CBI AGREES TO PROBE POLICE-POLITICIAN-DRUGS NEXUS CASE

PANJIM: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Tuesday told the Bombay High Court that it was willing to probe Goa's police-politician drug nexus probe.  CBI counsel Carlos Ferreira told the Panjim bench of the Bombay High court that a notification to the effect would be issued soon. In March, the agency had told the court it was unable to handle the probe because it was "overburdened" and that the local language was a hindrance.
A division bench comprising Justices S Dharmadhikari and FM Reis was hearing a petition filed by National Students Union of India (NSUI) president Sunil Kavthankar, seeking a federal probe into the drug nexus.
The probe encompasses two criminal cases in which two Israeli drug dealers Yaniv Benaim alias Atala and David Driham alias Dudu's kin were arrested along with seven police officials.  Home Minister Ravi Naik's son Roy has also been linked to the Israeli drug mafia by the international media as well as opposition legislators. – IANS

  1. As long as congress rule Goa nothing will change, it's just an eye wash. All the congress ministers are tainted in one way or the other. The CM want to stick to his chair so the ministers are making hay while the toad is ruling Goa. There is no other alternative left to Goans other than to come on the road and set the congress politicians on fire. These congress politicians split Goa into two parts: one part for the corrupt congress politicians of Goa and the other for the congress babus of Delhi.

  4. This is nothing but a case of the "Musical chair" The CBI too of late is nothing but a body without limbs. The limbs are in New Delhi being manipulated to as per the needs of the people in power to fit their agenda.

Can somebody tell me what is the use of the CBI probe into this case now? A very dirty and crooked police officer Chandrakant Salgaonkar has already destroyed all the evidence in the case. What will the CBI get now? Egg shells only/ Ravi Naik his master has used him to destroy all the evidence agains his son Roy. I am surprised that how come a 5th class fail person is so intelligent destructor of evidence.
