PWD MINISTER PROMISES TO PROVIDE PWD CONTRACT WORKERS ALL THE FACILITIES

PANJIM: The Minister for Public Works Department, Mr Churchill Alemao, on Thursday, assured the House that he will immediately provide the PWD workers engaged by contractors with facilities of Provident Fund, ESI, leave, and safety equipment.
The PWD Minister also informed the House that such workers at the Padoshe water treatment/ pumping plant had proceeded on dharna from February 12, 2011 to March 1, 2011, thus creating artificial scarcity of water in the region.  "Their demands are under the consideration of the government," he stated,
The leader of the opposition, Mr Manohar Parrikar pointed out that Provident Fund and ESI facility form fundamental right of the workers and the government has no right to take any decision on the same. "The law provides such facilities to the workers, the moment their number crosses 20 in any agency," he observed, warning that if the government delays the process of providing Provident Fund and ESI facility to the PWD workers engaged by the contractors, he would complain to the Provident Fund/ ESI authorities about the atrocities on 995 such workers in various divisions of the PWD.
Mr Alemao finally agreed to provide the facilities to these workers immediately.
He also informed that inquiry has been initiated against an employee of the PWD, Mr Sambhaji Rane on charges of sabotage/ purposeful breakdown at the plant, and attempt to blame the contract workers for the same.
Furthermore, the PWD Minister, responding to another question from the Mayem MLA, Mr Anant Shet as regards the decision of the government to withhold nearly 60 applications pertaining to the water tap connections for houses located in the evacuee property in Mayem, stated that the custodian of the evacuee property had made such a request to the government.
"The custodian had stated that many of the cases pertaining to the evacuee property are before the court and therefore, no water tap connections should be released to them until the verdict of the court," the PWD Minister added, assuring the House to reconsider this decision.  He also informed the House that the water connections to individual houses are released based on NOCs from the local village panchayats.

No doubt Churchill will or may provide these benefits...however there will be 10% less.
That 10% less is for his pockets and the Doctor from Banglore that comes once a month to collect bags of money (in crores Rupees.)

I forgot to add, that the 10% less will also have to be taken by Churchill as he has to give this to his "Dubai LACKEYS" & sponsors.
