacheco, who had threatened to quit the party demanding his induction in the cabinet, earlier this month.
Pacheco was camping in Delhi for last three days and held two rounds of talks with Pawar over the Goa issue. Few of the state executive committee members also accompanied the former Goa tourism minister in the talks.
The state executive had earlier threatened to resign en-mass demanding ministerial position to Pacheco, who had to quit after his name cropped up in a murder case.
Pacheco said he told the party chief how Congress-led government was "ill-treating” NCP in Goa. "The high command has made note of the problems and has assured to intervene in the matter," he said.
The legislator had said on Tuesday that the NCP was mulling the possibility of withdrawing from the state government and decision in this regard would be taken in the meeting today. However, sources said the Delhi meeting did not discuss the withdrawal issue.
The NCP leader was tipped to be inducted in the cabinet in December last year by dropping both the party ministers. But his plans were scuttled after both the ministers revolted against the party high command refusing to step down.
The Congress party too supported the beleaguered NCP ministers refusing to induct Pacheco despite Pawar requesting for the same. – PTI
Mickky should understand that being a holder of scams certificate, he has no place in the public view. The last thing is we need these type of uneducated and scamy men as politicians to run our Goa. Good that he quit, I doubt he did it from the bottom of his heart. In Delhi they must have shown him his own picture of what dirty life he is leading which is exposed to the public. Such a character cannot lead a state. He was shamelessly forcing the party to give him power or to induct him. A shameless character never seen before. Apparently he has installed RE-Cycling bins at Betalbatim.These bins are never emptied.They are purely a "SHOWPIECE" near his ugly Mansion.
Perhaps he could donate his HUMMER for collection and disposal of garbage.That would be an admirable act on his behalf.He should just make sure that the garbage from Betalbatim is not dumped in Benaulim.That would spell an inter village war.
I would advise Miccky to retire from Politics as he is not and was never destined to be a Politician.
His Birthright is CRIMINALITY.He was further educated in this art of corruption and criminality by Churchill Alemao.He was further aided and guided into criminality and corruption by Babush Monseratte.
However I see their days coming to an end.Churchill and Monseratte are both looking gaunt and old.Mickky is over "PUFFED-UP".These are early signs of the begining to an end.I hope a painful ans inglorious end.

The main reason for Mickey Mouse’s withdrawing from the cabinet post may be because his high command must have already got the necessary instructions from the US authorities that he is an US citizen and holding a green card hence he cannot hold any Indian post at the moment. Otherwise he would not have kept quite on this issue as he has exclaimed in his statement that he will continue working for the party only. There is something cooking behind the scene. Hope we get the right information.
