VARCA: One Gregorio, a 28 year old man was run over by a car, which left him dead on the spot. Ligorio was crossing the road to go to his vehicle across the road when the incident occurred.
The car white in colour is the only description available so far drove away at a terrific speed that a few onlookers could not even note the registration number barring the colour of the car.
Valanka Alemao who happened to be in the nearby restaurant , rushed in to his aid though it was quite late as the car after hitting Ligorio went over his body and disappeared. Valanka herself personally put the man in her car and took him to the Hospicio Hospital where he was declared dead.
Colva police has registered a case against the unknown driver of the car and are investigating the case. PSI Satish Gawde is investigating the case under the supervision of PI Tushar Naik.
As much as I would like to commend VALANLKA for being a good samaritan,in this instance,I would like to stress this action would have been taken by Goan / anyone who had good sense and compassion.

Yesterday (X`mas day),I Telephoned my Relations in Goa to wish them a Happy Christmas and good tidings for the New Year.None of them were happy with the "Churchills" taking over parts of Goa.
More than the expensive "Onions" which made them cry, and settle for lesser Christmas savoury treats,...the Churchills agenda for Goa,made them "weep" in disgust.
