VIVA LIBERATION by Joel Morais, Cuncolim

The one time beautiful state of Goa that was once known for love, peace and truth is no longer can be called as a peaceful state. The love disappeared and presently the truth always fails in the state. The Crime rate has been increased like anything and the concerned departments looks to be not bothered at all. Murders, Rapes, daylight burglaries etc turned out to be very common in Goa.
Would the case have been the same if Goa was still under Portuguese Rule? The so called living freedom fighters will have a better answer.
Today, Goa is robbed every moment, we blame "ghantis' and feel happy to paste them, we got someone to blame. None of us blame the current politicos who loot Goa. We beat ghantis but we have got no guts to beat these politicos in the secret ballot box? What is our own secret that we like to stick to the same old looters? Aren't some of us now intending to bring in their sons and daughters by voting them to power? Aren't we creating more monsters?
Why don't we educate ourselves that this trend is going to kill all Goans of their land and livelihood? Let us wake up and liberate Goa by throwing out these corrupt politicians who are ruining Goa. Let us do it and celebrate the victory, Viva Goa! Viva Liberation!

  1. Joel Morais, your article is excellent. I totally agree with you. The present CM has developed Goa. What development he did? Garbage everywhere, slum areas are spreading, roads are in bad conditions, corruption is at its highest level, criminal, thieves are on increase, deforestation has led to destruction of habitats, rivers and seas are polluted and what development the CM is talking about? It is a shame for Goa and Goans. But this CM has no shame at all because he is Ghanti CM of Goa.

  4. Goa has seen much development since liberation - increase in crimes, increase in road accidents, garbage piles, increase in slums, decrease of forest areas, pollution of rivers and fresh water reservoirs, destruction of ecology. All negative.
There is no positive development - improved infrastructure and so on.

  5. I don't know if our people are ready to do the right thing. If the last elections are a precursor to the future of Goa, I have little hope. When Dr Oscar Rebello, a good man, begged our people not to give their support to the thief, Babush Monster Rat, they did not listen. They say Goa has the highest literacy rate, so I am assuming most people can read or at least understand what is being said to them, which leaves me to draw two conclusions....either people are stupid or they are selfish, looking out for their own self interest. So which is it? Somehow I tend to believe it the latter, the reason I say that is when one looks the large numbers that turned out for the English medium fight, yet so few turn out for issues concerning the destruction of Goa. I hate to say this but we must be truthful and face the facts if we are to turn things around. I hope the GRA will succeed but it has to resonate in the hearts and minds of the people. Each day one hears of more and more shocking incidences with the current 40 CHORS with the CM at the top. Yet more and more it stays the same. Sure they will be a little chorus for a while but it will soon die down. I honestly don't know what is 'enough' for our people. It is long been established that a lot of ministers go overseas to take black money to stash. It is simple, if the CBI ever needs to investigate, …..but it will not be done. It is estimated that billions are stashed away by Indians in foreign banks. The response of these people is that they don’t see it as a national issue causing harm to the country??….So shocking! But this is 'dirty' India. Is it any surprise that CHORchill is supporting Babush MonsterRAT in his latest smuggling endeavor??? He sure fooled the masses making them think he was going to Dubai to attend their tiarts and football matches. It was reported that thousands showed up at the airport to greet him. Even more showed up to glorify his smuggling brother's death anniversary. Last year Babush MonsterRAT was supposed to the chief guest for the Swindon community in the UK. He did not attend, but here again we see our people falling over backwards to very people that are DESTROYING Our Goa. How does one explain this???? Are we a stupid people or a selfish people? Which one is it?

Mr. Morias under the Portuguese rule any crime committed would shock entire Goa. Rapes and murders were hardly heard of,punishment was the harsher then one could imagine. The invading Indians were used to commuting vicious crimes which they introduced to our sacred soil Goa. I wish the younger generation would carry our research of Goan past peaceful history, and compare with with current criminal history. God Bless Goa.

The bloody f@#$%^&/?g indian ghanttis have made a mess of Goa. Goa used to be so clean and tidy. It is high time that the Goans should unite and start hammering the ghanttis. the chief minister of Goa shri Cowmuth is the main culprit and dirty b@#$%^&/?d of all. Then the traitors called MGP (Maharashtrachi Gooachi Party) having terrorists like Sudin dhavlikar and his brother who are running the sanathan sanstha terrorist organisation, should all be done away with.
