FOUR GIRLS RESCUED FROM SEX RACKET AT DONA PAULA

PANJIM: Panjim town police informed that they have on Saturday arrested two persons in connection with a sex racket and rescued four girls while they were at a spot in Dona Paula. A decoy customer was sent to bust the racket.
The four girls, three from Nepal and one from Mumbai, who were forced into prostitution, have been sent to the protective home at Merces, said the police, adding Nandisha alias Devraj Gaude from Bangalore and Hanumant Ram Patel alias Raj from Rajasthan have been booked under Sections 3, 4, 5 and 6 of the Immoral Traffic (protection) Act and Section 8 of Goa Children’s Act.
The duo have been remanded to one-day police custody for further investigation, the police said.  The four girls, rescued under ITP Act, 1956 and 120 (B) of Indian Penal Code (IPC), were subjected to medical examination in Goa Medical College hospital, Bambolim.
