PANJIM: The North Goa Collector & Returning Officer has asked the Commissioner of Customs and Central Excise to direct its employee Mr. Michael Fernandes not to leave Margao till the Corporation of City of Panjim polls are over.
Mr. Michael Fernandes husband of CCP Corporator Mrs. Vivina Nasnodkar from Ward No 30 at Ribandar was directed to be transferred to Margao after he was found canvassing for his wife despite being a government employee.
Meanwhile the Old Goa Police on directions of the State Election Commission has intensified its patrolling in Ribandar. The police have been directed to be on the watch for violations of the Code of Conduct after Mr. Michael Fernandes has been accused of distributing money, gifts and alcohol to the voters in Ward No 30.
Earlier, Mr. Michael Fernandes was accused of directing a CCP truck driver to dump garbage in the Hindu crematorium at Ribandar. The vehicle was attached and the truck driver arrested by the Old Goa Police.
Meanwhile, the Customs and Central Excise officials have been urged to order a probe into the huge disproportionate assets acquired by Mr. Michael Fernandes during the last five years while his wife was a Corporator at the CCP.
Mr. Michael Fernandes though a government employees has allegedly been acting as the real corporator while his wife was Corporator only on paper.
They should lock up this corrupt idiot in a jail cell till the CCp elections are over.I hope he has no access to Mobile Phones,from which he can still "call the shots" an do the dirty deed.
ReplyDeleteHowever knowing the failures of Authorities in Goa, I am sure Michael will have access to Mobile Phones, Laptops and other communication methods like Human Messengers or Mules".I hope his Bank Balance has been checked to ensure there are no Large Withdrawls to finiance the election of his Wife.I believe his wife is a major looter and corrupt individual of the Panjim CCP.She certainly like Valanka Alemao, knows how to "make hay while elected" .
This *fruitcake / nutcase" Michael should also be investigated for dis-proportionate " earnings.
