RAVI NAIK TELLS POLICE NOT TO SUCCUMB TO POLITICAL PRESSURE

PANJIM: Home Minister Ravi Naik has asked the Goa police not to succumb to political pressures, which are aiming at demoralizing the force. Addressing police officers after inaugurating a new barrack for Goa Reserve Police (GRP) at Altinho today, Naik said that some people accused police officers in the State Legislative Assembly to demoralize them.
“Some people made unnecessary statements against the police department to demoralize the force. There is intense political interference in the department but the officers should ward off such influences,” he said.
The Home Minister alleged that when police officers don’t succumb to political pressures, there are further attempts to demoralize them. Naik was referring to the Assembly Session in August which had to be adjourned four times after the opposition demanded inquiry into the police-politician-drug mafia nexus.
“There are some people who are frustrated because the police have finished drug trade in the coastal belt. These allegations are only because supporters of drug trade cannot function with strict police vigilance,” he said.
Naik inaugurated the GRP barrack facility for the police personnel that would solve the issue of night accommodation for the policemen on duty. The premise with a multipurpose hall accommodates 28 beds and respective cupboards. It covers an area of 11.24 sq mtrs costing a total amount of Rs 1.27 crores.
The minister said that Government should provide appropriate financial assistance to the police department as they play a major role in the governance and maintaining law and order.
“Goa Government should take better care of Goa police. The department has managed to solve maximum cases by adopting non-tolerant attitude towards criminals,” he lauded the police in his inaugural speech. Chief Minister Digambar Kamat recently announced financial assistance Rs one crore to Police Welfare Society on Goa’s Liberation Day.
Some public say that, Ravi Naik asks the police not to succumb to political pressures when he himself pressures the police to satisfy his whims. The case of Police Drug nexus says for itself. Another example is the transfer of PI Anthony Monserrate to Siolim Coastal Police station at the instance of Ravi Naik himself. Public has been grumbling about how the home minister himself pressures the police.

  1. Ravi Naik the Assh..le himself interferes and pressures the Policeman except his pet and puppet chandrakant salgaonkar who is Pilot Ravi naik's big chomcho. One example of Mr. Monserrate being transfered from Valpoi to Panaji traffic cell and from there to Siolim coastal security police station by Pilot Ravi Naik alias Matka bookie has well been mentioned in an article here on this site on Inspector Monserrate written by Mr. Menino de Valpoi shows the true colours of Ravi and now he dares blurt out this hypocricy

  2. Look Who is Talking? This is the same Ravi Naik who has turned the Drug Nexus case to near death. Honest Police are being transferred or demoted by the same person. Why is he preaching the sermon to others when he himself does not practice? It is time these politicians are kicked out of power.

So he is happy do declare all such foolish statements proving that a MOTORCYCLE PILOT alias MATKA BOOKIE can never be a minister - Imagine him 5 class fail
