READERS' IDEAS AND OPINION REQUESTED by Niz Goenkar

Dear Readers,
NIZ GOENKAR recently completed 1 year as a Forum for exchange of ideas and as a tool, to express concerns that affect Goa and Goans.
As we would like to move forward and promote NIZ GOENKAR to a wider audience, I now would like to kindly invite Readers to express ideas and suggestions as to how this could be acheived.
Your views & comments will help us establish the routemap and indicate what needs to be done.

  3. Sir, we are with you all the way from Goa here. You decide what is best to be done and let us know. I know that you are doing a tremendous work with your team. It is not that easy to do all that and to maintain all this by yourself alone. Let all the readers now come up with some good ideas as Niz Goenkar is the only site and forum where we can express ourselves freely. Unlike the HERALD the CHAMCHA of the politicians, Niz Goenkar has brought out issues and truth behind Goa and its History. We are very grateful to you for that.

  4. We must congratulate Minino for the fine work he is doing to make Goa a better place. Niz Goenkar is a site which allows anybody to express his/her opinion freely without any political obstructions or pressures. Readers, here is the democracy at work. So please feel free and come up with your suggestions/ideas as to what needs to be done. When such opportunity is given by the editor of this site we should make best use of it. Plese do not criticize later. Lets give direction to the movement.

Dear Menino - Well done. V Goans did required a forum like this. moving forward unfortunately Nizgoenkar as well as the site is not so popular with Goans , reasons U might know better. V should do something about this

I need to correct you here.Niz Goenkar is popular and well liked.
Sadly, in Goa, not a lot of people have access to the Internet. Many discussions, specially Political, still take place by word of mouth or biased Newspapers.
However I hope you enjoy reading the comments as it teaches us lot and allows debate. I personally have learnt such a lot from each and every commentator myself.
Regretably Bebdo does not write articles here anymore due to personal & family reasons. His last article here will advise you of his reasons.
He also hopes he can acheive some of his Political and writing ambitions through some other means and methods.
The Editor Menino, today, has asked readers for suggestions as to how they would like Niz Goenkar to move forward.I hope you will contribute some views and suggestions on this.

Dear Menino, I cannot imagine and tolerate how our beloved motherland is being under destruction day after day. And my only humble request is to strive and dig out Goa's case for Independece with United Nations as early as possible through NG and I assure you that each and every Goan no matter whether they are based in Goa or abroad will be behind you in every aspect to search for right channel to achieve our Goal. That's all every Goan's wish at present. I wish NG good luck and prosperity.

Dear Vicente and the rest of the readers,

I can assure you that I am working hard on getting all the facts of Goa in place and searching for very loophole and tracks into legal Internaltional resolutions of the UN on Goa. Once I am sure and thorough with the knowledge I will move the UN International Court against the IOG and it occupation of our Country Goa. But this will take time and a lot of study has to be done on it and I spend every minute of my free time on it. All I need is your support and your suggestions how to expand Niz Goenkar. - Menino de Valpoi

  11. I agree with you Menino, the time and knowledge are the two important factors to deal with anything. We are with you Menino and our support is always for you. I think the best possible way is to discuss in groups with our friends, and among Goans about NIZ GOENKAR , who do not have access to the internet. I have already given the site to my friends who were not aware of it.

Dear N.Fernandes. of course Niz Goenkar is popular and well liked site. We had a history subject in school which educated us about the sacrifices done by the Indian freedom fighters towards the independence of India & nothing was spoken about Goa. Even Bastard Bandodcar was praised Regretably by our teachers who happened to be priests & nuns as our teachers for this subject.personally I have learnt such a lot from each and every commentator (would like to mention about Vesalao D,silva through Pedro. as far as Goa is concerned We should have his statue in place of bastard Bandodcar so also Dotor Jack Sequeira if not next to him , some where in Panjim) I do enjoy reading comments from this site but my real enjoyment would be to see an Independent Goa before I die. As long as i live niz goenkar will have my unconditional support & I request Bebdo to contribute more educational articles about Goa.

Based on the current Political conditions, climate and flavours in Goa /India, Independence may be a very long way off.
However realistically and logically, SPECIAL STATUS", will be the next best option and launch pad,and from there possibly your dream of an Independent Goa.
There are still many Independence movements taking place around the World, including India.
This is my personal opinion, but you are allowed to differ.

  22. D. Justin you have done the right thing. I hope others who are on this site will follow your example. I on my part has also done the same. This sort of chain re-action can help to change Goa.

  23. God bless you MENINO and please remain out of politics and remember this a free service for Goans as even prominent paper like Heraldo no longer can function independently w/o influence.

I wish Goans like you more WISDOM than knowledge to figure out the right from wrong and to take Goa on the right path from corruption and sleaze.

Always be on guard..You Blog is the only and the One place to develop integrity and foster unity among Goans and hope Goans will not indulge into mud slinging and make good constructive use of great opportunity.

One more suggestion if we can forward videos with self messages like Micheal moore and upload them on you tube you can link them under a category in your archive .

A virtual Azad Maiden. where Goans can upload suggestion, criticism and condemnation

Dear Menino, to make NG more popular and reachable to every Goan around the world, my suggestion is to advertise NG on more prominent web site like Facebook and google. Apparently, for that matter we need lot of finance and we can work out through NG itself. Because, there are lot many Goan's who are ready to sacrifice towards contribution. You can consider my idea as one of the option that I placed before you.

  26. Guys why do we have to indulge in name calling the least we can do is not to fight among ourselves, coz only the third party (destroyers of GOA) will benefit.

My Sincer suggestion for this blog, would be to have User ID's / Names that are somehow protected by Passwords, so no one else can use the same, and try to tarnish someones reputation... @Dlp sincerly my appologies, but the above person is not me, i do have an email registered with the same name at gmail if you still want proof... Mineno knows that....

Niz Goenkar does have a wide readership. However, there are still many Goans who do not know about it. I have tried to promote wider readership either by word of mouth or through emails to friends and family.

I have also contributed with articles that were not accepted by local newspapers for publication, besides many that were published locally. I thank Menino for accepting them and posting on Niz Goenkar.

I have seen Niz Goenkars from Goa, Gulf and some from western countries Post articles on this NG site. Mainly because it is a fearless and uncensored site, unlike the daily press of Goa, who have their tails between their legs. Keep up the good work Menino and team.

  36. Thank you Menino for your precious time and energy, we can’t repay your generosity, what you are doing for Goa makes you a saint in many Goans life and mind. I shall remember you in my prayers so that the Lord may help you and give you more courage to fight for GOA’s rights and Independence.

Now some of my ideas how we can have NG to be known to all Goans in and around GOA.

    a. We should have flyers distributed after mass as 90% of all Catholics are pro Portuguese and would like to be independent.
    b. When a thearth (Play) is taking place in any villages, we should make a point of distributing NG views and flyers.
    c. At all temples as 60% of all Hindus would like to see India out of Goa; here too we can try our luck with these 60% Hindus.
    d. To print these flyers needs a lot of finance, you can prepare flyers, convert it into a PDF, and we can all print these flyers and distribute it to the location near to us. We can attach this flyer to every mail we send between us Goans worldwide.

My knowledge of Goan History was good as my ancestors narrated to me like a fairy tale, this fairy tale became a reality and better when I stumbled across NG: I’m sure what happened to me can also happen to other Goans, if they could also somehow could read the NG Article and the valuable comments from some viewers.

What I don’t understand is how the traitor Mario Soares signed Goa to the Indians? Where the Invader Indians did not accept Goa as the sovereign state of Portugal. If Goa and Portugal had nothing in common as per the Invaders, then the traitor Soares too had nothing to do with Goan affairs.

  37. Mr Pedro Lopes. You do write good comments in favour of Mother Goa, it is our prime duty to fight for Mother Goa, and I did my duty by being active and shed blood during the opinion Poll. I have Joined Niz Goenkar as a core Member when it was in its infancy so did DLP and four others. As the lead person Menino seeks advise on whether to publish any offensive comment or e-mails he may receive, that goes for articles too. In this article "READERS' IDEAS AND OPINION REQUESTED by Niz Goenkar" you will see that as it was a request, neither DLP or any other NG core members have posted any comments.
Until three comments of abuse and vulgar language to DLP were posted on the same article, being abusive and one of our member target for no reason Menino sent them to us and we declined to publish the comments.
As the comments were sent via unregistered e-mails, DLP had every right to let his steam out in the section, where the persons names appeared.
As per PLP's age you must be in your 90s to know DLP's mother is a B---H, or either you are DLP's father or his mother's brother to know his family status well.
Take no offence but Goans are shy of fighting for Goa, but not with each other, at this rate will we ever unite?
By the way DLP are the correct initials to his first name, middle name and surname.
God bless you in this period of LENT.

  39. I thank you and your fellow colleagues for given us an opportunity to write on this platform, there are some who take disadvantage of the system. Don’t you think it’s wise only to allow registered e-mail users to put their comments? E.g. DISQUS should do the work.

God bless you too in this Lent season. It’s a sin to do wrong, but it’s a bigger sin to keep quite when wrong is done; the biggest sin is when there are people protecting sinners.

  40. If someone from somewhere in some bodies name was abusive to you or one of your members, then this should not be a problem.
One can always locate the IP address, it tells you the location (the country) the MAC address tells you if it's the same computer, if someone is using someone's else's name then that should not be a problem to know if it's the same individual, the PC's MAC address will tell you if it handles a different individual.

As far as I know I can't hide my IP nor my MAC add. from you people. On the other hand if the abusive comments were not published, why did dlp go crazy to put hers or his comments?

  41. For all the time, effort and the dedication you ( Menino) and your team at Niz Goenkar has invested in, may the returns be infinite. Atleast there is one site today that can not be sabotaged and thats " NIZ GOENKAR" A shame on our " OHERALDO NEWSPAPER" which bowed down to political pressure and shut down its comments section with a lame excuse stating that abusive language was being used in the comments .It was any abusive language that was used , rather it was the voice of the people that sent jitters through the political circle.
Once again To Menino and his entire team and not forgetting each and every Individual ( My Goan ) who comments on this site..............A SINCERE Thank you.

Lets stop fighting with each other and use this same energy for a better cause…. Viva Goa, Viva Goenkar!

here's my small suggestion for the site.

can we have this on facebook and other GOAN websites. but the most important thing is for the GOANS residing in GOA to have access to the information here and for that to happen i think we should advertise in Herald, navhind or even other konkani & marathi newspapers.
