A LESSON TO BE LEARNT FROM CIPRIANO CASE - Received by email

We keep blaming politicians for the mess around us. I hear people say there is no future in Goa and that we are all doomed. A recent example is the tragic case of the late Cypriano, a victim of alleged police brutality. While most of us sympathize with his family, sadly, we have no one but ourselves to blame.
The present generation of native Goenkars is bearing the brunt of the mistakes made by a majority of Goans who have been part and parcel of the game to destroy Goa and its future generations and identities, either directly or indirectly, by electing the corrupt and supporting corruption. Hence, we are now witnessing an alarming rise in cases of drug-politician-police nexus, rapes, murders, an increase in the number of migrants, thefts, accidents, unnatural deaths, harassment, unemployment and major land-grabbing scams.
This is the very reason why every Goan, today, has blood on his/her hands. We are responsible for the harassment or death of innocent locals, whether it is the case of Cypriano, traffic-related accidents, or even cases of medical negligence.
We are known for being 'susegad', and when it comes to defending our rights, we haven't done enough to stem the rot. We have spoken, but failed to match our words with actions. We wait for others to take the lead in the fight against illegalities instead of being the torchbearers of change in every little way we can. We are cowards and scared to fight for our rights. We have been fooled by our own politicians, been taken for a ride, and most of all, we have failed to show our courage of conviction and privilege to live in dignity and respect.
Weighing our silence and contribution to the chaos of present times, where do we stand in dignity and ethics when it comes to valuing life and doing away with corruption and preserving our identity for our future generations to come? What is the respect we command when we have blood on our hands? If we truly have a conscience, then are we not responsible in some way or the other for these deaths and crimes against humanity? Have we not been a part of terrorizing and intimidating our innocent native Goan people at the hands of corrupt politicians whom we keep electing year after year? Are we not partly responsible for the poverty and unemployment of our Goan brethren by having allowed our favored political class to create a migrant vote bank and give them jobs and privileges in terms of free water and electricity at the cost of taxpayers? Have we not deprived our innocent toddlers and kids of pure milk and clean water which are diverted to other sources through scams in the public works department (PWD)?
I have no doubt that our silence and failure to reason out and act in good faith (during elections) and ethics (in dealing with government servants, mamlatdars, talathis, PWD, municipalities and panchayats) is going to destroy Goa's future further. Our ego and pride has taken centre stage, and instead of fighting a combined battle for Goa, we are putting up a disunited front because of our selfish motives of occupying an important status and post in various organizations.
Had we drawn some serious lessons and learnt from the abolishment of the Apartheid regime in South Africa by great activists like Nelson Mandela, the ejection of Taliban monsters from Afghanistan, and the self-immolation sacrifice of an unemployed youth which resulted in the doing away of the aggressive and draconian leadership in Tunisia, would we again say "Tem Kiem Zaovpachem Nam''. Having said that, I am proud and not only salute, but also commend my few conscious native Goans who are acting in good faith to save Goa and will hand over the legacy of this rich Goan identity which we have inherited from the past to our future generations to come.

Rightfully said we Goans are our own worst enemies. It is only a few Goans voicing themselves for the right cause. We have many Goancrumb eaters that are part and parcel of the migrant vote banks that elect the same corrupt politicians to power. But do we have any educated leaders to lead Goans forward to a better Goa?

Shubash I agree with you we do have many crumb eaters around us. But also we have many who love the susagad life. Having travelled around Goa during the day time one can see groups young Goan youth on motor bikes hanging around the same location almost every day. Either these youngsters are spoilt by their parents or they are just lazing around.
The migrants have taken full advantage of this situation and have become rich, very soon they will be our masters. These Goan youngsters could make a great change which Goa needs by just being constructive.

  3. This is not the first time something like that has been written. It is well known that our 'Crab Mentality' and our 'Sugussegad-ponn' are largely responsible for the pathetic state f our land and our identity. The real question is what to do next ? There is an urgent need for us who are more senstive to what is happening around us to chalk out a solid plan to deal with the situation. This cannot be achieved only by writing. Like minded people need to get together to work this out and come out with a plan. Niz Goenkars need to meet. Just blogging is not going to get us anywhere. There has to be an organised movement. May I request the Niz Goenkar leadership to advise on this subject.

Prudence, diligence and wisdom unlike hair growth and sexual urge does not come by itself as one grows up. These are virtues of civilised world which have to be imbibed in growing children by family and teachers. Most of the Goan parents themselves are illiterates and have a mentality like the politician with absolutely no responsibility; as the famous Goan saying: "Burgim zaiet, burgim haiet" They cannot see beyond today, they do not care to guide their own children for a future. HOW will they think of GOA's future??

CIPRIANO CASE must be kept alive, sooner this case goes quiet there will be more deaths in custody sanctioned by the Politicians and Police. South Goa's crumbeaters need to open their eyes and vote the right persons in the next elections.Or drown themselves in KhariaBandh.

Goswami I think you are out of your senses. We have been destroyed by the likes of you and we do not have any place for us and as such it is high time that we consider ourselves as Goans and not Indians. We do not need any of your advice. The migrants are not our brothers as they come here to rape us and loot us of our rights.

Goswami and his ghantis have fooled us into being liberated, Indians tried to fool Goans from the red pan eating spit, saying they spilt their blood for us. Under the cover of Goan crumb eaters these Indians have destroyed Goa.

India can never be a superpower do not get pampered by that idea, just because the Americans or the Europeans are pampering do not get fooled. I agree India is super powerful in corruption and lootmari. India tops the world in corruption and is a superpower of corruption

@Goswami: If India is a superpower why cannot it challenge China who is entering or has occupied parts of India claiming to be theirs. Why does not India expel Pakistan from the Pakistan-Kashmir or what they call Azad Kashmir? The Superpowers of the world are acting and evicting the bad and evil by warfare. Do not yep rubbish here

Go -slow-wami : an Indian is born corrupt to the core. the only good Indian is a dead Indian. Your Indian Army Looted and raped women not only in Goa But Kashmir and Shri Lanks too. Your Indians citizens are looting and cheating other parts of the world too. Take all your Indians and our corrupt ministers and get out of Goa and see how we can survive. If you look in the mirror you could see yourself as a Pakistani they are brown too. India and Nigeria are the top two most corrupt countries in the world. So that makes you Nigerians'brothers.

  18. @To All idiots who consider, they have liberated GOA

GOA was invaded by invader Nehru through our traitor Bandorkar and the False Freedom Fighters.

The Airport of Zurich is made by Humans for Humans. The Airport of Dubai is made by Foreigners for Foreigners. All Airports in Corrupt India are made by PIGS for PIGS.

India considers itself a super power, where the engineers of India can't even build a decent Toilet for Humans, This so called super Power has no country wise Waste management, no proper roads, no Proper Manufacturing units with its own Research and Development. NO Car company that manufactures it's on design. (Just see the trucks with no cabin door, you feel the driver is going to fall out) Rickshaws a way to kill, slow death to its driver.

India is the largest Slum industry of the world, Slums are rising at a super rate in SUPER power INDIA.
Slums are the biggest tourist attraction of the world, there are special tours in Daravi. If we don't hunt the Indians from GOA, GOA will turn out to be the next SLUM attraction of the World, (small NAGERS will join to build a SUPER NAGAR)

For more then 5 generation it's the same trains, for more then 5 generation it's the same FIAT Taxis, HATHgadi and BAILgadi still compete with high end Technology in Super Power India.

Besides Garment, (Which the Britisher's taught the Indians to produce) pollution and corruption, no one can beat super India.

Indians still don't understand that the USA and Europe are fooling them, saying they are a super power and so on, the USA and Europe wants that Indians do the Low end Job, where they don't have time, they outsource their Jobs to India, the time what they save by outsourcing, the USA and Europe utilize this time for research and Development for their country and People. (and these stupid Indians think they are important, whereas they just do what USA and Europe have invented a long time ago.) The whole of Bangalore, Poona & Hyderabad are indirect employees of the USA and Europe.

Now comes the nightmare, INDIA is the biggest MARKET for CHINA, the shit what they produce. Gandhi would have a choice to go once again on hunger strike, the last time he went on hunger strike was when Nehru didn't want to pay Jinnah 65 crores.

India has a very good relation with China, China has occupied 75% Of Arunachal Pradesh, China has occupied 19% of Kashmir. Still no one is questioning - why does India have a normal relation with China? why the Stupid brainless Indians buying Chinese GOODS?, why are they allowed to be sold in INDIA?

Tibet is a colony of the Chinese, GOA was a province / State of Portugal, then to India Invaded Goa. Does the Indians have the Ball's to invade TIBET or free TIBET?

  19. @ Salvador of Seraulim & Action man, I see you new on this blog. Welcome on board. Salvador, your comments will definitely be noted by some of our youngsters, if they are truly the sons of Goan parents and love our motherland. We in Goa needs freelance leaders, who are contends with succession of various causes, without personal attachment or allegiance and supports several causes with total commitment to its people. Can we produce such leaders, who can lead our youngsters to attain our goal? Crumb eaters will only realize the present aspect of their life when they get rejected and stopped getting their daily finance from these rogue and dirty politicians. These politicians try to use them in whatever manner possible and once they lack in zeal, they throw them out like piece of cake being thrown to pigs. If all the people from South Goa can realize their mistakes, they will definitely come out and vote for good candidates in the next election instead of electing the same bunch of Jack asses.

I agree with you, but you see we've to be careful. In Goa supari killing is a way of life. E.G. Mickies girl, Cipriano and many others whom we don't know.

I suggest let's make us strong through this blog mentally, the time is going to come, but it's not tomorrow or the day after.

    Preparedness is the best Defence.

    Ask yourself, are we prepared?

Hai Goswami (Chost mami). You are not the mouth piece of the Indians, Goa was once a beautiful unspoilt place. The Indians introduced crime and corruption to Goa. You think Goa was liberated, The so called Liberators would have a Goan guerrilla force with it.
When Tanzania forces helped Uganda liberate from Idi Amin's regime, Ugandan guerrilla forces fought alongside. After Liberation Tanzanian forces left Uganda. So why are the Indian forces still in GOA.
There is no history of a Goan Guerrilla force except a few opportunists calling themselves freedom fighters. Take your Indians out of Goa Daman and Diu and we will support ourselves.
