GOA ASSEMBLY WAS ADJOURNED FOR AN AHOUD FOLLOWING UPROAR

PANJIM: The Goa Assembly was today adjourned for an hour by speaker Pratapsingh Rane following uproar over unparliamentary words uttered by Sports Minister Manohar (Babu) Azgaokar against opposition leader Manohar Parrikar in the house.
The opposition members from BJP objected to the word used by Sports Minister Azgaokar and rushed to the well of the house protesting against the Minister and requesting Speaker Rane to ask the Sports Minister to apologise.
There was physical assaults between the Sports Minister and BJP members. Marshals and other Ministers got up from the seats and stopped them from the assaults. As the uproar continued, the Speaker adjourned the house.
Later, speaking to reporters, Oppostion leader Parrikar said that he will not allow the house to run till the Sports Minister apologises in the house over his remark.  Sports Minister Azagaokar was replying to a question raised by BJP MLA Madhav Naik on the proposed National Games to be hosted in Goa in 2014.
Mr Azagaokar used unparliamentary words against opposition leader Parrikar when he objected to the construction of five star hotels on PPP basis by Sports Authority of Goa, which have nothing to do with national games.  ''BJP will not permit it, sports have no roll in it. We will not allow Goa to sell, PPP is looting project'' Mr Parrikar added.
When the house reassembled for proceedings, Mr Azagaokar tendered apology over his alleged remarks against Mr Parrikar, saying, ''I really did not want to hurt anybody it was just a slip of the tongue. I have a habit of speaking directly due to which I uttered the word.''

  1. This is the begining of the end of the congress rule in Goa. There is a curse on each and every MLA's and they will pay the price for their wicked deeds. If God or Goans dont want to kill them then let them kill one another .
