GUTKA WORTH RUPEES 30,000 SIEZED BY VALPOI POLICE

VALPOI: Valpoi police have seized gutka worth Rs. 30,000/- at Poriem Satari Near Mahadev Temple on Thursday 13th January at 11:00 AM. Two accused Prashant Hanumant Gawas and Vishnu Prakash Redkar from Dodamarg have been arrested after being caught red handed.

Valpoi police PI Shivram Vaigankar personally directed the raid and along with staff Dadi, Anil Hazare and Sandeep nabbed the accused whilst they were transporting the Gutka in a rickshaw.
According to PI Vaigankar, they had received information that some suspicious activities and movements by the accused were taking place along the Poriem area. PI Vaigankar prepared and lay in wait and as they were transporting the Gutka caught them red handed.
On questioned the two accused confessed that they were in the trade for quite a long time and unhindered.
Both the accused were arrested under section 87(F) of Goa Public Health Act and their rickshaw used for transporting the goods impounded.

  1. Well done Valpoi police, now try to get something more done. Drive away all the ghanttis from Valpoi including the ghantti muslims and let us the real Goans live in peace.

  3. Gu Tka should be offered to Foreign tourists as a welcoming complementary drug at the airport. Once they get hooked on it the ministers will be able to make more money as salesperson.
    Iqbal I share with you all Ghantis be it of any religion should not be allowed to create slums in Goa.

  4. I dont condone any form of Drugs, but the reality of this Rs 30,000 Gutka catch is just a sham. Here we have the big Fish who have been caught in sting operations,( Police/Politicians) and yet they dont get arrested or sentenced. While the "Big fish" roam freely and conduct their trade with all blesings from within, the small fish is in the net. This is just to show that the cops are doing their so called job.

  5. Anywaz ...but i think the police should catch some big gang who does such stuff of drugs ...this is a small thing and even these people may just be doing a job for some one else.Anywaz gud job

  6. A call to the Goa Police. Catch the drug barons and parade them naked along with Robery Naik's sons and himself too. do not miss the Drug Lords within your own department like Hashish Naik and Salgaokar.
