DIFFERENT LAWS FOR DIFFERENT PEOPLE? by Joel Morais, Cuncolim

Looking at the present situation, looks like things in our beloved country will never change for good.In our beloved country,we always witness different laws for different people.Take the recent case in which the highly educated Education minister of Goa caught by the customs for carrying a huge sum of money.
Would the action by the customs have been same if person like me was involved in a similar case?Sorry to say that we live in a country where in a Supreme court law can be overruled by a bill passed by a corrupt elected government. For example,With regard to the CRZ regulations in Goa,our beloved government saved a Five Star hotel in the name of a Bill but the genuine structures of the poor couldn't be saved.
It's only the Earthquakes and the Tsunamis can change our system.God,save our souls!

Justin, I do accept your saying " we need guts to come to street". But do the people need to hit the street everytime whenever this corrupt Govt. impose illigalities against people's wishes?. I don't agree. People may do so once or twice but no everytime. People also do have their own daily personal routines. Just imagine in this five years how many times this worst ever Govt. brought the people on the street. Is this a democracy?. No, it is Autocracy as you said. Few evil people commit sin by electing this evil politicians and then whole masses has to bear the brunt of it.

  3. Yes, we need guts to come out on the streets and create earthquakes and tsunamis. Just mere talking will never help. The Chors must be laughing behind our back while we keep on talking.

Call it Indian or Goan Governments the law is double standard. Another 50years of Invasion there will be more poor and innocent in Jails than rich politicians.

  5. I agree the people should come on to the streets and create the Tsunami that will bring the change. Then once and for all we got to throw the chors out and elect new, genuine and honest people to power. Kamat should be made to sweep the streetsor chased away with his illegal children in moti dongor. What is this baizuan doing these days? Probably crying over the money he lost through babush.
