DON’T PLAY WITH OUR CHILDREN’S FUTURE by Joel Morais, Cuncolim

The rally by Shashikala Kakodkar and company at Azad Moidan,Panjim to protect the mother tongue was massive but did Shashikala supported konkani during the Konkani agitation? It's the right of the parents to educate their children as per their wishes. We are not bothered about rallies,We want our children to prosper at the international level and we are seriously bothered about their future.
Nobody is preventing Shashikala and company in protecting the language and there is no point in protecting something which has already been protected. If the government don't have any problem to continue grants to the Marathi medium schools, there should be no problem in providing aid to the English medium schools.
The government should decide using proper sense and not on the basis of rallies.Rallies cannot decide our innocent children's future. If no option left then we will have to get out innocent children on the streets to seek justice.

  1. The future of our younger generation and future generation to come is at stake, while Goa’s government plays second fiddle top Marathi medium. It is the duty of parents and guardians of underage children to seek education of their choice.

Dr Wilfred de Sousa, while addressing reporters, has stated that according to the Goa Official language Act and the central RTE, the state government is duty bound to give grants to all educational institutions, including those teaching in the English medium. Government cannot discriminate against any institution only on grounds of language.

Dr Wilfred also added that "every citizen of this democratic country has the right to choose their child's medium of instruction. Let the parents decide. .... But the government must give grants to all schools, English-medium included".

Dr De Sousa further stated that the RTE Act stresses on compulsory and free education. "If the government gives grants to some schools and not to English, then it is going against the central Act".

I have no respect to this so called gentleman Dr. Willy, where was he in hybernation all this years?. A person on the verge of going to six feet under any time but never opened mouth nor fought against that is detrimental to Goa. He is senior most Politician and could have used his good office during his tenure as MLA, Minister and even CM be it language front as wells as Special Status but this good for nothing rogue was like a duck hatching eggs in the assembly. Everyone wants to talk while they are out of power but while in power they are like leeches in the politics.

  4. Shashikala Kakoddkar is a daughter or late Dayanand Bandoddkar who was a greatest Traitor and enemy of Goa and Goans. He wanted to merge Goa unconditionally into Maharashtra. Shashikala and other traitors belong to MGP of Bandoddkar. Although the historic Opinion Poll have shut their mouth and heart and their mind too to think further of any treason on Goa and Goans, these lizards and snakes are still around shamelessly to look for an opportunity to stir a storm amidts Goans. They have long lost their identity and have no rights over Goa and on any Goan causes any more. But they are like shameless hyenas and are still around like parasites. All such products of MGP and the likes of it should be totally ignored and discarded at any point and stage.

    Long live Goa
