TOURIST ROBBED OF RS ONE LAKH BY PICK POCKETERS

PANJIM: While a suspected gang of pickpockets took home a booty of Rs one-lakh in cash, it made a domestic tourist, whose pocket was found torn, poorer by that amount in a crowded city bus on Wednesday evening.
The tourist Ramesh Tarachand Rawal of Mumbai was at loss for words to explain how the gang had ripped through his secure pocket. He told the police the incident occurred between the Panjim market, where he boarded the bus, and KTC bus stand.
The right pocket of the tourist’s trouser was cut skillfully by the members of the gang. Rawal said as per his conversation with the bus driver he suspected three guys to be behind the incident.  Sources said that the complainant had difficulty in filing a complaint with the Panjim police who refused to take the matter seriously. The complaint was however entertained only after one and half hour.
