PANJIM: Adv. Aires Rodrigues’s manifesto for Ward No 30 of the Corporation of City of Panjim was today released at Ribandar at the hands of noted Ribandar based artist Mr. Shyam Kalangutkar. Speaking on the occasion Adv. Aires Rodrigues stated that the people’s manifesto was prepared after consulting and seeking suggestions of the residents of the ward.
Adv. Rodrigues said that he had decided to contest the March 13th CCP polls with an endeveaour to turn Ward No 30 into the best ward of CCP.
Adv. Rodrigues further stated that a committee of local citizens would plan and monitor the problems and development works in the ward while also ensuring quality control of every development activity carried out in the ward.
The 9 point manifesto includes a CCP office at Ribandar, a market, children’s park, public library and a community hall with special facilities for senior citizen’s and handicapped.
The manifesto also proposes a football ground, beautification of the Ribandar river front, Sewage project and underground electricity cabling.
While vowing to make Ribandar garbage and plastic free, the manifesto also proposes a 24 hour health care facility and upgradation of the Police outpost
Adv. Aires Rodrigues has also stated that his focus would be on zero tolerance to any corruption or nepotism at the Corporation of City of Panjim.
