POLITICS, BEFORE AND AFTER: by Joaquim Correia-Afonso

BEFORE THE ELECTIONS:
Our Party will fulfill whatever it promises.
Only the fools will believe that
We won't fight against corruption.
Because, if there is something right about us, it is that
Honesty and transparency are fundamental
to achieve our ideals

We shall show that it is the height of stupidity to believe that
the Mafiosi will continue in the government, as always.
We shall, without doubt, ensure that
Social justice will be the aim of our action.
Inspite of it, there are idiots who think that
We may govern with the stains of the old politics.
When we assume power, we shall do everything in order that
The maharajas and the swindlers stop their illegal activities.

We shall in no way permit that
The economic resources of the country are exhausted.
We shall exercise our power till
You all understand that
We are the new political set-up.

AFTER TAKING OVER POWER:
Read the same lines, from bottom to top.
If you have difficulty, then read on:

AFTER TAKING OVER POWER:
We are the new political set-up.
You all understand that
We shall exercise our power till

  2. Joaquim Correia-Afonso; Without a doubt your poem recites the truth. Yet the crumb eaters and habitual voters will vote the came persons repeatedly to power.

This poem should be the bidding prayer at the swearing in ceremony. Posting flayers of this poem around Goa would be even better.

Joaquim is a fitting poem to our corrupt ministers. specially for The limping pig of Varca who promises one thing and does the other for his pockets.
