START WITH ACTION TO SAVE GOA by Roque Manuel Coutinho, Quepem

It surprises me that people want something to do anything and not let an individual decide for themselves if the people asking for contributions or whatever are worth their salt. To me the motto looks like nothing comes free. Money is not everything there are some things money can't buy so please do not put finance on the top of your agenda.
Did Gandhi ask for any contributions to do what he did or for that matter Nelson Mandela? If you are sincere and do your best God will do the rest. "Actions speak more than words" Do not give to receive or expect. This is what are corrupt politicians had done and believe me I know a few of them personally. Unfortunately circumstances did not allow me to do what I can do today. When people start talking of contributions before any actions or results I smell a rat.
I advise the GRA committee please do your homework before trying to overthrow a Government or instead of doing good you will destroy Goa. Publish your Agenda so all the Goans can see what you are up to and can make suggestions keep the party transparent from the word go. "There should be a payback and judgment day. There needs to be revenge and NO Mercy" in the words of Ivo D'Souza we do not need. Dont trouble the trouble before the trouble, troubles you. Sure the corrupt politicians, bureaucrats and government servants should be made accountable and prosecuted for all they have done to our beloved Goa and Goans but not in a revengeful and sadistic manner. GRA should read my letters “Don’t spoil Bahrain's Tremendous Progress" and” Thoughtless Move" to the Editor GDN Bahrain on the on going situation which were published. In the GDN and Menino has put it on Niz Goenkar as well. I salute Menino for not asking contributions for NIZ GOENKAR and doing a wonderful job.
I would suggest that GRA follow his example and leave the Goans to contribute if they feel it fit to do so. By the way if there is anyone who wants to know who I am. I am a proud ex Larite from the year 1970 batch and I am sure M.P.Francisco Sardinha, Ex C.M.Luzinho Falerio, and Adv Jawahar Dias from Aquem Margao, to name a few can vouch for this. I am sure most of the people in Quepem from a Taxi motorcycle rider to the chairman of the Quepem Municipality will agree that I am a no nonsense man and can not be influenced by any one what has to be done has to be done. I am willing to support only those who are genuinely interested in Goa and the interests of the Goans even to the extent of making sacrifices and not for fame and fortune.

  1. Mr. Coutinho,

Although the article is short, it sums up everything in a miniature capsule. For some people, money is topmost priority before they go into action. withuot money they cannot act or they see no point going into action without money.

This article is enough for the people who are fighting on another article namely Non Resident Goans and Funds. Practically said Mr. Coutinho. All Goenkars have to stand up and salute you. I was wondering if the intentions of the people fighting on the other article are true. They fight for finance, they advertise financers, they attack each other even before the birth of GRA. Every reader must take time to put his comment here and convey their message that all is not finance. I agree with you Mr. Coutinho that if we do the best, God will do the rest, Inshallah!
Menino is my ganv-bhav and everyone knows him. My father and uncle knows him more than me. The computer students of the village knows him and he is a man with sincerity and integrity. He is a man who fought for our village causes. It is true he did not ask for finances and single handedly running the site doing a marathon task of waking up Goans who are in slumber. I know the fight on the blog by some fellow is for money, they want to free Goa by collecting money. Our great Father of Goa Dr. Jack Sequiera never asked for donations or contributions for any of his movements. When people think that it is their own movement, they do what best they can including droping a few rupees in the box. People who publicise people for money does really have a rat in their bag. GRA should not be put into a mess of mistrust. Goa should not create more monsters and then create another organisation to fight these monsters.

First of all Gandhi didn't ask for money as the Britisher's were feeding and protecting him. He Gandhi is the main cause why Millions lost their homes / Lives and we Goans became a occupied land of the Indian Invaders. So please keep your stupid Ignorant Gandhi out of Goan Politics.

About Money, can you idiot do something without money?, your own time to write the article in NG was it for free?, is the Internet that you accessed to write this Article was that for free?, the Place and the infrastructure where you were sitting down and typing on your computer was that for free?. There are many crooks like you who want every thing for granted and free, If you can't give BLOOD you have to give MONEY, if you can't give MONEY you have to give Blood. Is as simple as that.

We should have only one Agenda i.e.; INDEPENDENCE of GOA, The 15 the March should be remembered as a QUIT GOA MOVEMENT.

In today's world full of high tech, nothing can be done without money, any person with little brains should know that. Idiots and stupid assholes will always want everything for free. "Organisation, Travelling, Flyers, Phones, Offices and so on all cost money". Gandhi didn't need that as everything was provided by the Britisher's, ((Finance and Protection) as Gandhi was not working and had no finance for him and his followers, the big question is who was feeding him and his followers?)

I'm Glad to contribute if I would know how, for the cause of Goa and for her INDEPENDENCE. Independence should be the only AGENDA. 50 Years of Indian Occupation in my Land is enough. GOA is turning from a GREEN jungle to a Concrete JUNGLE: We have more Bailos and Ghantties then our own GOANS. Instead of Portuguese our children must learn Hindi and Marathi.

Hope so we Goans can see that and we should support and contribute blindly if we want the Indians out of our land, just not the pro Indian Invader Government.

Roque, there is no need at least for me to agree that you are a no nonsense man as I know you personally that you are a man of high standing in society. Your article will open many eyes of Goans in particular to understand that every war cannot be won just with money. I too salute Mr. Menino D' Valpoi for putting up bold efforts in exposing corruption through this e-newspaper that is now so popular and widely read. I do not know how long this has been running but a good friend of mine introduced me to this site. I like this site and stopped reading Goa news since long as it carried stale news. I am abroad and goes home once a year and every time has seen that nothing changed but worst happened. Your article should open eyes of many who fight to collect money and replace the present rulers. If that happens, I feel that the same people who want to collect money and fight a war will be the worst of all. Viva Kusmonkar, Viva Quepemkar, Viva Goenkar. - - Jeffrey D' Quepem (Tiatrist)

  6. Well i find nothing wrong with anyone asking for financial help...any one can rant online but lets face it without money we can do nothing...as for Gandhi please read his autobiography, without generous donations from well wishers like Dada Abdullah and many others he could not do much atleast before he got popular...if we feel that the GRA does not have the right to collect money then what right do we have to partake in the fruits borne out of their struggle ?
Btw im not a GRA agent and i was just stating my opinion...so i could certainly be wrong in my outlook, no hard feelings my brethren.

Guys - whatever it is . 15 the March should be remembered as a QUIT GOA MOVEMENT. I call upon the so called freedom fighters to be there at Azad Maidan & speak something. Goans are deprived of Jobs , Freedom fighters are taking free pensions and all the facilities at the cost of common man , Ali Baba & his forting thieves along with BJP are looting Goa. Let this day also be a start where all Govt officials should also be made aware that their time is up.. Imagine these ba...ss...t...rr.d..ss how they treat the common man.

Thank you Buyarantlo Monis, the 15th of March will be remembered as a "Quit GOA Movement" in the history of GOA.

As our Freedom fighters fooled us, so did the Invader leaders of India. Indian Independence was due to the World War II, due to the defeat of the Churchill party and Franklin D. Roosevelt + Harry S. Truman who are the only reason of Indian Independence. The Britisher's left India as they could not feed and maintain India no more after the WAR, Hitler was on the verge of occupying Great Britain, If that would have happened India would be a German Colony.

  9. All I can say to you Pedro is that you are contradicting your own words. You have answered your first question to me. Can you idiot do something without money? in your own words. Your own time to write the article in NG was it for free?, is the Internet that you accessed to write this Article was that for free?, the Place and the infrastructure where you were sitting down and typing on your computer was that for free?. No my friend all these were not free and I did not ask anyone for contributions for the same but paid from my own pocket to put forward the facts so that my Goan brothers are not taken for a ride again. regarding the expenses you mentioned "Organisation, Travelling, Flyers, Phones, Offices and so on" if you can not afford them why have them you are trying to live beyond your means. Saving Goa and the Goans shoud be voluntarily and with sacrifices and not at the cost of the people to me it looks like you are one of thoses looking for fame and fortune. And by the way read my comment on the call for people to partake in the meeting at Azad Maidan. As for Gandhi you should read my article Houseless or Homeless where I have mentioned that Winston Churchill told Lord Munttbatten that India was not ready for independence and he was giving the country into the hands of rouges and theives.which you can see for yoursef. i dont know what is your interest in GRA but to me you are like Nerhu wanting independence without beind prepared for it. Instead of 40 chors you will produce 80 chors my friend and please dont refer me to as an idot look in the mirror and you will see one if you do not look within you.Menino is a wise man take his advice. I am for change but like I said before all must go and the past and present politicians should not be voted again man not money should be the criteria for elections then only can we restore Goa to it's past glory.

Roque Manuel Coutinho 3 days ago

It is unfortunate that I will not be able to attend the meet on the 15th March as i am on holiday and I would have loved to have spoken too at the meet. Anyway wake up all LOYAL Goans and head to the meet in NUMBERS at Azad Maidan and show your soladarity to the cause, to rid our beloved Goa of these rotten corrupt politicians. All the Old must go those who ARE and HAVE BEEN in the government. Each and Everyone of them must also be made ACCOUNTABLE and put on TRIAL for what they have done to our Paradise and our People. Enough is Enough. Goans get up stand up, stand up for your right and don't give up without a fight. They have fooled some of us for sometime but they could'nt fool all of us all this time.

  14. My friends, Money is needed......needed to print flyers, banners, leaflets...not cheap....needed to provide our community members with water and small snacks for the young people that will go door to door talking to our people. I am not saying that they get a big fancy real estate building, they can operate out of a small cafe like they did in Egypt. Money is needed to hire buses to bring people. Money is needed.....I believe it is time to put your words to action and not chicken out.....oversea Goans can not go but should try provide small donations to make the life of the people that do attend this meeting not so tiring. The money could be used to buy lots of bottled water and snacks for the small children. Yes we don't have all the answers on the movement but we will know soon, at least we know the people are good and they have their heart is in their right place for Goa. Please don't make excuses now, it is not the time. Support anyway you can....PLEASE....this may be our only hope.....if we don't do this, we will remember this day, as the day we gave up our Goa. Lets hope we succeed..

  16. I bet you the Freedom Farters all the old fugad's will not be there. They will be stroking the CM's bruised ego that day. These pricks should support GRA if they are freedom fighters as this is the time and this is our fight for freedom. Not the stabbing in the back shit they did to Goa then. Now they are leeches and living off our hard earned money. SOB's want to change the road names and hog limelight. We Goans have been quiet too long and believe me you this is just the calm before the storm. When the storm breaks these freedom fighters will be fighting again, but this time to save their arses from hell.

No, I'm not from Santo Estevam and was never in a boarding school, I was born in my beautiful GOA, was brought up in BOMBAY. (name changed by Ghantties to mumbai, same Ghantties now destroying GOA)

Some on this site are spies and don't want Goa to be free. Some want everything for granted and free.

I wish the GRA all the luck they want, plus the money they ask. Fools and Idiots and ignorant gandhi followers will want that the GRA should do everything for free.
