GOAN FREEDOM FIGHTERS TO TOUR 200 VILLAGES OF GOA

PANJIM: Fifty years after Goa's liberation from Portuguese rule, like-minded individuals and freedom fighters who took part in the struggle will tour 200 villages that saw rebellion against the foreign power.  A committee, headed by veteran freedom fighter Flaviano Dias, has been formed to chalk out an elaborate programme to spread awareness about the freedom struggle which had led to Goa's liberation on December 19, 1961 (rpt December 19, 1961).
"We have noticed that the patriotic spirit amongst the youth is on the wane," Subhash Velingkar, Working President of the committee, told reporters here today.
When a Portuguese Navy ship arrived here in November last year to celebrate 500 years of Goa conquest, there were public rallies welcoming the vessel, he said.  "In fact, there should have been protests as the ship was a grim reminder of the arrival of Portuguese, who ruled and tortured us."
There are at least 200 villages where freedom fighters launched brave rebellion against the Portuguese, he said.  "We want to visit villages and places where rebellion took place and organise functions there. The aim is to make locals aware about the importance of these places and ignite spirit of nationalism among the current generation."  If possible, local freedom fighters who participated in the rebellion would be honoured, he said.
Veteran freedom fighter Flaviano Dias said nearly 60 per cent of the freedom fighters have died. "Those who are alive would be ceremoniously brought to a pre-decided place in villages and honoured." – PTI

  1. Those Pimps are trying to brainwash 200 villagers...why dont we niz goenkars try doing the same thing by reaching out to our fellow community (village) members in order to counter the brain washing false propaganda of these Ghanti indian pimps?
Its not an easy task but we must be persistant...i mean it took me almost 2 years to convince my family and a few close friends to take up the cause who inturn are spreading the truth to their family...initially i was considered a Lunatic but now many goans are beginning to look beyond the false ghanti propaganda....and yes hindi entertainment channels should be banned in Goa as it is banned in Mizoram,Manipur and nagaland.

  2. Yes Pia, these are paid Agents working for the Indian government to brainwash our people. Delhi got word that we have a case for Independence and now send their Agents to do their job. These people are TRAITORS of Goa!! It is time we recognize them as they are. It is time for our people to speak up about the way they feel. We need 'agents' to counteract these traitors. Our people know in their hearts and minds that they would like to be free from corrupt India. We are losing our land every day. They are going to kick us Goans out in time, as we have the best real estate in all of India. The want our land!!! See what the Navy has done…how many examples do we need???? What is wrong with us? Aren’t we ready to fight as our ancestors would want us to do? Don’t we want to do it for the future youth of Goa? Wake up Goans. OUR Goa is going, going, Gone.....

  4. The pimp Karmali will lead them and let them pass infront of my house, hot and boiling water on their backs await them. Shame on these Freedole Farters who feed on our money are so shameless. These are fake Freedole Farters like Karmali and need attention to live on free doles and government grants. Let us unite and tell them in one voice that we do not need them. If they want to really free us then they should eradicate all the destructors of Goa and free us.

We had one so called freedom fighter in Seraulim Fabiao whose son is a criminal for hire, molesting women, armed robbery. land grabbing you name the crimes he has done it. Before Fabiao passed away we stated that this is not the freedom he fought for, Meaning the current political mess Goa is in, but what did he do to correct it Nothing. What are the other Freedom fighters doing about it Nothing but are reaping tax payers for the perks they and their family are receiving, for letting the Invasion of Goa. The must be hanged as traitors.

Some of you are very right, these "False FF's" should first work on destroying all Portuguese heritage buildings that Invader Indians are possessing-

These FFF's should go and count all the Nagers that are popping up in Goa, They should go and count all the Vote Bank Basties in Goa. They should count all the Fields that are destroyed through buildings projects. They should go and count all the BAILO people doing business in our bazaars. They should go and count all the Gutters which are produced by the Government of GOA. They should go and count all the corrupt Police men who are harassing the common people on behalf of the Government.

There are small streets between 18th June road and M. G. Road where these lanes are used for businesses, to repair cars and 2 Wheelers. How can public roads be used for such illegal businesses?, without the Ministers getting a cut back through the Goa Police, this would never be possible. Our public beaches are also sold to private investors through our Minister, our Forefathers fields are being destroyed for Invader Indians. Our more then 100 + Years old trees are being cut to make place for more Gatties.

All this and more the FFF's can't see, the only reason because these FFF's are responsible for all ill that's happening in Goa.

When we have a true peoples Government in Goa, we should put all traitors behind bars for treason, first come first served, you FLAVIANO DIAS will be the first, next will follow as no one will be spared.

All fields that are destroyed will be made one day into fields again, all fields that are made into building complexes will be made one day into FOOTBALL GROUNDS, so GATTIES think twice before buying any houses or Apartments in our holy Fields.

  9. My advice to these so-called FF's is, when touring the Goan villages, please carry a "Kotti" coconut shell in your hands and beg. Tell the people you have fought for Goa's freedom and that the Bharat Govenment has not compensated for you, that is why we have come begging for our daily bread. This is the same story like our infamous Mickey Mouse but in a different version. What a pathetic state these crumb eaters will go to.

  10. Please greet them with a pile of shit. That is all they deserve for landing all of goa in the present mess and for remaining mute, dumb spectators to the wide scale destruction of goa by the ghantti indians and our criminal politicians. The stinking ba****rs should be in hell by now.
