REPLY TO YOGESH MARATHE (GOA), DUBAI – By N. Fernandes –London

To Yogesh Marathe:::
There is quite a lot to digest from your reply/article/comment.
There is a also quite a lot of drivel and plain nonsense.
For the moment I just wish to correct a few of your views of Goans that went to Africa and other parts of India and elsewhere. These Goans were invited by the Portuguese & the British to fill-up jobs in their colonies. The Civil services was one such job amongst others. It was in no way due to persecution by the Portuguese /British. Goans going to these parts were not slaves.
The British and Portuguese in India had good relations and so many Goans were seen in Imperial India too, serving the British.
Today you are based in the Middle -East. If you reflect a little, you will understand that the Arabs required cheap Indian labour for their building projects, information technology expertise and middle management skills. The Indians (Goans included), are not there due to persecution...but due to lack of decent(living wage) paid jobs in India.
In the UK where I am based, Indian Doctors, nurses and IT experts are required to fill up job Vacancies due to shortages. These Indians travel of their own free will. They are no lesser Indians for doing so and they are no lesser concerned about the direction their "States" take back in India. They will eventually have to return back to India. However, they are limited to an extent and can express their views in forums such as this.
You yourself are commenting here about issues in Goa. It is a bit "Rich" coming from you and plainly stupid, for you to say” what is the purpose of the people commenting here", when you yourself are doing so. You are not "practicing what you are trying to preach" to us. How can you "Riot" in Goa while you are "rewarding" yourself in the Middle East?
I am sure; you will agree your own article is used to influence views. And that is exactly what others are doing too.
I have read articles in Goa newspapers "against" Liberation. So again, I am not sure which papers you have been reading or why you have chosen to turn a blind about it.
The issue of over migration of (ghattis / Ghantis) to Goa is a major concern to its people.
The term ghanti in my opinion is used to describe "a people" that are slightly uncivilized and uncultured. They do not fit or sit well into Goan Society / culture. Goans do not have an issue with Cultured Migrants.
However you will agree, uncontrolled migration brings along many issues i.e. additional Housing, hospitals, jobs, schools, sanitation, garbage etc. have to be found for them. So your "single incident" about the metal processing plant comparison is plain stupid. What about the other incidents all over Goa. As soon as you also include these incidents, you will see how big the issue is.
People in Goa have a right to be concerned about this issue. I am sure if these so called Ghantis all built a slum / shanti town around your beautiful house in Goa, you would be commenting differently.
I also think is unfair for you to suggest that Goans who live abroad are in some way not concerned about affairs in Goa. This is not a fact.
Your view that the ship NRP Sagres came with some sort of "motive". Please could you expand on this further? From what I have understood, the Ship was purely commemorating a historic Voyage and discovery of a sea and trade route to India via the Cape of Good Hope. This was made quite clear to the Indian Government who allowed its docking. The discovery of a sea route to India was a major feat…comparable to Man landing on the Moon.
The protest of the Fake FF`s suggest that they do not trust, their own Central Government.
The original arrival of the ship was purely for trade and not Colonisation..The colonisation took place at the invitation of the feuding Indians of that period.
The Ship also came in Goodwill. It was harbouring nothing else. It had no political agenda. It came in Friendship. Here again your own defence of the Freedom Fighters’ lacked true spirit. What did your Freedom Fighters, you defend achieve by their actions?.
You yourself have agreed that there are many Fake Freedom Fighters. What was their motive, may I ask you?
Another fact I wish to inform you about is that many other Great Maritime Nations, Spain, UK , France, Holland still commemorate great sea journeys /voyages. Unfortunately India was no great Maritime nation, neither was Goa.
Please also do not forget the cruelty &torture.
Carried by Indian soldiers, in, Goa, Kashmir and other northern Indian states seeking autonomy. Is this not some sort of suppression?. It was not just the Portuguese. Worse it is being carried out by India, in the modern civilised world.
Destruction of Bridges is done in all war situations. Do you remember the most recent being in Iraq. And do you also understand why it has been done?.
Indians committing acts against the Indian Republic are classed as criminals. It comes under Treason. That was no different during the Portuguese in Goa.
I hope I have allowed you to see a different perspective from you own entrenched one.
And finally please do not think that Goans and non Goans too, who live abroad are least concerned about Goa or have no right to comment or express a view about it. No one holds an exclusive right to these functions.

  1. Half of my life, I stayed outside Goa or India and that did not make me lesser Goan or Indian. And it's same with every other individual from Goa unless they are "gaddars" of the first order.

  2. A fitting reply to RSS Yogesh Marathe. People like you are a real shame to our Hindu religion. The Goans once lived in peace and harmony of every religion and the Portuguese never bothered us. But now the RSS, Bajrang Dal and VHS have started dividing the people in Goa. It is high time to do away with these three terrorist groups

  3. Ask the police where the Matka booths are, they will know the area very well and in which jurisdiction they fall.

  4. Dear Marathe

To summerize your main aim in writting the two articles of yours , I personaly feel you are forcing everyone in very polite way that the Indian Invasion of 1961 was justified on ethical & moral grounds and more so this Invasion transformed Goa into a more strong Economic state. My freiend, all Niz Goenkars tried to explain You that Goans would have been much better if this invasion need not happen for good. You are well aware of all this. Please accept reallities & the evil curses post 19/12/61.

  5. After the death of the Blonde she landed at the heavens gate, St. Pedro politely asked the Blond, you can choose between heaven and hell, the Blond without hesitating chose heaven, in heaven she had to Pray do social service and had to do some work, no ramba-samba. After a year or so she felt bored, she went to St. Pedro's office and asked for a transfer to hell, just for a week to seek how life is ofer there. St. Pedro called Lucifer up and asked if this was possible, only for a week.

Lucifer aggreed and the Blond was in Hell, to her surprise she saw a lot of ramba sambas, Bar's, all wearing colourfull clothings, dancing and no prayers, no work what so ever, no responsibilties and so forth. After a week she had to leave, when in heaven she applied for a permanent transfer, nothing doing hell it is, that's where she belongs.

But then she had to stay for a week and only then the transfer would be complete, for the Blond this one week was like a century, she couldn't wait till it's over.

The day came and the Blonde was at the Hells gate, when in hell she was surprised to see everything was the opposite, no Bars, none with colourfull clothes and so forth.

She asked Lucifer, you fooled me, to come to Hell.

Lucifer answered, you fool, in hell no body tells the truth, only crooks and criminal are placed over here. We had to fool you and thats the only way we could have you.

What I'd like to prove is, our Parents were fooled by the Congress party in giving them a better life, some of our parents even had offices in Bombay and Delhi to throw the portuguese away,

Little did they knew that the Indians were lying to them, they used them to get the portuguese out of Goa. only few at that time like Bandorkar profited, now more have joined his ranks to rob. Bandorkar was the one who laid the seed to destroy Goa. His staute along with Gandhis statue should be removed from Panjim and from old Goa, replaced with St. Francis Xavier and of Jack Sequiera.

To get Independance for Goa, can only be got by the Government of Goa, for that we have to win the Election without the congress, BJP, NCP and so on.

Thanks for the link, Pray that the love of Goans in and out of Goa to Goa be strong for eternity and thank you Niz G. for this oportunity.

True Goans (today are around 1 Million or so), let them be of any Cast, Religon or Creed, 70% of them have no idea what hit them, 90% of the Goans who lived from Childhood in Bombay are the most ignorent, that we are not indians, but were joined by force to the union without our choice and consent.

the hen or the egg? it is commonsense that one cannot get an nre a/c without being an nri.

your patriotism stinks, because if you were a true patriotic son of goa/india, you would love the water of your motherland, the air of your motherland, the beaty and soil of your motherland, you would not forsake it at anycost.

no matter how great the lure of dubai dirham,
you would resist it all cost, if you were patiotic. You would not mind even cutting the hair of respectable governor and see the PROGRESSIVE MUDER OF GOA,but you like to dream of progressive goa and pelt every niz goenkar who expreses his view, you club them totegher as a gang in your reply format which itself speaks volumes of your evil intention ,you let it happen the progressive muder of goa and now you are trying your best to murder the voice of niz goenkar in garb of a sheep, but jackallish in your comments
while you selfishly try to improve your financial situation being blind that you you are furthering the cause of the sheikdom where
sweat and toil,, for a Dirham more, why would you do that in non patriotic land.Pottak laghun ghantak ghella, voslo pozro tum patriot.

your patriotic country has to be a pauper not to support a patriot like you.Look at the ambhanis ask in in your conscience how low you can stoop with your patriotic values and get drunk for a dirham more, so that you abndon
your country ....your zeal for fast buck betrays how shallow your patriotic values are as shallow as the water of dubai that sorrounds you

your coments are coments of the coments of the comments, you have watered down your true values and you still talk like PROBRE FIDALGO,
better not translate that for you or you will need a cauldron of milk to dessacrate yourself
DAS BODACHEA KAPAL KARANTHEA , please do not call me sir, am patriotic son of goa too.
