I am glad to see number a of letters written to the Editor in the GDN in support for his Majesty King Hamad and the country. The blood relations I love and who love me very much are loyal God fearing Bahraini citizens from both sects who over the years have worked very hard and have carved a good living for themselves and their children by the grace of God.
These trouble makers in Bahrain have broken my heart with their sectarisim and the way they have transformed the Pearl roundabout into a Circus site with two legged animals minus the four legged animals or better still into what one said a refugee camp. Their protest is not democratic for reforms or the advancement of the country but a demoncratic conspiracy to destroy the country as I can see following the proceedings in Bahrain closely. The initial reason for the protest was to demand that
(1) The release of all political prisoners and an end to court proceedings against them. His Majesty King Hamad released 308 criminals and even pardoned them for their crimes. Instead of being grateful for their release and thanking God, no sooner were they released they celebrated like they won a war and made a beehive run to the Pearl roundabout which I feel has now become a Den for conspirators. Some have even gone to the extent of making allegations of mistreatment whilst in custody. It has been clarified that the government of Bahrain takes these allegations seriously and thoroughly investigates all the claims. There is a defined mechanisim in place with the Public Prosecution and complainants are reminded of this legal right. Now I wonder how many who allege of mistreatment will give detailed and specific allegations.
(2) An immediate impartial and independent investigation of the seven protesters death since Feburary 14. His Majesty King Hamad not only instructed the Crown Prince to form an impartial and independent committee to investigate the deaths which he did promptly but to also set a date for the mourning of the deceased. His Majesty took this steps because he loves his people and the country and every Bahraini life is precious to him not like the conspirators who care less.
(3) Objectivity and neutrality in the official media. The King has never interfered in this department look at how the conspirators have used Al Jazeera and the other foreign media to broadcast their lies and create disharmony among the Bahrainis. It is only after the policemen were attacked and injured in a horrific manner that the official media started broadcasting the situation as it is.
(4) The drawing up of a contractual constitution by an elected constitutional assembly paving the way for a constitutional monarchy and elected government. Now this is interesting and the protesters should be ashamed of themselves for this demand. Infact this demand shows that their protest is not genuine one but a conspiracy. 98.4% of the citizens of Bahrain which I am sure comprised of the Al Wefaq, National Islamic Society, Democratic Progressive Tribune, Al Ekha National Society, Nationalist Democratic Assembly, National Democratic Action Society, National Democratic Assemblage and Islamic Action Society ( Al Amal ) voted for the National Action Charter. Now why did not the protesters and these parties protest at this juncture in regard to the national Action Charter but voted for it.
(5) Amending the Electoral system to “ensure just and fair representation of all political and societal components”. Now tell me are 98.4% citizens fools? if the electoral system was not just and fair, I am sure the percentage of voters would not have been 98.4%. Bob Marley the Reggae singer which I am sure most of the youth in Bahrain have heard in one of his songs says “ you can fool some people sometimes but you can’t fool all the people all the time “.
(6) The resignation of the Government and formation of an interim government. Non functioning Ministers in the Government (according to the protesters) have been replaced. Now I quote from a letter from sandy@gdn.com.bh 23rd Feburary 2011 wherein “ Al Amal’s head of research and activities Mr Fahmi Abdulsaheb Ahmed agreed that societies were having a hard time sitting down with protesters. “ it is becoming difficult to communicate with these youth protestors who refuse any political societies to represent them”. “ they want to negotiate on their own terms while the societies are stuck trying to form a set of unified demands” he said. At the beginning of the protest I saw one of the leaders of Al Wefaq in the procession and I quote He said the people wanted the Government to resign as one of their demands. Now who should the government hand over governance? to people who do not know what they want because they already have enough and who will transform Bahrain into a garbage dump like they have done to the Pearl roundabout.
(7) The leadership should provide guarantees that any agreements will be honoured. What guarantee did the protestors give the security Forces that they would not occupy the Pearl roundabout after they left. On the contrary they have misused and abused the Pearl roundabout to date.
To the Teachers at the Pearl roundabout you should be ashamed of yourselves is this the example you are teaching the next generation of this beautiful country you do not have the right to be teachers it is after the parents that youngsters learn from the teachers, The doctors and nurses I am sure that after your graduation you have taken an oath to treat the sick and injured no matter their religion, race or creed. You have broken that oath and don’t deserve to be in this profession. As for the Unionists you have betrayed your country by staying away from work you have affected the economy of the country. And you the unemployed graduates, the education ministry asked for volunteers to teach the children that the teachers abandoned it was your chance for employment that you took to the streets for but you like fools joined the thoughtless band wagon at the Pearl roundabout. I request all at the Pearl roundabout if you truly love your country pack up your bags and baggage clean up the mess and get back to your homes and jobs and take pride in your country. Use the brains that God has given you and not that of others who turn you into monsters for their own selfish goals that you will regret later. Bahrain is not Tunisia, Egypt, Yemen, Algeria or Libya so please don’t turn Bahrain that way. God bless Bahrain and let peace and tranquilty reign in the country again.
It's the camping season. They will leave shortly after it ends. (I'm optimistic about it). They are only sitting there because they have nothing else to do, and are incapable of holding jobs. Useless creartures! Soon, some other headline will crop up, elsewhere, and the media will head there, and forget about the sit in at pearl roundabout. I can see the media is getting a little bored already. These hoodlums don't love Bahrain, they just love to be in the limelight.......... They don't realise the difference between now and the future they say they want. Doles, tax free earnings, healthcare, housing, etc etc.... They don't want an egg everyday, they want to eat the hen.
