MARGAO: After quiting Congress on many occasions before and with With state legislative assembly elections not too far away, PWD minister Churchill Alemao used the occasion of the Telaulim-Varca bridge inauguration to strike a chord among the voters, as he sought to project himself as a man committed for the development of the village, which, he said, had remained underdeveloped during the tenure of the former Navelim legislator.
Churchill seems to be out to bluff people to win the coming elections by giving speeches that are nothing but lies. "Your former MLA, during his tenure for 25 years neglected the development of the village.
The development that I have ushered in for Navelim is there for everyone to see. Don't listen to your former MLA, let us all strive for development," Alemao said, in an attempt to reach out to his voters to stake claim to represent them again in the state legislative assembly.
While reassuring the Congress leadership that he was not going to quit the Congress party, the Salcete strongman in his inimitable style said that it was the people of his constituency who would decide his political plans.
"I am not quitting the Congress, rest assured. But if you want me to quit I will willingly do so. If people tell me to quit, I will listen to them, as they had elected me as the SGF candidate. I joined the Congress party to ensure that the village is not deprived of development," Alemao said.
The PWD minister came down heavily on the former Navelim MLA, who he held responsible for instigating the people to object to the construction of the three bridges to be built across river Sal.
Referring to the litigation pertaining to the Benaulim-Sinquetim bridge on account of which the work has been stalled, Alemao said, "File as many cases as you want to, but let it be known to all that the Benaulim-Sinquetim bridge will be a reality. Your former MLA also tried to garner opposition against the Assolna-Cavelossim bridge. But I am confident, this bridge too will be completed by the end of the 2011," Alemao said.
Referring to the opposition to acquisition of lands for rehabilitation of displaced vendors at Ravanfond, Alemao said that the lush green paddy fields at Ravanfond were acquired by the government before his tenure. "I merely facilitated allotment of land for rehabilitating the needy, what was wrong in that?" he asked.
Chief minister Digambar Kamat also came out in strong support of Alemao and lauded him for his commitment for the development of the constituency.
Terming Alemao as "a man of the masses", Kamat recalled how he had come to rescue of the Congress party by merging the SGF into the Congress soon after the last assembly elections. "Churchill saved the Congress party when it was facing a crisis. When the talks for merger were in progress, Churchill laid down the condition that all the assurances given by him in his manifesto would be fulfilled by the Congress.
Congress had accepted the conditions, and I am happy most of his assurances are being fulfilled," Kamat said. State Congress president Subhash Shirodkar said 'Congress needs Churchill and Churchill needs Congress'.
"Churchill is good at winning the hearts of the people. The Congress party thereby gets strengthened," he said, adding that Congress would always support Alemao. Alemao's free tank distribution scheme also found favour with the Congress chief.
Urban development minister Joaquim Alemao urged Churchill not to quit the Congress, as he exuded confidence that Congress would emerge triumphant by winning at least 27-28 seats. "We need no alliance with any party," Joaquim said.
Churchill is the biggest fraud in Goa - a looter who is only interested in the welfare of his family (FAMIGLIA-as in Godfather). He has made his money by selling Goa to ghanttis for his personal benefit. It's a shame that this illiterate family is exploiting the gullible people of Salcete all these years. Now he is all out to sell Carmona to the Rahejas.

Chorchill did so much for Navelim in 4 which Faleiro could not do for 25 years Yes, that's a fact Chorchill looted Goa in the name of Navelim in 4 years whereas it took 25 years of Faleiro. The gutter rats are scared now and they want to ban the ratol ( Mickky) as they feel threaten from ratol in the coming assembly election.

Goa today is one of the filthiest holiday destinations, as for crime it is second to Delhi. A stronger based third Goan party can rescue Goa and Goans from the clutches of destruction by these current crooks mainly from the south of Goa. "Goa needs Goans Unity and Goans need Goa to survive"

Valanka is Churchills ugly Doll.He takes his doll everywhere these days.HAs anyone noticed she never ever smiles.I wonder why.However I am sure others will have a theory on this.She is probably in awe and shit scared of her father.This indicates she does not have her own mind.It is controlled by her Father. I am sure he will not have learnt much from the goig ons in Egypt ,Tunisia,Libya where family regimes are abhorred and disliked.India may be a Democracy.But as I watched the BBC Journalist Talk Show, The Chief of the Times of India suggested that Indians too are becoming angry and angrier with all the corruption and family control of affairs in India.Apparently FAcebook and Twitter are becoming deadly weapons in the fight for Justice in India.
I doubt Churchill knows what FaceBook is.He probably thinks it is a Photo albumn of peoples faces.As for Twitter,Churchill must think this is where Birds demonstrate diferent forms chirping.
I am still waiting for Kamat to shut down FACEBOOK.He should not tell Churchill this, as Churchills children and relatives and friends have Facebook accounts.I am sure if Churchill gets to know this,he will march everyone to Valiankani for a holy retreat.Apparently he has negoitated a weekly train service to Valiankani, with Railways Minister MAMATA.
Personally I hope he goes to Valiankani and stays there with his whole family.BMW cars included.Goa will then breathe a big sigh of relief and prosper to a degree.I say a degree as there are other scoundrels in the Legislature that have to be eradicated.
Valanka may call her self a Social Worker these days.I am not sure if this is better than being called an Advocate.However I believe that Valanka is doing no more than "Finiancial" Social Engineering / working.Father and daughter are both taking advantage of poor Goans who wish to get their administrative work done and which should be their automatic right.
To get an NOC in Goa these days, one has to pay a bribe to not only the PAnchayat..but also to the MLA abd his colloborators along the line of administration.Door keepers & Peons / ushers too have become greedy and now expect the public to pay a fee to get access to an official.If they do not the have to approach Valanka, who from a small fee gets part 1 of it done. No doubt part 2,3.4 etc follows .By this action,the Churchills and other MLA`s control the mind of the poor & uneducated electorate, for a vote.Shame on them and curses too.
