10 THINGS TO LEARN FROM JAPAN by Domnic Fernandes

This is epitome of HUMANITY this is why is Japan, a powerful nation in any crises we should be proud of the JAPANESE People having given new meaning to people of Japan  Japan does not have Bill Gates or Warren Buffet Ambani Dempo, Salgoankar or Oil fields; not even resources, they are still the best. It is EVERY JAPANESE (who is not talked about every now and then in magazines and newspapers) that makes Japan so special.
If we Goans learn these values, we can make Goa and the world a better place to live. This is something that should be taught in schools and definitely in every home. and should be a second nature of every Goan ,rather than pursuing wrong values. and making wild goose chase in life .We, have to wake up to realities, of life.
470 years have gone by and are still deciding what to do in quick sand of Goa only God can save us.
Few important Things to learn from Japan
1. THE CALM
Not a single visual of chest-beating or wild grief. Sorrow itself has been elevated.
2. THE DIGNITY
Disciplined queues for water and groceries. Not a rough word or a crude gesture.
3. THE ABILITY
The incredible architects, for instance. Buildings swayed but didn’t fall.
4. THE GRACE
People bought only what they needed for the present, so everybody could get something.
5. THE ORDER
No looting in shops. No honking and no overtaking on the roads. Just understanding.
6. THE SACRIFICE
Fifty workers stayed back to pump sea water in the N-reactors. How will they ever be repaid?
7. THE TENDERNESS
Restaurants cut prices. An unguarded ATM is left alone. The strong cared for the weak.
8. THE TRAINING
The old and the children, everyone knew exactly what to do. And they did just that.
9. THE MEDIA
They showed magnificent restraint in the bulletins. No silly reporters. Only calm reportage.
10. THE CONSCIENCE
When the power went off in a store, people put things back on the shelves and left quietly
11) Had full support form their politician,
GOD BLESS THE SOULS who LOST their LIVES & give STRENGTH to survivors

  1. Japan is Japan and we will never ever compare ot Goa or India. Japan is corruption free and corruption is way of our life. They are miles ahead from us in each and every field.

  2. God save Japan and it's people. They acted in the most decent way in the worst of the time. Calm, composed, they faced it together. Though shortage of food, they did not go looting whatever they got. In India, it would have been the other way, there would have been 100 politicians hovering int he sky in helicopters for a jolly trip and publicity. Sonia Gandhi would have been in the spotlight with her chamchas holding her feet on a red carpet.

And most of all, there would have been chest beating with "avoi moje mai" for ages. Japenese people has shown us to put tragedies behind and look at the future.
