BABUSH'S TRIP TO DUBAI THAT WAS CUT SHORT by Adv. Aires Rodrigues, Ribandar

On 2nd April while India was gearing up for the Cricket World cup finals, Goa was in the news for its Education Minister Babush Monseratte being intercepted at the Bombay Airport on his way to Dubai with foreign currency beyond the permissible limits. Only Babush Monserrate and the Customs officer who initially intercepted him will know the exact quantum that was seized.
Education Minister Babush Monseratte now says that he was unaware he could not carry that amount. Very true. How can you expect a 7th std passed to know the law. And on September 7, 1978 when he dropped out of school while in Class 8 a student was not even expected to know the difference between a rupee, dirham, dollar and for that matter what a traveler cheque was.
Babush Monseratte cannot be entirely blamed. The onus is on Chief Minister Digambar Kamat for having opted for an Education Minister who lacks what he needs the most. If money was everything and education was not a prerequisite for every profession including politics all schools, colleges and universities would have been shut by now. What Goa desperately needs is a Lokayukta. If we had one in place most of the current Ministers and some MLA ‘s would have been cooling their heels in jail. What a respite it would have been for Goa and Goans.

  1. Education is not the first requirement in a Minister. As one can see, not even in an Education Minister. When he dropped out of school may be the Education Minister was not aware of the difference between various monetary units. Today he is a super specialist in that.
However, being a school dropout, he is not aware of the law. he is not aware how much money can be taken out of the country, how much money can be brought in, legally. He knows only how much he wants to smuggle out, how much he wants to smuggle in. Laws are not applicable. He is ignorant of the laws. The school dropout-cum-minister says he has done nothing wrong since he was not aware of the law.

  2. There are few people in Goa to speak against the GOONDAS like Monsterrate, Kamat , Ravi , Rane jr, Alemaos, Mickky, Azgoankar etc, rest of the Goans are crumb eaters. They treat this donkey politicians like gods. Wake up Goans and throw all these goondas turned politicians into the gutter.

  3. Dotor, are you trying to demafe our illiterate Education Minister by writing your nice article. You have to understand that he is an uneducated soul who was not knowing how much loot from Goa to take in hard currency and deposit abroad. He was just going to Dubai to huck around and conving arguments can be made that a man without education is beyond expectation. A man without education is really amazing, I deem that’s why every country lay so much stress on education, they hope not to lose at the beginning of the races. In Goa, it is OK, Chalta hai, you can be even one illiterate Minister to educat eth whole of the State.
Long Live the Truth, Long live the education, Hell with Cowmuth Ministry!

  4. Look who is talking!!!!!!!!!!! But for how long is the question. Maybe till the next high tide in the Mandovi washes something along the river-banks at Ribandar.

Babush the monster was created by Parrikar - man who forged Filipe Neri's signature to cling to power in the most undemocratic manner. The master manipulator and cheat who bought novices like Babush and the clown prince of Betalbatim with huge cash inducements and plum ministries, the man who sowed and cultivated the seeds of communalism in Goa, the man who leased out government buillt and owned auditorium commplex in prime property of Panaji to saffron connected gujarati party Inox for a pittance and in-turn got huge kick-backs. But it is not surprising that the crook from Ribandar can never find any fault with him coz his palms are greased by the sangh Parivar.

But who cares, does he have any credibility? The voters from Ribandar gave the answer in the recent CCP elections

  5. I don't trust all these monkeys, it could also be that The tree cutter Babush was carrying Parrikar's money to Dubai and as Babush is caught he is angry for loosing his hard earned robed money. It was Parrikar who brought Babush to the Political show, although he knew that Babush was corrupt.
I believe that a tree has a soul, when one cuts a tree for other peoples benefit the tree understands, but when one cuts a tree for ones profit, the soul takes its revenge.

Hi Dalia:::: If you take into account Mr Digamber Kamats education level...it must be BSc.,(Batchelor of sciences) or B.A.
He is no longer a Batchelor. He is married now.
The new qualification is Batchelor of Scientific Crooks(BSC).
Now many Goans will not use the word" Batchelor". So I have to graduate to the word Bas_-ard of Scientific Crooks and criminals.
If he is (B.A)...it must be Bustar-? of Accomplices.
Goans must remember, he is the most worthless C.M.

Crumb eaters elect these illiterate politicians; in return they rob the innocent Citizens. These politicians have bred siblings to be rapists and drug dealers. To change Goa we will first eliminate crumb eaters.

  9. Yeah the guy's Dubai can welcome him with huge banners at the airport. The banners should read "Welcome to the UNEDUCATED EDUCATION MINISTER of Goa".

  10. I guess the Goans now can commit crimes and say they did not know it was illegal. So for starters lets stone their houses and pretend we were not aware that this act could be penalised. COWMUTH you are a disgrace to GOA and you will support Monsy here as I'm sure you are hand in glove in this crime.

If I do commit a crime will I be freed because of my ignorance of the Law, or would I have to buy the law or be a minister. If this minister is free, at what cost and what was the promise ? Booze and Foreign trips and women?
