TWO YOUTH ARRESTED IN VASCO FOR EXTORTION

VASCO: The Vasco police have nabbed two youth, for being allegedly involved in the cases of extortion and threatening in Vasco. The police arrested the two, following complaints from renowned businessmen and shop owners, based in Vasco.
The police had kept watch on the accused, who had taken shelter in some of the cubicles at the Baina seashore, on Saturday evening.
According to the police, they have attached a motorcycle that was in the possession of the accused, which was being used by them to travel at various locations in the state.  The sources in the Vasco police station informed that the accused had threatened businessmen involved in selling mobile handsets and other electronic equipment.
According to a complaint lodged by a mobile handset dealer, the accused were threatening by sending messages through mobile phones, to rob the equipment from their shops, demanding money.  A message received by a woman based in Vasco on her cell phone put the police into action.
The police informed that the culprits had demanded from her Rs 2 lakh. The police kept a track of the accused after verifying their numbers. When contacted, the Vasco PI, Mr Rajan Nigalye, informed that although the police have arrested the two, they are yet to interrogate them. The sources in the police have disclosed that the cops are also investigating whether the two are having any links with the Maoists in Manipur.

  2. Once the vasco police gets their share the culprits will be set free.There is no law and order in Goa , as politicians and police are busy looting and plundering the state.

  3. This is just the beginning and if not curbed could get worse. I sincerely hope Goa does not end like the rest of India.
