BHOTTAK ZAI TEDNA OMAS by Freddy Agnelo Fernandes, Dubai

As I browsed through all the papers I just couldn’t help but notice the photograph of the PWD minister in his chamber at the Secretariat, there are two other MLA’s in the photo and probably reporters. It was amusing to see the statue of our lady of Valankani on the side table, at first what looked like a lamp just in front of the statue, on further scrutiny turned out to be a tea cup, what a way to respect our holy mother.
The heading captioned “No one should be forced to resign: Churchill” caught my attention, well it made a good read with the usual, the PWD minister talking without thinking was very much evident, the uneducated PWD minister trying real hard to redress a fellow uneducated Education Minister’s pathetic present status.
Yes ofcourse, we are in a democracy, where in a person is innocent until and unless proved guilty in the court of law. We all have a sound understanding of this law don’t we ? I am sure even the PWD minister knows about it or else he wouldn’t have said it, but how long ago was the “Ratol” case in the news, wasn’t it the PWD minister who was baying for the blood of his bete noire Mickey Pacheco ? Or how long was it, when the PWD minister was shouting for the sacking of the BJP leader ? I am not in support of any shameless politician they are all one worse than the other but did the PWD minister not know then that “No one should be forced to resign” ? Or is it the case of “Bhottak zai tedna omas” ?
I would further like to remind our PWD Minister that, it is not just ethical but judicious for politicians and people in authority to resign if caught in the eye of a scam, and the Education Minister has owned that it was his money, so framing is out of question and the pittance of an excuse that he was ignorant of the law is just not good enough to prove his innocence. It is also in the news that the beleaguered Education Minister has strong support from all the Congress politicians, I don’t think anyone needs to be surprised anymore because we all know what is meant by honour among thieves, don’t we ?

  1. Ten percent minister Chorchill enough of your sermons. We have been listening them for ages. You can't fool all the people all the time. Were you not demanding Micckey's resignation ? What happened to the law then? Why didn't you wait till the court proved him guilty ? Why was Dayanand Narvenkar made to resign before the court proved him guilty. You all Congress ruling MLA's are rogues. And you are the biggest once.

  2. It is shame for the people of Goa to elect illeterate and mentally retarded people like THE BIG FAT PIG OF VARCA. whenever the opportunity comes to talk, this asshole , donkey talks any rubbish. All the congress ministers are outdated and near expiry, so the gandu high congress command replace them with new faces. At one time the pig wanted to ban RATOL and now he should ban politician's foreign trips.

Every minister in Goa be it From BJP or Congress they do not show the do not care for Goans. The current the congress are for filling their pockets white the BJP are in Goa to create a rift between relegions. Kick these two parties out of Goa and we will have a honest, peacefull and hionest Goa.

  5. Do you expect the minister to respect the holy mother? He probably expects the holy mother to respect him. After all, he is a minister, while she ministers to her sons. And daughters.
