GPYCC CHIEF SUBHASH SHIRODKAR MUMB ON THE CRIMINAL BACKGROUND OF MINISTERS

PANJIM: Goa Pradesh Youth Congress Committee on Monday claimed that they will not have any criminal elements joining the party even as Goa Congress chief Subhash Shirodkar refused to answer questions on ministers with criminal background included in the Goa cabinet.
When asked at the press conference that its mother party included ministers with the criminal past, he dodged queries.  “I will not answer this question. We can have a separate press conference for this,” Shirodkar said.
Earlier at the press conference, youth congress’s Zonal Returning Officer Sumit Khanna said that party will go to great length to ensure that only people with clean background will be included in the party.  “It is a part of Rahul Gandhi’s vision to ensure that criminal back ground do not join the congress,” he told reporters.
The congress leaders also said that they will make a membership base of one-lakh youth congressman spread over 1333 booths across Goa.   The press conference was basically to announce that youth congress has begun with the membership drive from March 15 till April 5. The members also announced plans for the forthcoming youth congress elections.
Shirodkar said that from this election onwards, the positions of the elected representatives will be decided through election. “Our next youth president will be decided after 6665 workers vote to elect. The second highest will be elected as the vice president,” he said.
The Congress leader also added that a 10 member committee will be set up at the State level, while another 10 member committee with be set up each at the Lok Sabha and Block level.  A five member team is down in Goa to work on field for the election process.

  1. All the congress politicians have criminal back ground and Rahul Gandhi's vision should be to KICK THEM OUT and replace with young and honest people.
