PANJIM: In the wake of terror threat, electric perimeter security fencing will soon be installed to guard vital installations including the Legislative Assembly and the Secretariat in Goa, Chief Minister Digambar Kamat said.
"To enhance security measures at the important and key installations of the state and to safeguard them from any untoward incidents of terrorist attack and such other intrusion of anti-social elements, I thought it appropriate to increase the security of such important buildings by installing electric perimeter security fencing," Kamat said addressing the State Legislative Assembly yesterday.
The security fencing system will be installed with integrated surveillance system, he said. Budgetary provision of Rs 5 crore has been made for this high security system by the state government. He said that in the first phase of the initiative, the Legislative Assembly and Secretariat complex shall be taken up.
The state government has also proposed to install surveillance cameras, along the main stretches of the state highway. The recently tabled Economic Survey (ES) has mentioned that unmanned cameras would be installed throughout states at major roads and junctions, public places and places of strategic importance. – PTI
There is no THREAT to Goa from outsiders or from any anti-social elements. Goa is under threat from 40 thieves and the men in KHAKI. Don Quixote is under ILLUSION.
ReplyDeleteall they think of is protecting themselves, but not the Goan borders....chors...
ReplyDeleteI dont think there could be a befitting reply better then what you gave. Our threat is from within and not from outside. There should be 24 hours surveillance put around these scoundrels to monitor there underworld/nefarious activities so they could be confronted and sentenced to judgment.
