HOUSELESS INCLUDED IN THE CENSUS BUT NOT THE OVERSEAS GOANS: NEW MIGRANTS TO BE GOANS SOON

MARGAO: Census officials fanned out to the nook and corner of the state on late Monday evening to enumerate the houseless migrant population ;to enroll them as GOANS.  In Margao, Deputy Collector Johnson Fernandes and his team of officials descended in the migrant inhabited Gandhi market at around 8.15 pm and went round the area tracking down the houseless.
Goans working overseas have been ordered to be excluded fromt he census as according to the Goa Government they are no longer GOANS even though they hold Indian Passports.  After tireless efforts of search of Migrants to Goanise them the Census team managed to enumerate a few persons from the locality under the houseless population head, before

with a Migrant Family at Gandhi Market Margao
they moved on to another migrant inhabitant area at Cine Lata for the houseless.  “The exercise to enumerate the houseless population is part of the census operations carried out across the country. The houseless population is enumerated on the last day of the exercise”, he said.
The census team comprised of Manoj Kamat, Cynthia Nevis Joao, Vijay Sawant, Teja Naik under the supervision of Rajendra Gaonkar.  The Deputy Collector was later seen at the Margao railway station as part of the ongoing exercise and were scheduled to head towards the Khareband area of the city.
Salcete Mamlatdar, Paresh Faldessai was in the Gudi-Paroda area of Salcete taluka with a team of officials, as part of the exercise to enumerate the houseless.
The Guddi area of Paroda village has a sizeable floating migrant population, especially working on the stone crushers and quarrying. It is against this backdrop that the Salcete Mamlatdar descended in the village late this evening.
Incidentally, while the census officials has enumerated the houseless population as part of the exercise, many Goans working on board cruise liners and merchant Navy, besides working in the Gulf were left out from the exercise by the census authorities.
Under directions from the national census authorities, the local census officials have omitted large number of Goan youth working abroad from enumeration.  The problem will be felt the most in Salcete taluka where minimum one member of a family is employed on board the ships and return home every 6-9 months depending on the contract.
Local officials feared that the census will not dish out the correct information on the population with a large section of the society left out in the exercise.

  1. Yes these houseless people are none other than the ghanttis brought in by Digambar Cowmuth and Pilot Ravi Naik. Even homeless ghanttis are transformed into Goans by this buffalo Digambar Cowmuth or Digamber Urine of the Cow. Somebody should shoot down this buffalo I perform weekly puja in my house here in UK that this buffalo, along with pig of Varca die a miserable death.

  2. So the homeless in goa count as goans, but those goans who work overseas dont. Probably the next step will be, they give these homeless ration cards and delete the names of goans working abroad from their ration cards. Nice. Goans are made strangers in their own homeland. This association with india does not bode well for goans interest.

Where are the crumb eaters. Why were not these census officials shot dead as they roamed like ghanttis in search of ghanttis to make them Goans? These officials who are seen in the picture should be noted. Ask collector Johnson to keep some of these ghanttis in his house so they are no longer houseless and living in the house of a collector they can be converted into Goans. What a disaster for Goans!

  4. The hafta collector Johnson has become collector by looting the ghanttis so why won't he ask the census officials to roam around gutters and collect migrants whom he is going to give a home in his own house so that he can collect some money in the form of rent. The FATHER OF GHANTTIS Digambar Cowmuth must have asked Johnson to make sure that he rounds up all the migrants and makes them NEW GOANS

  5. The census officials too like like ghantis in the picture and looks like they are out collecting broken bottles, and other dirt from the garbage. What a matching company they got to interact.

The name census is an eye wash, this excercise is nothing but full-fledge census for creation of vote bank considering fast approach of election in an year's time. One can notice how the so called officals are working till late night making their presence in every migrant shanties. Will they do the same thing for the sake of Goans?. Never, one can observer in every Govt. offices, these people cannot seat nor provide service to public even five minutes access beyond to their official time either you wait till they are back from lunch break or visit next day. Puppet CM Digandu Kamat must have realised that he stands week chance in next election and that is how he is planning his strategy much in advance. People of Salcete beware these born bas..rd are out to make Goa another eastern state of India.

That is the ace in the pack for the politicians, reduce the number of Goans and increase the number of migrants so the demographics change in their favour, so the pissed off Goans don't count any more, as minorities are treated as non existant - Good ploy Ali Baba Goans unite it's now or never

  10. This is another socking, quite serious and grave concerned news to be noted and action needed appropriately. See the posture and gesture of the census lady demanding by force the migrant worker about the information she is seeking for. Now this is some sort of game these rogue politicians are playing with the Niz Goenkars. Are they trying to habitat all the migrant workers coming to Goa free of cost and the Goans to sleep on the roads? They are either shivering in their paints to take this type of census for reasons that they do not loose the next election. Consequently now the news will be spread among all the ghantis that free accommodation and ration cards are being provided by the Goa Government and the influx of more ghantis will be full upto the brim. I wonder in which part of the world this is prevailing? My blood is already started boiling in all its veins and heart started pounding heavily. Is there no one to oppose such atrocities on the Goans? Can we approach the High Court to pass an ordinance to stop all the influx of migrant workers and the issuance of ration cards vis-à-vis our right to vote for Goans only with immediate effect? The only solution left is to take the power in our own hands and throw these rogue politicians out of the country along with these ghantis. Are we to be orphaned in our own land.

Now the present situation in the Middle East is spreading like wild fire in other neigbhouring countries too and if all the Goans are sent back, what will be the state of all the Goans in our own country. Are we to sit in our verandas and see the destruction of our motherland. Can we all act like the brave AVATAR who can put an end to this destruction. If one AVATAR can show us the way, it will be a promising effort. It is not merely enough to take a pose with our mike in our hands but let us speak out and be the mouth piece of all our Niz Goenkars to save us from these evil scoundrels. God says let us first help ourselves then God will help us in our distress. With these words in mind, let us put our foot forward to save GOA from this destruction. GOD SAVE OUR GOA. VIVA GOA.

So this is how they try to finish of the Goans from Goa and make it India. They should always remember that we Goans will never consider ourselves as Indians except the Freedom Farters and the brainwashed youth who have joined the RSS. It is rightly said that India may have taken over Goa, Occupied it illegally but they can never occupy the Goan hearts and they can never get the Goan love and Goans will never agree that they are Indians. True!

Where ever there is a Railway Station there are always homeless people around who then are called Migrants. They all come to Goa by choice in search of work or during tourists seasons to either beg or steal. Do not be fooled by some of them they have their own properties in their states when they return there the roam like kings , just as Goans coming from abroad behave. Did we have slums during the Portuguese time? I am not being a prejudice but let us keep Goa for Goans,

  15. Enogh is enough! We need to take some tips from the Assamese,Nagas etc..after their (migrants) work is done and their dues paid these migrants should be given a deadline to leave, failing which they should be summarily executed as is the case in Assam.
