Of late there are so many debates on who the true freedom fighters are since its been more than 50 years of the forced occupation of Goa by Indian Union and doubts are expressed on the survival or true age of these people. Since freedom fighters registered with government authorities draw allowances/ pensions from the taxpayers, this taxpayers money contributed by Goans should not end up being misused. Native Goans need to reap the benefits of the taxes they pay.
Successive governments in Goa over the past 50 years have honoured and praised the contributions of the so called freedom fighters but since it becoming increasingly evident of some fake names, the government needs to come clean and publish the names and ages (DOB) of these freedom fighters since the native Goans should not be taken for a ride. This will also stop the fake ones from reaping benefits at the expense of the taxpayers. Failure to disclose this information should be dealt with seriously and alternative steps like using the RTI act should be considered.
Rupert Coutinho... they are not freedom fighters... they are freedom farters. They are selfish maggots and are no better than are illiterate-goonda politicains. They want everything for themselves and their children. They travel free on buses and trains and their children get free admission to professional colleges based on the quota system. They want more seats now to be reserved for their children in Goa Medical College and Goa Engineering College.

75% of the World is run through a democratic system. 72% of all these democratic institution are corrupt, there are many loopholes in it, where the Politicians take advantage of it. (Babush, Mickey, Kamat, churchill .... will agree with it.) no wonder wifes, and kins must also join.
I can tell you of Switzerland, it's the only country in the world which has a pure form of Democracy.
In all Democratic Countries citizens vote for a person belonging to a certain Party. The person voted in power uses the power for himself just like Goa, the state come later.
In switzerland, they too have the same system somewhat like Goa, but here the people not only vote for candidates but also take part in law making.
Fr e.g., if they want to join the European Union, the people vote, not the voted candidate.
If they want to increase taxes or so on, the people vote.
If they want to change a certain law, then they have to collect some amount of signatures, when they have enough signatures then they can put that law for vote, the citizens decide.
The same process was like the opinion pole in 1967 in GOA, unfotunately such process is not continued today, if yes we could have finished this mess with "FF"
We should have an opinion poll, where Goa should go it alone to compete in World Football, join FIFA as a member. Here too the Headquarters are in Zurich / Switzerland.
The so called FF (freedom fighters) if they think they have freed us from one hell!! Then they certainly transferred us into a bigger Hell hole with a bottomless pit. Where Rapes, murders, looting, corruption at the highest level and recreational drugs are freely available via some of Goa's MLAs. Some of these so called FF siblings have and are practising criminal activities such as killings for hire, molesting women, land grabbing etc,. It is time these cunning FF(fox Fuc-eras) are stopped from obtaining privileges via tax payers money.
