OLD GOA POLICE ARE STILL CLUELESS IN THE BRUTAL MURDER OF AMITABH BORKAR

PANJIM: The Old Goa police are still clueless in the brutal murder of the Chimbel teenager, Amitabh Borkar, but are hopeful of achieving a breakthrough in the case as soon as possible, said police inspector, Mr Francisco Corte.
"So far we have rounded up most of his close friends on suspicion and also recorded their statements about his behaviour, habits and other things," said Mr Corte, adding that, so far they had no clue that could lead to the accused.  "We are investigating the case from all possible angles, and are hopeful of achieving a breakthrough in the murder," he stated.
It may be noted that the teenager from Chimbel was found brutally murdered near Merces fountain, next to the Hindu crematorium. The deceased had multiple stab injuries around his neck and face.  The post mortem on the body was conducted by the Goa Medical College and Hospital doctors and the body was handed over to his relatives for final rites.
