19th DECEMBER TO MARK AS ROBBERY DAY by A. Veronica Fernandes, Kuwait

Indian Military actually landed on Goan soil on 18th December 1961. We saw them in their innumerable Jeeps and Tanks early in the morning on 18th December 1961 approximately at 5.30 AM going to Aguada. First time in my life I saw Sardarjis with their beard and turbans and I was so terrified that I thought what I was seeing were not normal human beings but someone from the other planet, so much I was frightened to see them.
I was young then doing my schooling in my village Portuguese school. During Portuguese time we were not accustomed to see such human beings having so different outlook as Sikhs. My one brother working for SESA Goa was stranded at Sircaim about whom we were very much worried while the other brother working for Goa Police was at home since he was a technical man at Panjim Headquarters and was not required for fighting the Bharati enemies. The distance between my house and the main Road was approximately 50 metres and next to the main road we had our paddy field. My father who had great admiration for Salazar and his strict laws in Goa was very sad to see Salazar’s rule in Goa is ending while my Goa Police employee brother was telling “now Goa will turn into a “Moula ani Chor Raj”. Very prophetic words. He made this remark because earlier he had been to Bombay where he witnessed how bad Indian rule was. Indians are not good rulers but good “Chors” and current “Chors” of Goa learnt this art from Indian “Chors”. Goa since December 19, 1961 was disgraced by the introduction of Bharati rules, tradition, culture and influx of non-Goans.
On the same day early in the morning while my father was going to check the flow of water in our paddy field, on the main road he was stopped by the Bharati Military Peronnel occupying the front Seat in the Military Tank. Since my father was wearing a white banyan, his fair body like that of Portuguese Paklo, attracted the attention of that Bharati Military man who thought my father was a Paklo too. He shouted at my father to stop there only. My father was afraid. To pacify that Indian Millitary man, my father immediately started to talk in Hindi. Then that Indian Military man stopped the convoy of Jeep and Tanks for few minutes to talk to my father. At home seeing from distance, we all were terrified mainly because of my father’s pro-Portuguese inclination. But my father did not show any leaning towardsPortugal and went on answering all the questions posed to him by the Indian Military man. It was about 10 minutes conversation between my father and Indian Military while proceeding to Aguada where the major portion of Portuguese Military personnel posted. The questions posed to my father were:
1. First Question: Who are you? Are you an Indian or Portuguese? My father replied: I am a Goan.
2. Second question: Where are you going so early? My father replied: Going to our paddy field.
3. Third question: Why are you wearing this poverty stricken Banyan? My father replied:
Because I am a poor man.
Then the Indian Military man said: Yes, we know the Portuguese Government has purposely kept you poor. Henceforth, you will not remain poor, your standard will be high under Bharati rule. Don’t worry, you will enjoy best of life in Goa under Indian rule.
4. Fourth question: What is the strength of Portuguese Military stationed at Aguada? How long it will take for our convoy to reach Aguada? And what about Chapora Fort? Is there any Military Portuguese posted there? Do you have any idea?
My father replied thus: There is nothing at Chapora. At Aguada around 200 Portuguese soldiers are stationed and it will take around 30 Minutes to reach Aguada from my place.
My poor father ignorant of Bharati Raj of “Chor” and cunning, out of happiness wrongly believing as Gospel Truth what Indian Military man told him, came home immediately even without checking the flow of water in our Paddy field, so much he was excited for the good days that will come on Goa. When he reached home, he was all smiling and in happy mood thinking of the better days to come on Goans especially poor Goans under Bharati rule. While going to our Paddy Field my father was saying Salazar Zindabad but while returning home he started saying Nehru Zindabad and Salazar Murdabad. Poor man my father!! He was fooled by Indian Military personnel. And who was he the Indian Military man? Where is he now? Alive or dead? God alone knows.
Tomorrow 19th December, Goa will be celebrating Liberation Day of Goa. What liberation? To hell with this liberation. It was NOT Liberation but it was a ROBBERY because on this day in 1961, Bharat Serkar of Nehru ROBBED MY BELOWED GOA and annexed it to his corrupt Bharat without taking into consideration our views. Goa was not Nehru's "Paiche Bens" to acquire it forcefully without our consent. A few Freedom Fighters were not the spokemen of Goa and Goans. Morarjee Desai was against using force to drive away Portuguese from Goa.
According to the landmark judgement delivered by India’s Apex Court, i.e. the Supreme Court, on 19th December 1961, Goa was NOT LIBERATED by Bharat but CONQUERED. One of the renowned Goans the then Principal of St. Joseph’s High School Arpora told the students in his class at Arpora that Goa was invaded by BHARAT and NOT Liberated while many others said on 19th December 1961 Goa as Goa was ROBBED by Bharat to destroy its genuine identity, this was what Nehru cunningly wanted. For some political reasons Nehru wanted to eradicate total identity of Goa. In view of this 19th December should be marked NOT AS LIBERATION DAY OF GOA BUT AS ROBBERY DAY OF GOA. All the genuine Goans who love Goa must oberve this day as the day of Robbery.
By all means Goa had to be liberated from Portugal but not the way it was done. Because of force used against Goa, the Non Violence doctrine preached by Bharat under Nehru was put into disgrace. World leaders accused India under Nehru for using violent method to drive away Portuguese from Goa. There was no need to use violence to exit Portuguese from Goa. Nehru was a crook. Without consulting Goans based in Goa he took unilateral action and when some world leaders accused Nehru for using force on Goa, Nehru was shocked and he took this shock very seriously leading to deteriorating of his health.
The rule of Bharat in Goa is a curse. Bharati administration in Goa is a shame. There is nothing good in Bharat and because it is so, all the top and low Bharatis are flooding in Goa making Goa as Ghantti Raj. The character of genuine Goan was destroyed by the Bharati Ghantti in Goa. Nobody trust a Bharati because he is selfish, crook, traitor and first class “Chor”. What is happening in Goa now is the result of forceful occupation of Goa by Nehru’s Congress. In order to lead a Maharjas Life, Congress stripped Maharajas of their doles and themselves turned into new Maharajas. In the name of Socialism they have amassed wealth by robbing poor citizens. In Goa every top Congressman is become a crorepoti by robbing the poor Goans. Goan Freedom Fighters are not interested in this robbery because they have already sold their sacrifices under Portuguese rule in Goa for Pensions and Tamrapatra. Their fights and imprisonment during Portuguese rule against Portuguese were purchased by the Government. For this reason they are keeping their silence over the rot that is going on in Goa now. Prof. James from Assonora, Bardez who himself suffered so much under Portuguese rule for being a genuine Freedom Fighter had no answer to this question when I met him a few years back.
Immediately following the takeover of Goa by Bharat, many of the Non Brahmin Hindus in my village were acting like Dadas, threatening Christians, firing crackers in front of the houses of Christians and Crosses and making rough statements against Christians and St. Francis Xavier as if Chritians were Pro-Portuguese and anti-Indians. Regretfully, all of them who were harassing Christians and talking against Christianity in my village died very miserably. I pity them and their families. They thought Bharati Raj means Hindu Raj for Hindus alone to rule over all others. They were ignorant because they equated India with Hindus. They did not know how the word India originated. They were communal in thoughts and deeds. Later on they all supported ZALACH PAIZE, i.e. Merger of Goa with Maharastra. They never realized the great contribution of Goan Chritians in fighting against Portuguese rule in Goa. To know more of the contribution of Goan Christians at regional and national levels they should read the latest book “PATRIOTISM IN ACTION” by Valmiki Faleiro.

  1. Yes Veronica, this is but sadly a BLACK DAY for Goa and Goans. All the Goans must observe this day as a Black day.

  2. Robbery, the daylight robbery by the 40 thieves and plunders of Goa. Kudos to you Mr. Veronica for such a beautiful article. Shame on us to be called liberated Goans. Shame! Shame!

Veronica, thanks for your patience and time to write such a long article.

  3. Mr. Veronica:: Its a shame that a person of your stature should write such an article. We should accept who we are today, lets not try to change history. You or me are not responsible for it. Instead of grumbling lets work for the betterment of Goa.

If have so much hatred against India, kindly cancel your Indian paasport. I hate people who talk like this and still have gone abroad using an Indian passport. Please feel free to take a Portuguese passport.

Your hatred is truly unwarranted. I would appreciate if you could talk on the current scenario in Goa rather than try to reverse history.

These sort of articles by people like A Veronica Fernandes, should be read by all future generations to give them a balanced perspective of the difference between Liberation and forced annexation.
These are first hand accounts & experiences and I hope more Goans of that period will narrate their stories.
Strangely the take-over of Goa was an unfair contest / match. The Portuguese army / navy was out-numbered by their Indian Army counter parts. There would have been at least 40 Indian Soldiers fighthing 1 Portuguese Soldier.
How can anyone call this a "fair war game" OR liberation.

    PORTUGUESE:
    3,995 Army
    200 Navy
    1 frigate
    3 patrol boats

    INDIA:
    45,000 infantry
    1 Light Aircraft Carrier
    2 Cruisers
    1 destroyer
    8 frigates
    4 Minesweepers
    20 Canberras
    6 Vampires
    6 Toofanis
    6 Hunters
    4 Mysteres
    Above forces strength from WIKIPEDIA:
Nehru was alleged to be having an affair with the wife of the Viceroy Lord Mountbatten.
Was this take over of Goa a method to demonstrate his "MANHOOD".
Today the countries like Ceylon (Sri Lanka) ,Russia and Liberia, that supported India at the United Nations have all been going through a lot of turmoil and upheavals. The y are as corrupt as India

On the other hand Countries like the UK, USA,China (neutral),Turkey, Canada,Portugal, that supported the Portuguese stand at the United Nations, are very successful democracies and their citizens all live with a very high standard of living and civilization.
But for the so called Liberation or robbery, Goa too would have been a very successful Democracy, highly civiized and prosperous.
Today amongst other Indian states and by their measurements, Goa is regraded as state with the highest literacy levels,Has a high GDP (gross domestic product),has a low level of poverty etc.
It outshines, a lot of other Indian states on all fronts and measurements.
This acheivement is not due to the 40 Rogues in the Legislature and the other bunch in New Delhi, but due to the efforts, sweat and blood of Goans themselves.
Long Live GOA AND MAY YOU BE GIVEN A SPECIAL STATUS.
GOANS DO NOT NEED INDIA-INDIA NEEDS GOA.

  5. There is nothing to Celebrate on 19th december. Like Shyam Sawant said its a BLACK DAY and all Goans should boycott any celebrations. Can anybody celebrate their bondage? Soon we will be like East Indians in Bombay. Difficult to find any Goans in Goa. LET GOA BE FOR GOANS ONLY.

I will disagree with James d`silva`s views.
As usual James has a tendency to make comments without any deep or corroborated thought.
Firstly there is absolutely no harm whatsoever caused to anyone, from the article / comment of A.Veronica.It will not be giving anyone sleepless nights.
It will certainly not kill any one.Instead it will allow others to see his viewpoint and get an broader understanding of his views .
We all accept who we are today.Nobody is trying to change history.History in this instance is being used as a benchmark to measure and determine our future path.
The question James needs to ask himself is whether history has been fair & progressive, in this instance.
Has the period of history from 1961 to the present day, been good for Goa.
This is what many of us are asking / questioning and trying to determine.
The Passport theory too is plainly crazy.
This again leads me to believe that James D`silva has, a loathing and hatred of Goans living abroad and holding foreign passports. He has proved this, time and again.
Reading some of James`s articles / comments, it seems like he has property issues with his relatives that live abroad demanding their rights in Goa.
I doubt James even has the knowledge of Dual Nationality, either.
That has been the nucleus, of all his anti- Goan Abroad, comments.
Any Goan that has a foreign passport, in James`s view or James`s world, should not be allowed free speech or allowed to make comments. It it reserved exclusively for Goans in Goa.How shortsighted can one get?

I am not the only one that questions James`s motives. It has been questioned by others that read / comment here.
I am sure others will agree when I say the James should not read any books by Foreign Authors unless they hold an Indian passport and live in India.
It does not mean that if A. Veronica`s job or vocation takes him elswhere, he has no right to comment as a Goan and spell out his vision and feelings on the subject.
I am also sure A Veronica in time or in due course, will express his views on the current scenario in Goa.
If James had a little more wisdom , he would understand that the article A. Veronica has written is "IMPLICIT" in his views of the current scenario.
So James...what A Veronica is saying is that the course of history, Goa got embroiled in is not proving good or beneficial for Goa.
so James if you enjoy being un-neccessarily controversial to get noticed...you have come to the right place.
Many here know how to seperate "wheat from the chaff"

  7. As usual, James D'Silva is out to trash us Goans holding the Portuguese or British or American Nationality. This is a bad attitute he has got. If we are holding foreign nationalities and that country's passport does not mean we are not Goans. The reason why we opted for Portuguese or other nationalities, is because Goans can never be Indians. India might have captured by force Goa the land but it has not captured the Goans who always consider as either as free or as Portuguese citizens and we are ruled by clean and good non corrupt government unlike the Indian thieves and corrupt ministers

  8. An act is morally right or wrong.
Thou shall not steal, is the 8th commandment.
It is a human birthright not to stripped of ones
freedom to choose between right and wrong.Did not goa have a natural birthright to choose its own
destiny? Can somebody come and just rob your freedom to choose because they think they are doing a favour to you, in all goodness.still then
your right to choose between good and bad is robbed

  9. I am sure the church teaches moral theology to the priests in formation, but it never gets taught
when teaching the ten commandment to children in their parishes. They are too busy blessing cars, houses etc.
James its not your fault, for you do not know what is
the meaning of THOU SHALL NOT ROB, for they did not teach you the morals, please do not take any offence, because morality defines what a good deed is and which one is not.

    ReplyDelete
  10. Thou shall not commit adultery.
James have you heard of that in your cathechism
classes. Goa is rampamt of such incidents,I do not have to tell you of that.
Did you voice your your opinion on it?
are you willing to condemn it?
or be a silent witness of it?
God help you when you condemn only whom you choose to condemn selectively....God bless you,
    you walk the narrow way.

    ReplyDelete
  11. Now tell me can the church rob the natural rights
of children in vaxim born of blessed wedlock?
they are minors if allowed to blossom they will be full blown vanximcars ready to exercise their voting rights? their priviledges are nipped in the bud, because the church has no funds for upkeep of their old buildings? is that justified?
THEY can afford to have tea or coffee, cheese or butter, milk, poridge in their breakfast.
soup, bread, meat dish, fish fried and curried and rice a
three course meal in the afternoon.
good supper, or a buffet at night.Eat three mangoes one in the name of God the father, one in the name of God the son,and one in the name of God the Holy spirit, but for righteousness and
justice to the niz goenkars fate they have no energy.

  12. What's so good about this day, don't you realize that it has been and will always remain the same and no one can change the course of history. Those were the times that our parents experienced peace and tranquility under the Portuguese regime and we have been raised to live by those norms. We can never get the times that were lost before the Indian forces robbed Goa and our freedom, our wealth and our culture. Let's strive to fight these Indian migrants forced upon us and the Goan thieves ruling Goa for the betterment of Goa.

They say history repeats by itself but will it ever for Goa and the Goans - Never. Such mentality against a democracy can brighten the prospects of a communist nation.

  14. @ James D' Silva speaks of his own venom. I would like to ask James if he ever tried to change the mindset of the Crumb eaters or does he want to tell us that we should not try to change but live with what we are fed? The only betterment of Goa you can think at this juncture is to change the current mindset of Crumb eaters because of whom we have lost ourselves to the politicians who loot Goa in broad day light.

  15. James D'silva,Our present generation as well future should know how Indian dogs robbed and destroy Goa.Isn't that forcefully invading of Goa laid foundation for present situation? Today Goa cry for its survival due to wicked & evil nature of its own sons who learned from Indian how to rob and loot their own motherland. The fact is Goans are Goan first and then Indian.

  17. As for you Mr. James… When one is fully informative about the past, then only we will be in a comfortable position to decide or comment on our present or further.
I had also read your comment where you were referring to your non-goan friends. These non-goans are our friends, guests, etc, etc, all agreed. Provided they should behave like one. You cannot expect a guest to stay in your house life long or do you??

Instead of criticizing others come out with a solution for these problems. As we’ll all agree, we are all on this platform for one common reason, TO SAVE OUR MOTHERLAND GOA. M I right, or you still have other opinion?

    Hi Nyah,

    Welcome to NG.
Goans all over the world now have a new instrument of communication...The Internet.
I appreciate not everyone in Goa itself, has this previlege of access to the internet.
But you can be sure Niz_Goenkar is like the WIKILEAKS of Goa.
Many Goans are now becoming more aware of the Truth.
In the past we only could do so, reading Newspapers which are patronised by Politicians. Books or through word of mouth.Goan history books are geared and manipulated to Indianise facts.
This is why I think a Commentator here (James D`silva) fails to understand that many Goans did not have facts and stories before them to make judgements. With the Internet we are now learning much more and with hope it will allow us to plan the future.
WE all want wish to move into the the future by correcting what led to the present.
James also forgets that history is ever changing .

  20. I'm proud to be a Goan too, no doubt about it. Its just that we should think about reality. We keep on harping about Portugal, look at Portugal now, its deep in debt and will be the next casualty after Ireland to say its bankrupt. Portugal doesn't have enough money to feed its own people, forget feeding us.

Lets think "REAL" people. Talking about history doesn't solve the problem. Talk about today, how each one of us can save our Goa rather than painting a rosy picture about Goa had we been independent or still under the Portuguese. Some people out here on this blog have a real sense of imagination that they really live in an imaginary fairy tale world.

Do away with the present bunch of politicians and we could see some change. How do we do it ? By venting our anger on this blog ? or by living in an imanginary Portuguese world ? or come out on the streets and hang these Chorchills & Mickeys from the electric poles ?

    You guys decide....

    ReplyDelete
  21. @ James silva, we agree to you. Forget the Portuguese, at least can we fight for our independence from Indian rule or no? Why are you not talking in this direction? Are you afraid of your Indian Masters?

  24. I was once asked by the indian customs long time ago, what nationality do I hold, the only reason is because I was standing in a line for foreiners visiting India.
I answered my dear James, if you realy are a Goan or a Bingtekar, Gahati or a Karnataka guy who has changed his name to Latin name to camouflage in Goan Culture, I asked him.

    {Are you interested in the blood that's flowing in my veins or is it that paper that's in my pocket?}

With out saying a word this custom officer left me in peace. This happened in the start of the 90's.

History of Goa is tortured, I do believe it's a crime of the highest nature, every corrupt government does that, Iran does it too, they say Hollocust never took place. like the Goan Government says it was not an Invasion it was a Liberation, and I'm surprised they teach this in Goan Univeristies, by the way do Goa University have a digital search engine programm or they can only search what's good for the Government of Goa, China does it with Google.

To James d`silva::::You seem to stoop so low, that you believe that Goans want Portugal to still rule us.
That is not correct.Goans have seen the plunder and loot of the last 50 years of Liberation and are now asking or hoping to get Special status.
This will allow us Goans to determine what is best for us.
I do not see the relevance of Portugal being in debt, and Goa`s (our)need to be considered a unique state.
By the way it is not just Portugal that has debt problems.Portugal is also part of the Eurpean Union.
Euro for Euro or Rupee for Rupee...the Portuguese are better fed than the majority of Indians. The level of poverty in India is far greater than the poverty in Portugal.Life in India is cheap. There is still bondage and slavery in India.
Talking about History, allows us, to correct the wrongs. So once again I am not sure how you expect it to be completely forgotten. The present day and its "realities" are the evolution of the past. The present reality emerged and came from the Liberation of the past.
People comenting here are most definitely concerned about the current realities. So I am not sure what is your version or interpretation of reality. This is the point from where many Goans wish to move forward. But to do so , they need the background ...and that is what is considered HISTORY.You may have heard the phrase "FROM A POINT OF HISTORY"
I am sure you are a Proud Goan. But with your pride, you have a bizzare NEGATIVE & APPEASING attitude.
You have frequently indicated or implied only a Goan in Goa can solve problems.Have you ever heard the word "SOLIDARITY"?.
Many facets of Portuguese rule were good and this is what Goans would like back in Modern day Goa.
You are also being sarcastic or plain silly /stupid when you say "By venting our anger on this blog ? ".
or "or by living in an imanginary Portuguese world ".
So to increase your level of education...this blog is a tool to share ideas, find commonality, and spread the message about the current sad state of affairs in Goa, and to bring about change.I am not sure yet, if you are digesting or even comprehending any of it.
Secondly Goans are not living in an "Imaginary Portuguese world".Goans are much wiser today. We are hoping some of the Portuguese "Values" are used in our development.Perhaps you can tell us about good Indian values.Lets start with corruption.Indians themselves find corruption abhorrent.
Finally you can rest assured Goans will come out someday to ged rid of Churchill & Mickky using civilised & democratic values.
We will not be hanging them from electric poles...as wonderful and desirable as it might seem to you.
We Goans are not barbarians or savages.
If you are seeking for instant cure and remedy to Goa`s ill`s...you have come to the wrong Blog.
You might want to check out a "criminal " blogsite. They speak and commit deeds with knives & guns.

  30. @ Jai hind Jai Bharat or even Hanuman Jai

You have the right to say what you want and how you want, by saying what you want you are showing your true colour, either you are a Bingtekar, bangi or a gahti

Many Chors have arrived in Goa after the illegal invasion, made money, paid congress, bjp and other crooked politicians to make a ration card, which allowed them to vote either for BJP or Congress, if you feel this is not true then ask Zuarkar, Babush, Pratapsing, Mickky, Churchill br's, parrikar and the list will continue, or you can ask the Election Commissionar where the Electrotes were born or from where do they come.

If you tell the Muslims, you are a good muslim but forget Mohammed, they may kill you and if the one becomes a marter, we'll be left with lest virgins in heaven, the same you tell the Hindus, you are a good Hindu, but you should not believe in shiva, ganpathi and so on, he will only laugh at you but will not kill you for that, the same goes with the catholics, you tell them you are a good catholic but you should not believe in Jesus and Mary, no one will kill you they will say " Dev thuka poitholo" 'i.e God will be your judge.

Why I did say this, Idiot Jai what ever.

You can't tell us Goans to forget Portugal, we're the product of Portugal, Portugal gave us love, education, Respect and self esteem, a non Goan will not see that as he has always got no proper education, (unless for some who had the oportunity to study at some missionary schools runs by priest and nun, priest and nuns are all catholics)

India did not make Goa, Goa didn't exit when Portugal came to the sub-continent of India, they Portugal made Goa, India got it ready made, I can't say India made Goa, but I can say India destroyed Goa, you can only see it if you are a true Goan, not a ration card holder in Goa.

One day Goa will get her Independance, may be these 50 years are a punishment for us, we didn't see how portugal loved us, they gave us every thing and we stupid Goans dumped them.

By the way, we still have the doors open to us, they still give us portuguses nationalities.

I'm proud to say that I'm a Goan with Portuguese heritage, I can't say that for Indian Heritage.

  31. @James, you think living in Goa, you're better qualified to judge other Goans living/working abroad. You are aware but you could not do much about it, so you come on this blog. As said before by Mr. N. Fernandes, Bebdo, Veronica, Dalia & others, being outside Goa really opened our eyes to the bad situation in Goa, it's our love for Goa & the state of filth it's in got us concerned so much that this blog started by Mr. Menino is become so popular now with Niz Goenkars. What we read here is not taught in our history books, only what the Indian government wants us to know. Please understand that in our common cause to achieve our goals we need each others support, in fighting will deviate us from the true objective...a political change in Goa which will benefit all true Goans, not just the ruling politicians.
@Jai hind jai bharat...how the hell did you get here? No guts to use your real name? This is a place for Niz Goenkars, we are True Goans first, then Indians. Veronica & others are doing Goans a great service, giving us a correct view of the events. We want the justice, peace & equality prevailing at the time of Portuguese rule. For your patriotism, you’d do better to join the Indian armed forces, start looting & move outside of Goa. Goa is a small state & a lot of Goan land is used by Indian agencies, be it the Navy, ONGC, Military, etc which again is full of non goans.
Sir Menino, a Big THANK YOU, your movement is gaining ground. The articles from most authors are truly enlightening, appreciated.
    @ Shyam Sawant…congratulations…..you’re brave.
Viva Goa, Goa for Goans only

  32. Thank you Veronica in the guts you have in putting Pen to paper and bringing us a great true article. James D'Silva may be a chamcha of our corrupt politicians or a non-Goan wanting to be a Goan with false papers. There are many Ghantis in Europe that have Portuguese passport obtained with false documents from Goa. A few have been arrested and charged, after serving jail term deported to India. Any true blooded Goan that has an Indian passport and is abroad do not have false papers. Goans are in need of a true liberation from the corrupt Indian political bondage we are in.

  33. Mr James & Jai hind, jai bharat

Both of you I guess are the so called freedom fighters. Your pensions are secured & increased also. enjoy ... I suppose you are working abroad , so double income & no tax.

So you both agree with me that Nehru was Romancing an affair from 1947 to 1961.

Are you both a product of his Illigitimacy ?

Why India Didn't annex or Rule East Pakistan ?
They never bothered about Goa, Likewise they should have left us at least like Bangladesh.

  34. Dear Nisha, thank you very much for your faith and trust in me. I do have a wonderful team too who are very good at getting the right facts. They dig out and get the facts which is a very great help for me and I call them the SEVEN PILLARS of NIZ GOENKAR including myself - Menino de Valpoi

  35. @ N.Fernandes-London:: You only know to criticise people who share a different perspective. As I said before, I can understand its freezing in London, take a break ol' chap, sit in front of the fireplace with a bottle of ale to warm up your frozen narrow one sided brain.

Listen, incase you don't know, a good discussion always needs the views of everyone involved whether you like it or not. Thats known as a good and open discussion. By asserting that only your views count, is wrong, there are others fighting for the same cause but who have a different view of things, aware of the "ground" reality rather than people like you who exist only in cyberworld.

@ Buyarantlo Monis:: This blog is not about questioning commentators about being "products of illigitimacy", you have come to the wrong place for that. If you don't know to talk about the discussion thats going on and you just want to vent your feelings go somewhere else. There are some decent Goans around here who may have a different view of things and they would like to be heard. You are being very narrow minded in your thinking and looks like you yourself are a product of illegitimacy.

@ diogofichardo:: I don't need to prove to you my Goan roots. Neither am I "a chamcha of our corrupt politicians or a non-Goan wanting to be a Goan with false papers." If I was a chamcha why should I want to hang these politicians ??? You are another loudmouth who doesn't know what to talk.

@ Anthony Gr:: I'm not against Goans abroad, its the work of Fernandes to project me like that. In fact when half of my family are abroad in Canada, UK & Portugal why should I be against them ? Please, I'm here to project a different view from the old timers who are still crying over spilt milk and who are not interested in doing anything concrete other than yap their brains out.

@ TARIAMAMA:: Why I'm talking about Portugal is because the topic is about Portugal. You are another one of those stupid loudmouths who eject prematurely without reading or understanding what other people are trying to say or are afraid of reading another opinion or view.

@ Josie Carvalho & Lily Gracias:: If you want to start an independence movement, please go ahead, do something and then talk. Another bunch of "Alices in Wonderland" !!!

  36. @ James D'Silva I may be a loud mouth as you say, At least this loud mouth stood shoulder to shoulder with Dr Jack De Sequera and shed personal blood during the opinion poll. The current political crises concerns me too, that is why I am part of Niz Goenkar. Hopefully Goans will unite to make that change. God Bless Goa and Goans in it.

    To James D`silva.:::
The fact, that you have had to reply or respond to several people, speaks volumes about your views and intergrity.
I am not sure what the Freezing weather has got to do with my comments. Is this the best reason you can muster to defend yourself? Are my views different when the weather is hot?
I do not require Ale to comment either...a hot cup of Coffee or Tea will suffice.
I have never forced my my views on anyone and will gladly accept corrections. However I will not accept your views or comments that are based on- "only Goans in Goa have a right to comment". You have again stated that my views are based on my existence, in some foreign place, and in your silly little mind, you call it "CYBERWORLD".
But just for you...I do come and spend time in Goa, as often as I can, in my "Flying Saucer".
This is purely your perception and your own interpretation when you feel cornered like a badly injured mouse, whose ego has been turned upside down.
If you keep suggesting the world is "FLAT" and not "ROUND", please do not expect any commentator here of sound mind to give you a "KISS" on both cheeks.Instead you will receive the "Flat" side of someones hand( a good slap).
I do not think that most of the commentators here are fighting for the same cause as you.
You are fighting for your own cause and it is but a simple one....you have a hatred for Goans that live and work abroad and all because your relatives abroad, are after a share of their rights to their property back in Goa.
From the way you write and some of your words, I detect an amount of deception and fakery. For sure, you have at sometime been in the UK.I am also not entirely sure, that you live in Goa
Whichever way, you do seem a little weird & abnormal.
I am sure the other people you have commented on will reply to you in due course.
But before they do so, I would recomend you take your views & comments to the laundry or dry cleaners.

  38. @james d'silva, it is very funny to observe that you have your relatives abroad in canada, usa etc and yet you emit poison against those Goans who are working abroad. You are telling others to start the movement for independence. Why don't you start the same movement since you are on ground Goa back at home or is it that you only know to criticize people who talk truth. I find you very awkward. We do need our old freedom and our identity and there is no way the Occupying Indians are going to give it to us.

  39. @James, I hope you will open your eyes after so many polite knocks on your head to wake up and see the reality. This is a debate and your views are welcome but please see the reality and the sentiments of the majority. Majority counts.

  40. N. Fernandes should know that the monkey in You is always proud of his red arse. You living on the sidewalks of London will not see another sleeping in a cardboard box next to you. Talking about racism, UK is one hell of a racist country where everyone brown is consisdered and Indian DOG. Your talk is all trash and beggarly.

  41. @ Dalia & Annie:: Don't be spokespersons for N. Fernandes. I accept frank and sincere views rather than whispers from puppets like you both.

    To Johnads,
I am surprised how much you know about me ..and moreover about everything else about me.
Since you follow me everywhere ,even knowing my whereabouts, I would like to welcome you to the "N Fernandes FAN CLUB".Thanks for your support, even though it is critical sometimes.
We all have to live with critisisms everyday.
Have you ever heard of casteism or untouchables or harijans in India?Perhaps not.I am quite sure it does not exist for you.Does it? Itis British "propoganda", isnt it?
Your research into "Brown Indian Dogs" is truly remarkable.I didn`t know your researched about Canines also.wilkl you be commenting on the Stray ones in Goa?
Do you still have any more "Bile " left to vomit? .Your buddy James D`sliva has plenty and for everybody too.
I am still working out whether you 2 "real Goan boys and pundits belong to "SANITY,"SANITATION" or a "SANCTUARY".

    To James D`silva:::
I am quite sure you belong to a better place.I am very happy and content for you.It is being talked about rather a lot.
I am very proud of my cardboard box in Swindon.
It is my "Home sweet home" and my own castle.
Are you now getting jealous of this too?
How much more sadder and pathetic can you get?
WE ALL UNDERSTAND THAT THE WORD SHAMELESS DOES NOT MEAN MUCH TO YOU.LACK OF EDUCATION,ISN`T IT?

  47. @ dlp:: Boss, I have nothing to do with you. My conversations are with Mr. Fernandes, etc. Pls do not interfere when people are having a frank discussion. This is not the place for idiots like you who don't have anything to comment on the topic of discussion but are out there to call people names.

Moderator: Pls don't post comments which are unrelated to the topic of discussion. Thanks

  48. To James and John, you two are proud be 'indianised'...Kudos to you two! You both remind me of two people so brainwashed that they live in dark forest unable to see the light of day. Yes, we were fortunate to have escaped, but now we can look down into the whole forest and we see the filth, the garbage, the corrupt and dirty, filth system called 'democracy' that have the poor people so dependant on bread crumbs from the rouges and looters of Goa, that they have no choice, they have to choose to live and re-elect the rouges and looters into office again and again. This is the dirty filthy indian democracy. We the Goans are systematically being kicked out of our homeland. I tried to return and tried to obtain a job with all my degrees and experience, to help contribute to my homeland, little did I know my CVs were thrown into the dustbin when they saw my Goan-Portuguese name. You all forget, that even though we left Goa runs though our blood. The very fact we keep up with news of Goa on this blog is because of the love for our homeland. Every Goan abroad has an intense love for Goa, please don't assume otherwise. I don't know why you two are so proud of this so-called 'liberation'. It won't be long before the Goans are either all kicked out or a minority with no voice in their own land. You two will also be kicked out, I wonder if you all we have this flowery language for the system then. Look at all leaders in Goa....all Chors...and you two are still proud of this democracy? The indian system is corrupt to the core, the PM should stop pretending to the world that we have a democracy in India. I guess I will see you two jumping in the streets for the Golden Jubilee! Have fun with all your Indian migrants!
