MARGAO: Public Works Department Minister, Churchill Alemao has warned that he would go all out with the two beleaguered Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) ministers, Jose Philip D’Souza and Nilkanth Halarnkar if the duo is dropped from the Digambar Kamat ministry.
“My conscience and my moral tell that I should support and side the two ministers in reciprocation of their decision to save the Kamat government when the G-7 had planned to dislodge the ruling dispensation. I cannot leave the two ministers in the lurch”, he said on Saturday.
Reacting to the statement by NCP chief Surendra Sirsat on his utterances on the political development, Alemao said “Sirsat is my friend and a sincere person. I am not blaming him for the statement since he does not know the ground reality”, while asserting that he has not interfered with the affairs of the NCP.
“What I have stated was that Jose Philip and Nilkanth had saved the Kamat government from the bid by the G-7 to dislodge the government. After I persuaded them, both Jose and Nilkanth left the G-7 along with then United Goans Democratic Party (UGDP) legislator Babush Monserrate”, he recalled, added that the government had survived after the trio rallied behind the Congress.
Alemao said that he has told the chief minister in no uncertain terms that he would go all out with Jose Philip and Nilkanth if they are dropped from the ministry and expressed his satisfaction that his stand has been supported by most of the ministers, including Monserrate and Babu Azgaonkar.
Without disclosing his plan of action in the event the duo are dropped from the ministry, Churchill said ‘Wait and watch. I will be with Jose and Nilkanth”. He demanded to know how a tainted man can be inducted into the ministry when the Congress leadership had told senior Congressmen Dayanand Narvekar to step down after a case was filed against him.
“What would I explain to my people if good persons such as Jose Philip and Nilkanth are dropped from the ministry? The Congress leadership should not take any decision that would leave the two ministers out of the cabinet”, Alemao said, and added that he has already communicated his stand to the chief minister, AICC General Secretary Hari Prasad and Ahmed Patel, political advisor to Congress President Sonia Gandhi.
Are Chorchill(GORNALLA) dropping of ministers from the cabinet is Chief Minister's prorogative. You call others tainted when it suits you. What are you a clean politician? My foot. You are the most tainted of them all. From where did you get all your riches? Is it not by robbing and being a gooda. People have not forgotten your smuggling activities as yet. You can only fool the Salcette people and get elected. I challenge you to contest from the North and get elected. So also anybody from your family.

Strangely Goa Legislature is now a new Church, Temple or Mosque for crooks.All Goans know this.
Churchill has several different trades too.
Ex-Chief Minister (14 days only), which he considers a major acheivement.
He is into Mining,he has been a Head of several political partys etc.He is Chairman of a Football club.He saved Konkani.I have never herad of someone saving a language...but I have heard it being "preserved".You certainly cannot take a Language and stuff it in a "BANK VAULT".
Under "Save Goa Party...which no longer exists , Churchill used this Party to continue his robbery of Goa.
EK-Goenkar is damned right...Churchill is only given respect in Benaulim...and that too because he buys it. If Churchill could not buy respect, he could be seen as a "REDO" or "ANNADI".Plain & simple.
Churchill is currently, on the last leg of his lifes journey.
I am very sure the day that he "passes" away, Goa will breathe a huge sigh of relief...and his family will lose some of its crooked charm.
churchill for all the titles he self obtains,will be remembered as a SMUGGLER PAR EXCELENCE...and a suspect MURDERER.
His Political acheivements will be considered as dirty and soiled KNICKERS, which Goans will eventually thrown out, into History`s dustbin.
why remove Jose Philip and Nilkanth ?????????remove CHURCHIL ALEMAO ........
