PANJIM: The '10-rupee' gang has struck again in the city. Shyam Naik, 38, on Thursday complained to the Panjim police that an unidentified person took away his bag containing electronic items worth 18,500 and some important documents.
Elaborating on the incident, Naik said that he had parked his car outside the Urban Co-operative Bank in the city and was sitting in the car, waiting for his nephew who had gone in the bank. Suddenly, a person approached him and told him in Hindi that his 10 note had fallen on the road on the rear side of the car.
Believing that the note belonged to his nephew, he got down from the car to collect the money. When he picked up the 10 note lying on the road and was about to thank the person who told him about the money, he saw the man escaping with his bag containing electronic items and important documents.
