BPSM LASHES OUT AT THE EDUCATION MINISTER FOR SUPPORTING ENGLISH

PANJIM: Speakers after speakers at the Bharatiya Bhasha Suraksha Manch meeting lashed out at the Education Minister, Mr Atanasio Monserrate, for supporting English as the medium of instruction at the elementary level.
The speakers demanded his resignation and added that if he failed to do so the Governor of the state should sack him for showing love for a foreign language.  They all demanded that primary education should be imparted only in mother tongue or any other Indian language.
The convenor of Bharatiya Bhasha Suraksha Manch, Ms Shashikala Kakodkar, who is A STRONG SUPPORTER OF MARATHI AND AGAINST KONKANI informed that a mass rally would be organised on April 6 at Azad Moidan to seek support for the elementary education in mother tongue and appealed to the Goans to come forward in support of the same.
Ms Kakodkar further said that besides holding taluka-wise meetings, meetings with editors of the English dailies and MLAs will be held and support will be sought from those who are against imparting the elementary education in mother tongue. She said the manch would organise meetings in order to create awareness amongst the masses in this respect at Mapusa, Porvorim, Mandrem, Margao, Marmagoa and Canacona on March 28, at Panjim, Bicholim, Mayem, Valpoi, Ponda, Curchorem and Sanguem on March 29 and at Cuncolim, Shiroda, Borim, Dharbandora, Sancorda, Colem, Pernem, Sanquelim, Poryem, Pali and Quepem on March 30.
She further said that if the present education policy is changed then a rift between Hindus and Christians would be created. Mr Mohan Kamat, speaking on the occasion, feared that if the elementary education is imparted in English then automatically the schools imparting education in mother tongue would have to be closed forever and this would lead to an unemployment problem.

While, Mr Naguesh Carmali said that Konkani has gifted to us many doctors, writers, lawyers, poets and other personalities and urged the government to sack the Education Minister for being not qualified enough to hold the portfolio.  Others who spoke were Fr Mozin Ataide, Fr Jesuin Almeida, Mr Bhiku Pai Angle, Mr Arvind Bhatikar, Mr Subhash Velingkar, Mr Anil Samant and others.

  1. What education minister? An education minister ATANASIO MONSERRATE without education himself. All the UK residents are laughing at him. If he come to UK we shall make sure that he is garlanded with slippers.

Where was this DIVORCED lady who at old age loves sex, SHASHIKALA KAKODKAR, after younger men sleeping all the time. Goans do not listen to this serpent. She is a MORATHWADDI protagonist. She is a promoter of Konkani. Cowmuth has secret love for her.

Those who wish to impart primary education to their children in their mother tongue are free to do so. The medium of instruction is not going to be "changed" to English. What prevents the government from extending grants to schools having English as the medium of instruction, along with the local languages? If Goa government grants can be extended to schools having Marathi and Kannada, the State languages of the two neighbouring States, as the medium of instruction, why not to those schools having, as the medium of instruction, the same language in which we are corresponding now?

Joe::: I doubt any sane Goan in the UK would invite him.
I know he was invited to attend a function in Swindon. However he turned this down.
The Goans in Swindon are recent arrivals and still settling down.
Once they see that Monseratte treated them as his servants and beggars (seeking favours), rather than citizens, they will soon kick him out.
I hope the "DUBAI LACKEYS", who are Churchills very humble servants & jesters ,learn that they are Goan Citizens and not Beggars and servants to Churchill and his family.
It seems like these "Dubai Lackeys" are the only Goans left ,from around the worldwho do not understand the evils of Churchill & his likes.
Maybe they are all expecting a share of Churchill`s loot.
I can inly describe them as "SELFISH BASTARDS".In a strange way they are like Ghantis to Churchill or Churchill`s Goan Ghantis.Choose it whichever way you like.

It seems like Shashikala is still living in a cave and in the "STONEAGES".
Her ranting will not succeed as Goans today are far more educated that she gives them credit for.She seems to be suffering from delusions . Her Fathers regime doesn`t exist anymore.
Being the daughter of an ex C.M. does not make her an authority on Medium of Teaching.Just being given the Education Portfolio at some previous time , does not give her again ,an authority.
I am sure even Marathi speakers will reject her views .Konkani speakers will just laugh and carry on.

I am sure Miccky Pacheco could help her with her "CARNAL" needs and Matthew Diniz of Kentuckee Restaurant could use her to increase his Pimping Business Profits.

Bharatiya Bhasha Suraksha Manch are not and will not be in the interest of Goans. Goa is being flocked by non-Goans who will benefit at the loss of Goan needs. Let us stand up in unity and fight non-Goan organizations. Our future is at stake.

The BBSM of the Maharashtrawadis may be having a hidden agenda. They want the grants only for vernacular schools. If grants are extended to English medium schools, there may be an exodus from Marathi to English medium, a thing the Maharashtrawadis cannot afford as it will jeopardise their hidden agenda of merger of Goa into Maharashtra.
If more people go for Marathi, then it will facilitate merger in case Maharashtra manages to grab Belgaum District and neighbouring areas.
    We Goans must be vigilant.

  12. What the Hell is Wrong with these People, they want to dictate the level and laws in Goa? being outside parties, Wake up my Fellow Goans, Wake up before it is too late... come out in larger number, especially Parents,

These Organization, remember are not doing it for any gain of the Goan Children, their Parties and Organizations have been collecting dust over the years, so they will do anything to get a little Publicity, they will even sell their wife’s for that
They just want to find an excuse to get some publicity, am 100% sure deep inside they have no good intent its just for their benefit, honestly I wonder how many of these Guys Children have actually studied in the Regional Languages, I Love Konkani and will die for it, Hate the Idea of Marathi for Goa, Marathi is only for Maharashtra, but where Education is concern the Medium has to be English, or the kids will have a tough time trying to cope up as they reach Higher classes cause their English Base is so week,

And what the hell is “Bharati Bhasha Suraksha Manch” (BBSM), the Name itself is so Non-Goan, I bet major of the people in this Party are Outsiders…. Goa Wake up, Wake Up plsssss I beg you’ll before it too late…. But pls don’t Forget Konkani, every Goan Origin Child should know to Speak and Write Konkani, and we should be Proud of it, but as a MOI, its gotta be English!
