ILLEGAL MINING-SALE RACKET EXPOSED BY NIZ GOENKAR – by Alfonso de Albuquerqe

Goa is bound by the issues of mining problems Legal mining and of Illegal Mining, these both type of mining have created ripples all over. Legal mining are the ones that all the government documents are provided, NOC, etc but through the back door. If you want to go and check all the aspect which are required to clear the area for mining you will not find more then 10 mines in Goa which will obey all the rules and regulation as per the State, National or International level.
So this shows how the Government has adapted a back door entry of the mining lobbies in our small state. Our vegetation is lost, our forest has disappeared, our water table has subsided, our natural wealth is looted and our identity is vanishing. Here is how Niz Goenkar exposed the mining-sale Racket; this will show you how the Niz Goenkar is different from the other press who risk their lives for the cause of our motherland. Niz Goenkar visited Sanguem, Quepem, & Sanvordem mines with the Bouncer of the mining head (No photos, no recording were done due to safety reason).
When Niz Goenkar visited these location he almost found that at least 10 mines are operating illegally (Real illegal figure not know) and how they do it is as follows. Before the Non Goans who are rich used to purchase land from all these areas and use it for illegal mining now the ministers and the MLA’s are also involved in it. These mines are covered by tarpaulin of light green or brownish in colour, you cannot see it if you try from Google Earth as the colour of the plants or rocks is matched accordingly. Outside of the mines are surrounded by trees to show that nothing is seen from the ground level. These mines are almost ¾ size of the football Stadium and inside of the mines the lights are available for the people and the machinery. Mostly the Biharis work in these mines and some Goans are also present. No one is allowed to enter these mines, there are bouncers with Guns surrounding the areas and they have order to shoot strangers. If you are found to be a spy then you are gone as they will kill you and your body will be buried over there and no one will come to know about it. Here they have know truck owners and know contractors to excavate the mines or iron ores, this racket was going for many years not only Congress regime, this was going under MGP, BJP and NCP, basically all are involved in it indirectly or directly.
Now let me tell you how the Iron ore is exported, this is bit difficult but they have done this with brokers where the brokers get huge amount of profit. I have come to know a broker within 3 years he made 11 crores of profit straight to the bank. This is the chamchas or the crumb eaters of the politicians and is ready even to kill you if you point finger to their boss. All the ministers have their kin in Dubai they rotate like seasons. Monster Rat kin has purchased flat in Palm Island, also the kin of Alemao, Kamat, etc. almost all the minister are involved in this. In Goa the kins stay in 5 star hotels for the business purpose. At present there is lot of Iron ore from these illegal mines and these guys are trying to find the buyers as to find the buyers for the illegal mines are not easy, but they have done it and looted millions of crores. One Ton of iron ore is Rs. 4800, and if they supply 1000 tones per day then the figure comes to Rs. 4800000 of which 30 % will be their expenses, so that is how they have build their nest and their base in Goa. In Dubai all sorts of traders comes there and in here they find their takers for the iron ores, these brokers earn 1-2 crores at one time. Their contractor stays in Goa’s 5 Star hotels; they stay there and make all the arrangements for safe transfer of the brown gold (iron Ore). Then this iron ore is transported to all over the world and especially to China and some part to gulf countries. The Goan politicians are therefore go to Dubai and some of them have their hotels over there and avenues. Most of the brokers in Goa will get 50 lakhs to 1 crore for each consignment, they do not have risk as their part is only to find the buyers and give it to the takers, but their bounty is settled as promised. This bouncer is trying to find out the buyers, but he is not lucky and he even asked Niz Goenkar if he can find the buyer and to divide the boot fifty-fifty.
Now the picture of illegal mining has come to the people and how this is sold and all those who are involved. The outsiders and insiders both are present for looting Goa, the mine owners run the government, all the minister are involved in it. There is no one in Goa as Minister who is not involved; they have looted money of Goans. They have looted our mother and now it is on verge of collapse. So, the only option is there to solve this is to throw the government and burn all this mines and the owners in it.

  1. It is just shocking to see the destruction of Goa by the greed from those into mining. Even Ministers like Joaquim Alemao and the others are into illegal mining. All this is being exported to China and other countries without keeping in mind the harmful effects.

  3. Thanks to Goa's Corrupt Ministers and land sharks, The landscape of Goa has been damaged beyond repair. Even the Indian Navy that occupies Goa's Civilian Airport wants to grab more Goan land for their holiday homes. Every village in Goa suffers the same fate. We can only fight to save what is not touched, But it requires the unity of every Goan to create a political change.

  4. Recent new about secondary gold deposits being found in north goa, doesn't bode well for goa and the common man. I bet these glutton politicians will kill to dig out the gold and could be they have already started buying large tracts of land there, even by deceit and forgery.

  5. We need a strong leader who can make our cause international and get world opinion about colonial Indian Union..perhaps someone like Dr.Phizo or may be even a Goan Gandhi who can fight for our rights and lead a successful mass movement.

  6. It is quite an astonishing and frightful account about these mines being operated in Goa. Kudos to Niz Goenkar Alfonso de Albuquerqe for being so bold to brief on these corrupt happenings. Had never come across that such incidents being carried out in open in our golden Goa. The rich becomes more richer while the poor are left with bones to eat viz the dust that is flown from these mines. What a pity state of affairs presently the politicians are creating in our Goa, and if such atrocities continue I am sure we will never again get our State back but it will be all eaten by these scavengers of earth. All these assholes miners should be dumped in their own creations.

As long as we have corrupt ministers and no decent leaders to fight them Goa will never change for the better. Niz Goenkar has done a good job in a short period to expose the corrupt ministers. It is time for Goans to come out in the open and fight for the better of Goa.
