SEC WARNS ASST COLLECTOR OF CUSTOMS FOR DISOBEYING DIRECTIVE

PANJIM: The Goa State Election Commission has warned the Asst Commissioner of Customs and Central Excise Margao that if the directive issued is not enforced it would have to report the matter to the Election Commission of India for appropriate action.
The State Election Commission has in a letter further directed the Asst Collector of Customs to immediately ensure that its employee Mr. Michael Fernandes does not leave Margao till the CCP polls are over.
Mr. Michael Fernandes is the husband of Corporation of City of Panjim Corporator Mrs. Vivina Nasnodkar who is seeking re-election from ward No 30 at Ribandar. Mr. Michael Fernandes who was directed to be transferred and stationed at Margao is allegedly still seen campaigning at Ribandar.
Mr. Michael Fernandes has been accused of violating the code of conduct by openly campaigning for his wife despite being a government servant. Mr. Fernandes has also been accused of trying to lure voters by distributing gifts and alcohol in Ribandar bars.
Mr. Michael Feranandes was also accused of directing a CCP truck driver to dump garbage in the Hindu crematorium at Ribandar. The vehicle was latter attached and the truck driver arrested by the Old Goa Police.
Meanwhile, North Goa Superintendent of Police Mr. Arvind Gawas has informed the Collector and Returning Officer that the police are keeping a watch on the movements of Mr. Michael Fernandes and that action would be initiated against him in accordance with law.

This Collector of Customs must be acting in cahoots with Michael Fernandes.Perhaps as is customary during any elections in Goa, money has exchanged hands.
If Michael is not transferred to Margao and is still parading his dirty ethics in Ribandar, then he should be rouded up and given true street justice. That is the only method that works and produces results.A few broken bones, will land him in a Hospital bed,and that will surely exclude him from parading his arse in Ribander
against the orders issued by the EC.
All means & methods of Communication by Michael, should also be monitored.
The simplest solution is to caution his wife and perhaps dis-qualify her from contesting.
He should have been sent to Bihar for the duration of the election and given some etiquette training there.
