BJP PROMISES TO CLOSE DOWN CASINOS WHICH PARRIKAR HIMSELF STARTED

PANJIM: Where were the BJP and Manohar Parrikar sleeping when they started the Casinos? As an election strategy the BJP-supported panel which is contesting elections for Corporation of City of Panjim (CCP), has promised to shut down illegal casinos if voted to power.
Leader of Opposition and BJP Leader Manohar Parrikar told reporters on Saturday that there would be a total ban on illegal casino operations within city limits, if the panel gained power.
CCP elections are slated for March 13. The BJP-supported 'Panjim First? panel will face off with the ruling panel backed by state Education Minister Atanasio Monserratte (Congress).  Mandovi River, which flows across the city, is a home to six off-shore casinos, which allegedly do not have proper licences.
The BJP-backed panel today unveiled its manifesto. "CCP polls are important for the state to judge the mood of the people," Parrikar said responding to a question.
He said the capital city, which has been turned into a "filthy bin", would be restored to its past glory by the panel. "There has been utter mismanagement in last five years. We have given a clean panel with young faces," he claimed.
Ashok Naik, the BJP-backed panel's mayoral candidate, too was present on this occasion. Parrikar also alleged that the corporators of the rival group were using money to lure voters.  "A few corporators are investing their money so that they can gain once they get elected. Our investment is our efforts," the former chief minister said. Panjim First has also assured to solve the traffic woes, and work for bringing in a mass rapid transport system. – PTI

Pressure from Niz Goenkars and its supporters is heating up in Goa. Now the BJP has changed its tune to gain support too. They too as the congress are a party of Non-Goan interest. Support the GRA to take Goa to a better future.

Manohar Parrikar should never be trusted. He will do anything to come to power. If he was sincere and trustworthy then he coould have used his position as Leader of Opposition to force Govt to act. He is pro-migrant and pro industialist. People memories are not short. How he back-stabbed the idiot Sardinha and came to power the first time. How he came to power the send time. Goykar..beware 3rd time!!!!!!!

"Total ban on illegal casino operations within city limits"; is it Mr. Parrikar??
How long will it take you to legalise the illegal ones if you come to Power?
Why have you avoided in stating 'ALL CASINOS' ? Is this not what Goans want??

Why only illegal casinos? Why not all casinos is'nt Madka enough for Goa and especially when we have our MLA Babu from Quepem who is the Madka king How right was Winston Churchill when he told Lord Mountbatten that he was giving India into the hands of rouges and theives. How can we have expect a madkawallah MLA. to do any good for the people except take their money in the form of madka and give it back to them in the form of gifts to get elected over and over again. As for Parrikar he is no better he is a hypocrite. I would like to know what good did he do for Goa and Goans when he was the CM besides warming the chair and his concience knows the rest.

Roque, I know B. Kavlekar personally, he use to sell milk, he was a "gonvli" then started taking "matka" then the obvious, politics. Today he has a bungalow worth Crores. From where has all the money come ? He has been the chairman of IDC for a while now any doubts ? He is trying to fool the people of Canaguinim and has succeeded in dividing them; he was trying his best to sell the Canaguinim plateau in the guise of Food Park development. Hope the people become wiser and not fall his smooth talks.
