N.R.I.(NON RESIDENT INDIAN /GOAN) AID- A NIZ GOENKAR ACHEIVEMENT by N. Fernandes, London

(Non-resident Goans emergency Repatriation Fund)
The approval of aid for NRI`s /NRG`s in distress abroad, was achieved, thanks to Niz-Goenkar.  This achievement has been reported in all Goan Newspapers, but without any name or reference to Jackson Couthinho.  However I am sure, many Goans, around the world, will easily work the name out.
In July 2010, Jackson Couthinho a sole breadwinner from Canacona, who arrived in Dubai to take up employment was taken very seriously ill, within a few days of his arrival.  It was later discovered following hospitalisation and intensive care, that Jackson contracted the fatal Dengue Fever. Regrettably he succumbed to this disease
Having no immediate family to assist him in Dubai, an appeal was launched by a Goan organisation in Dubai and elsewhere to assist him financially with hospital and repatriation costs.
At the same time Niz- Goenkar also appealed for assistance for Jackson through its website.
The Niz Goenkar website received overwhelming support from Goans, all over the world.  However it was the main effort of a core Niz-Goenkar member that set the ball rolling.  Along with Niz-Goenkar representatives in Goa, The Niz Goenkar core member, who was on a brief visit to Goa, approached Jacksons family offering help and advice.
Thereafter they approached the Global Goan Organisation and had a meeting with, Mr Eduardo Faleiro.
Mr Faleiro, after a lengthy meeting with the Niz Goenkar member and Jacksons family members, put them in touch with Mr U. Kamat, the Secretary of Global Goan organisation.
After many meetings with Niz-Goenkar, the Global Goan Org. decided they would assist in the case of Jackson. Efforts were made with the Indian High Commission in the U.A.E. for assistance. Jacksons Father was eventually given all the facilities to visit his seriously ill son in Dubai.
Once again this member of Niz Goenkar assisted Jacksons Father in each and every step of the way, to be, by the bedside of his dying son.  Jacksons case was taken up by the Indian High Commission even though they were limited by funds and clear cut directives on assisting NRI`s /NRG`s.
Following Jacksons death, He was repatriated to Goa.
Had it not been for a Niz Goenkar member, who sacrificed a lot of his precious time, and also, helped financially and morally, to assist Jackson, this decision, by the Goa Government, to assist NRI`s / NRG`s, would have not been brought to the fore or forward.
Even though I advised on this avenue of assistance for Jackson in a comment, I must give all credit to a Niz Goenkar member, for all the footwork and groundwork and sacrifices he made and undertook, to achieve this future assistance for all Goans in distress abroad.
So in simple words, I say a Big THANKS to this Niz Goenkar member and also Thank Menino Fernandes of Valpoi, the Editor, and all the Niz-Goenkar readers and commentators for their efforts in bringing this about. It is a great achievement and more will follow, I am sure
VIVA GOA-VIVA NIZGOENKAR –TOGETHER WE WILL MAKE GOA GREAT AGAIN.

  1. Goans always rise to any occasion in this case many around the world stood up and pledged their monetary support. But for personal reasons money from outside Dubai was not good enough for an elite group of Dubai. Regardless thanks to members of Niz Goenkar in Goa, a lot of foot work was done in Goa.
There is need for Goans to rise again in unity for the better of Goa’s Future which is of great importance.

  2. Well said, N Fernandes! Yes, the Niz Goenkars website has proved to all, that we can unite, regardless of class or religion. We are all one! All Nizgoenkars! Thanks to their hard work and dedication in Dubai/Goa they set an example to us all, and one we must follow. I am filled with joy to see so many nizgoenkars that share their stories and articles for LOVE of Goa, from all diverse backgrounds, all because we are Nizgoenkars first and foremost! Let class or religion divide us no more! Don't let anyone think we don't love OUR Goa. But, we have much work to do, to take OUR Goa back. Our Goa is being raped and we need to stop it! We need to preserve us, as a people, as we have a unique and wonderful culture. We endured the Inquisitions as some would want us to remember, although we never like to look back, we all have suffered together. That is why we are all brothers and sisters, all in this together, nizgoenkars to the end! Lets UNITE to save our home!

  3. Jackson's was the only case which was highlighted by Niz Goenkar on its website because of the stupidity of some Goans in Goa.
Before this sad case, Niz Goenkar team in Dubai, Goa and other parts of the Gulf have assisted many Goans in need, both financially, emotionally and morally.
I personally know about at least 10 cases in the UAE where Niz Goenkar's team helped Goans in distress.
    1. A young Goan widow who came to the Gulf to work as a housemaid, but was cheated and pushed into the flesh trade. She managed to escape and Niz Goenkar helped her to return to India. She didn't wanted to pursue the case against those who brought her to the Gulf. She only wanted to return to Goa.
2.Another Goan woman paid 50,000 rupees to an agent to work as a housemaid. She was employed by one of the registered Maid services in Dubai. After two months, they terminated her services saying that she is old and too slow in her work. She didn't have money and the Maid service company refused to give her a ticket to return to Goa saying that she has not completed one year. Niz Goenkar team helped her.
3.A waiter who was suffering from cancer...
4.A ports worker in Jebel Ali whose leg was fractured in an accident...
5.A Goan teenager girl who eloped with a Pakistani man... Niz Goenkar team located her and returned her to parents. She is now in Goa.
6.A Goan taxi driver who suffered a stroke and was in hospital for three months. Niz Goenkar took care of him and ensured that he returned to Goa safely. He is now back in Goa.
7.A Goan Catholic girl who got married to a Pakistani and had two children. She used to work for a leading construction company.During the recession she lost her job, the Pakistani husband of hers took all her money, gold and ran away. She was left with two children, no money and no house to stay. Worse, her parents refused to take her back. Niz Goenkar team members accommodated her for a few months till her children's names were endorsed on her Indian passport and then sent them back to India.
..... I can go on and on. But space won't permit me to do so.
Niz Goenkar is doing this for the sake of Goa and Goans and not for self-glory.
May God bless the Niz Goenkar family.

  4. Congratulation to all Nizgoenkars, This is just the begining, just a small step of a long journey to follow on a tough path filled with Thorns for Niz Goenkars, I firmly believe that "TOGETHER WE CAN". Let us be all proud of this achievement by the Nizgoenkars please spread the good news.

Viva Nizgoenkears, May God be always on your side.

I too know how Niz Goenkars have helped a friend of mine in Dubai. Niz Goenkars in Dubai are not like the big-mouth empty vessels making loud noises like some poeople who do so in Dubai church. Those people know only to organise picnics and village dances and when you go to them for a problem they don't have time.
Niz Goenkar I love you and I make a humble plea to all our Goans in Dubai and all over the United Arab Emirates to join Niz Goenkar.
Many people in Dubai want to join Niz Goenkar and all Goans in Dubai say they are Niz Goenkar now. Their network is excellent and they work like a spy agency, in secrecy.
I salute you Niz Goenkar for all the good things you have done. God will bless you all.

Further to comments of Bebdo, could you let us know how much funds you Niz Goenkars have collected for the cause and who is holding the money in Dubai or elseshere? Who is your representative in Dubai? It is wise to know that the money is not going into some unknown accounts. What is your total funds collected by Menino until today to support causes?

    ReplyDelete
  8. @Stupid Goan,Dubai... how can you be so pinheaded and braindead while questioning the "funds Niz Goenkars have collected for the cause".
You oaf, we never collect funds from others. Neither did we made an appeal to collect funds on behalf of Jackson's cause.
For your kind information,we are not a church organisation and our members spent from their own pockets because we Niz Goenkar members are like part of a big family. We don't go around with a begging bowl to ask for donations and sponsorships.
If we start doing that then there won't be any difference between Niz Goenkar and hundreds of other family run Goan organisations and clubs who are just there for the name and fame.
Remember, Niz Goenkar has a long arm and it can reach anywhere.
Lastly, Menino has never made any appeal to collect funds in the name of anyone.
Are you guilty of something? Or is it that you are airheaded and gormless!

    To Stupid Goan::
Reading your comment, I must admit you are most definetely stupid.
I also have no doubt that you are a "crooked" member of the SMGS.Having had "wrath" poured on you SMGS guys,by nearly every commonsense Goan you are now coming out in "scornful fury".
Firstly are you in a position to tell us here, the statistice of how many Niz GOENKARS,based in Dubai, "did not" contribute to the Jackson Fund?.
Secondly are you able to provide details and statistics of all Goans that contributed to the Jackson Fund?
Thirdly, why haven`t you published the names of Donors on the SMGS site.
Many of us, assist friends in need. Are you crazily suggesting each time we do this we should open an account and publish it somewhere.?Can you publish all the friends, you have personally helped and let us know the "ACCOUNTS".
Do you understand the difference between PUBLIC and PRIVATE donations?
Please speak to Cajie, your President and his profiteering mob, as they appealed for assistance around the world and then decided only those in Dubai need contribute.
Please do not insult Menino Fernandes, The NG Editor either. He did not make a separate or parallel collection of Funds for Jackson. He only "HOSTED" the SMGS appeal.
Finally, what Bebdo has stated is very true and happens very often.
ACCUNTS are not opened for such situations.
Considering you are "stupid" and possibly an SMGS nutcase, who should really be confined to a mental Hospice, let me explain...
Sometimes many Goans around the world, gather in small groups or within a cricle of friends to assist an individual in dire need and one who is dire distress. That is what BEBOO was explaining in plain and simple English.
Tomorrow if one of your friends or relatives,"was not" in a life threatining & death situation, I am sure you would not ask, the whole Goan World to assist or run to open a "bank account".So get that fact through your thick skull.
All the situations BEBDO has detailed were not "LIFE" threatening or not near death situations.
May I recomend you to take some tutions in READING.

  20. Dear Stupid Goan, when you write such comments as how much funds Niz Goenkar has collected, who has the money and who the representatives are it makes one wonder your true motives. Please make your intentions clear. As Bebdo said we never collect funds for others neither did we make an appeal for it. Some Niz Goenkars personally assisted late Jackson's parents and they did purely on a humanitarian grounds for a fellow Niz Goenkar in distress and not for fame. Mr.Menino started this site for the love of our Motherland Goa so that we Niz Goenkars can work together in love and harmony to rescue It from the clutches of the corrupt, double standard and criminal politicians who are tearing our Golden Goa apart for their own benefit. Today we can see changes taking place in Goa for good and it is all due to the eye opening articles by our writers and commentators. I strongly suggest you read this article by N.Fernandes again. Welcome to Niz Goenkar, together, hand in hand we can restore our Mankulem Bangarachem Goem to its former glory. Let every Niz Goenkar be a part of this change. Mog asundi !

  22. @N.Fernandes... If Stupid Goan wants to know how much money we are going to collect as a fund for the Niz Goenkar party which we are going to launch soon, then it is Rs 200 crores. We require Rs 200 crores because we are going to spend Rs 5 crore in each constitutency to defeat the illiterate-goonda politicians and to win a two-third majority for the Niz Goenkar party. With a two-third majority we will change the status of goa to that of a 'SPECIAL STATUS WITH AUTONOMY'. All business, hotels and land will be owned only by Goans and not by ghanttis. For the ghanttis we will have a permit system to work in Goa.
We need funds now, are you ready to give us one crore for our party STUPID GOAN?
Don't worry, it will be accounted for!

  24. What have you learnt from all of this, Stupid Goan- Dubai? Anything? It is sad that after NIZGOEKARS and Sir Menino showed us all how we need to unite and work quietly to unite as a community and how to care for our people. And it looks like you didn’t learn anything…. it is very upsetting. We are a people that have lost our way!!! Because of this, we are loosing OUR Goa, WAKE UP! The mentality of people like you needs to change, because it is destroying us, and others are taking advantage of this and stealing OUR Goa! Please reflect on what you all did wrong whatever your good intentions were. We are tired of people like you all that say that they are providing 'help' like the typical CHOR politicians in Goa, with either to benefit from fame or some ulterior motive!!! We want to change this mentality so that we can SAVE our GOA. If you all cannot get this message, please set out of the limelight you crave so much. Let the good people that do things without ulterior motives but to help and unite of people, make us a better people and may be we will be able to SAVE OUR homeland. Now, are you going to call your lovers, the politicians of Goa, CHORchill, Mickey, Babush to your functions and dance with them, while they LOOT and destroy OUR Goa. Please reform yourself! Change your ways…..or we will loose our Goa because of people like you all... PLEASE!

    To STUPID GOANS:::::
    Here some additional facts.
The appeal that was launched for Jackson was started "PRIVATELY" by 4 Dubai Goans. These were members of St Marys Goan Sodality. They were Cajie,Navita, Maria and one other (I cannot recollect the name).
They did not have the permission of the Parish Priest or, his authorisation ,as he was on Vacation.
Initially no Bank Account was opened.WHY MR STUPID?
SMGS did not know how to Bank the non-cash Donations. This is why they refused or declined assistance & donations from outside Dubai.
Due to the sunsequent furore on accountability, SMGS decided to await the return of the Parish Priest,to BANK the money.
On his return from Vacation , the Parish Priest was annoyed about this whole Jackson appeal and eventually agreed, after much persuasion to Bank the donations.
There are now major issues with the distribution of the amount collected by SMGS.
Do you have a response to this?
I also hope ,since we know that you are a member in the SMGS inner circle, you will tell us about the "CASH DONATIONS", and their eventual destination.

  30. Somebody here got some chilly on his axe who call himself Stupid Goan. If the same stupid Goan came with his real identity, he can have the books which are blank of NG. NG does not collect funds from individuals but spent from their own pockets, a group of people who attend for dire causes in Goa and elsewhere. NG does not go begging for it’s own publicity. What Bebdo said is right except calling you stupid but you are one stupid, you proved it. First, come out with your account books from Dubai and show us how much you collected and from whom. We can send you our books via DHL, give your address. Your outburst is vague, a cry in the wilderness as you will never be a NG and if you are trying to be one, come out and identify yourself. Hear the voices yelling at you. Do you want to know what NG did, then it is wise for you to go and meet Jackson's family to know how NG helped. You can then come back and clarify your position on this subject as you opened it up. You have some patches scratching, you need a good rubbing with a wire brush.

  37. @Nitin Sardesai... 200 crores is not a big deal for us if we all Goans spread all over the world make a contribution. The maths is simple. To Stupid Goan:::

NO doubt you will be reading all the comments here along with your illiterate chamchas.
You might also be wondering why,the comments are so ferocious.
If you took some time to read the article, it`s central theme was to highlight an acheivement of Niz GOENKAR.
For your benefit, I am going to explain, what the article was all about.Additionaly I am going to provide more detail.
As soon as Jackson Coutinho was hospitalised in Dubai, with a serious and life threatening ailment,a Fund was started by 4, St Marys Goan Sodality members.
This Fund raising did not have the approval of the Local Parish Priest. At the same time Jacksons family who live in a very rural part of Canacona were not informed of any collection.
A Niz Goenkar member, who is based in Dubai and was going to Goa on a break, decided to assist in the best way he could.
ON his arrival in Goa,and barely seeing his own family members, immediately drove to Canacona to search for and visit the Family of Jackson.
After much difficulty, he located the residence of Jacksons family.
Jacksons family only had, very brief news of their sons condition. The Jackson family had very limited mobile or telephone contact.
This Niz Goenkar member, kindly assisted them by topping -up their mobile phone.
Having briefed his family of their sons condition,he offered to assist them as best as he could.
I, personally made a comment on "NIZ GOENKAR" that , this Niz-Goenkar member , now in Goa, should contact the Global Goan Organisation for help and advice.
The NG member, visited Eduardo Faleiro and appraised him of Jacksons plight.Following this The Niz Goenkar Member was put in touch with UD KAMAT , The secretary of Globan Goans.
Following a meeting with U. Kamat and Jacksons family members, U Kamat assured them that he would look into all aspects of the case with a view to assistance.
U Kamat got in touch with the Indian High Commission in the U.A.E.
The High Commission, advised they were limited by funds for such incidents, but would look give this case importance.
The SMGS clowns, who believe that they are a clever bunch, did not at anytime consider approaching the Indian High Commission, in the fisrt instance for help or advice.Instead they were busy on some merry-go-round collecting funds.
During his stay in Goa, the Niz Goenkar member spent thousands of Rupees from his own pocket to assist the Jackson Family in which ever way he could. He also spent and sacrificed a lot of his own time, running up and down and here and there.
SMGS at this stage were not in contact with the family as far as we know.
It is from this meeting, with the Global Goan Org. and the Niz - Goenkar member and the Jackson case, that the Goa Government was made aware of these situations.
It is due to this, that Non Resident Goans can now avail of help from the Indian Missions abroad.
The Rs. 50 crore that has been approved as the budget for this scheme, was not done by SMGS.
It was done, due to one particular Niz GOENKAR MEMBERs efforts AND COLLECTIVELY, WITH OTHER COMPASSIONATE Niz GOENKARS.
The SMGS eventually collected RS 38 Lakhs for the Jackson appeal, but are now having great difficulty as to how much the Jackson Family should receive.
St Marys Goan Sodality no longer exists.
The Parish Priest Fr. TOMAZITO Briggs Veneracion has put up a NOTICE on the Church notice board, strongly condemning the activities of both ST MARYS GOAN SODALITY AND COMMUNITY,for bringing the Church into disrepute.
Today,Niz Goenkar had a member calling him self "Stupid Goan" making crass, off topic and irrelevant comments.
It is no surprise, that this STUPID GOAN, is upset, as he has lost both his Community Club and money making schemes.
The St. MARY`s Goan "Sodality" web site no longer exists and the ST MARYS Goan "Community" website is inactive and collecting dust.

  41. Mogal core members of Niz Goenkar: I have yet to see any proof that any appeal was made by Niz Goenkars, therefore no money was collected from third parties. Yes I can testify that money has been spent and a lot of foot work done in the Name of Niz Goenkars to help Jackson's case, It is from the individual's pocket.
I have yet to meet a stupid Goans, except one that has been bombarded on the Niz Goenkar in this article. I believe the PC processor identification has been zeroed in. A also like to add to what Jagdish Kenkre said...
This Stupid Goan should be tied to Bandodkar's statue and set on fire by shafting RSS, corrupt politicians and their gondas up Stupid Goan's arse.

  42. Thanks N Fernandes, for giving us more details....this story must be shared even though these, our heroes, have chosen to be very quiet as they seek no fame........this story must be told, it needs to remind us who we are, as a people. It brought tears to my eyes as it reminded me of my parents...they too were raised to be nizgoenkars, always helping people not for fame, to boast or for some (politician) position. I know we have it in our DNA, somewhere it got lost for some of us, and I will admit in some ways for me too, but we must all come back to our roots....we are nizgonekars to the core! Our Goa needs us, we have so much to proud of and so lucky to be BLESSED with such a paradise. I hope we can take our Goa back, and we can create policies that bring our people back. We can create jobs via 'community based tourism'. We don't need to build golf courses, we don't need to be 'coolies' picking up golf balls for the elite of Delhi, Mumbai or Banglaore...we are not just ‘butlers and cooks’ of Nehru! Never were! We are a talented group of people. And yes, we do make the best darn good chiefs! But we also excel everyway. We need good leadership in Goa, but more importantly we need to have 'Special Status' for Goa, for as long as we are part of a large and populace country of India, we need to safeguard our small community. India is always going to over reach, that’s what any big and powerful country does. We are, but a small community of people, with a unique culture, that adds to the rich fabric of India. If we are homogenized it will be a tremendous loss to India, that is why it is in India's best interest we be allowed to preserve our culture and our heritage. So please ‘Special Status’ for Goa! The price of land should not be so unreasonable so that our young people cannot afford to buy a home and keep our culture going. The only people that benefit are the greedy developers and the snobby elite Indians from Delhi, Mumbai and who-knows-where! I applaud so many that have come forward to speak up. I think the time has come! I thank Remo Fernandes...his words so painfully sums up the situation in Goa...'The leaders in Goa are like parents that molest and rape their own children'. We need new leadership in Goa! Stupid Goan - Dubai, reform your ways, come back to your roots, man! We all need to unite, as we need many soldiers on the ground to take our Goa back. Our people in the villages need our help. Poor people have no peace fighting every greedy bastard developer that wants to destroy what has make us great - our quaint, idyllic and peaceful villages! As for the bastard CHORS that have been exploiting OUR Goa, we all know who they are, I am not EVER ready to forgive them!

  43. NG Core members - Our goal is to show doors to the illiterate politician fooling Goan, destroying Goa and sent home the corrupt bureaucrates promoted by corrupt congress party, for this we need money to fight those criminals through various means like conducting meetings in every villages, conducting photo exhibitions to show the destruction of Goa,promoting party and making Goans aware of party symbol through various means like T-Shirts,Books,Articles etc.So my humble request the Niz Goenkar should immediately registered NG as Political Party by selecting Party symbol and also open an Bank Account number so that Goans around the globe could to contribute to fight against 40 bastards and their kins including their breadcrumb eaters who roams with them like dogs and die like cowards.VIVA GOA VIVA NIZ GOENKAR.

  44. Mr. STUPID GOAN, I know who you are and also know that STUPID is just your pet name, because you are worse than that. If you add a SLEAZEBAG,TRAITOR,UNDIR(Rat-Coward),PIMP and DHUKOR your get a S-T-U-P-I-D like you. I know very shortly the remaining hair on your head will also go and you will have to stick your Moustach hair there as they are quite big like rats whiskers.(I think Roses r Red and Agha Sisters will agree with me on this.) Just for your information he offered his wife to his mentor for a dance at this year, wonder what was that in exchange for(Must have got some goodies from him).

Nizgoenkars are not doing what they do for self Glory like you do, so dont expect them to roam around with a board that i did this and that just like your do.

One more thing STUPID Goan please stop touching young girls as you also have two young girls now, hope they dont end up saying why they were born to a father like You.

    Viva Nizgoenkar and Viva Goa.

Pls let us not talk about the past and about the dead (may his soul rest in peace).
We should now concentrate on our agenda of kicking out the 40 illiterate goonda politicians who are raping Goa left right and centre.
Let our focus be on getting rid of the corrupt political system of Goa.

  46. @ Stupid Goan: I hope you've come out of your stupidity after being chastised by all the niz goenkars here. Mr. Menino and his team are doing a great service to goa and goans, selflessly and you had to think otherwise. I too would have glady contributed to Jacksons cause. I hope you will realise your error, and make amends. Mr. Menino and all you 7 team members of niz goenkars, may God bless you abounduntly. I am aware that this process was started by niz goenkar team, when one of them approached mr edward faleiro. Right now, mr kamat doney is taking credit for it. Thats what you expect from politicians, except in cases of crime & looting, where they will never admit to it, despite evidence.

Chief Minister of Goa Mr. COWMUTH, is trying to take the credit for the work that a member of Niz Goenkar did through this channel. We do not need Cowmuth to tell the people what schemes are prevalent in the country for the citizens overseas. Niz Goenkar has already disclosed the same on the site long long back.

CORRECTION**** The NRG Repatriation budget is Rs 5 Lakh and not Rs 50 crore:My Sincere APOLOGIES to Everyone
    .................

While on this subject and before it dies down,I would just like to add a further comment.
As everyone knows, the aproval of the Rs 5 Lakhs budget was published in all Goan News Papers.
Here is an excerpt from Navhind times:::
"PANAJI: The state cabinet, on Thursday, gave its approval to setting up a Non-Resident Goans Emergency Repatriation Fund to help the Goans in distress abroad. A sum of Rs 5 lakh has been provided for the purpose.

Briefing reporters at the end of the cabinet meeting held in the state secretariat, the Chief Minister, Mr Digambar Kamat, said that the amount from this fund would be used to help Goans in distress abroad and facing difficulties in returning.
***Mr Kamat also said that recently the body of a poor Goan who died abroad was brought back after he intervened and sanctioned amount required for the purpose.****
He went on to add that funds upto Rs 1 lakh or the actual cost of repatriation would be released to bring back Goans. The idea was mooted by the NRI cell of the state government, he added."<<<
    .......
The reason why the name of Jackson was not mentioned is because an amount of RS 38 Lakhs was collected. There is no published data, from where all this money was collected.
There is also no publication of the actual amount that was eventually given to Jacksons family. It was understood Rs 38 Lakhs would be in excess and the family should only benefit from a portionThere is again no indication of who is holding the residue (balance).
Additionaly the Indian High Commission (U.A.E),would have sought some re-imbursement of the costs in incurred (if any),from this Fund.
Again there in no publication of how any payment was transfered from Dubai to the family in Goa.
Was it paid directly to the Family or was it transfered via the Indian Mission in the UAE.
Finally as a a Commentator rightly stated...Kamat has taken credit for all this.
But remember the Rs 5 Lakh is not coming out of his (KAMATS) pocket. It belongs to the Good and hardworking People and taxpayers of Goa.It is them that deserve the credit.
Based on the Commissions (through Govt. Projects and Corrupt money (DRUGS /Prostitution/Casinos) Mr Digu Kamat gets, this is small change or petty cash.

  51. All friends and foes alike,

Like Bebdo said, we have buried the dead. Let them Rest In Peace. If anytime they come to our memory, let us say a prayer for their soul. But here, let us fight our battle with the monkeys who are still alive and think they are immortal. They even think they know their "Mornachi Tarik" and that it is a long way to come and are making hay while the sun shines. Where willthe hay go? They will have to burried with it or burned with it. Only then will see our beloved Goa to her former Glory. Our Goencho Saib will intercede for us to fight against these God fearing politicians.

Dear Goan's, NRG, and all people who believe Goa as their dear, let's not critise and waste our time but rather build our valuable time to form future course of forming a valuable true Goan Party and selecting good Integrity person based in each constituency through NIZ Goenkar that will help Goa and Goans to retain it's Culture, heritage and more over damography. It would be wise if we start collecting funds from Goans spread all over the world, we would lend up collecting millions considerig no. of Goans world over. But this should be again transperant to avoid remarks like "Stupid Goan".

  53. It is sad to see that “Stupid Goan” has a very punitive nature of his life. In spite of knowing the factual reception he is going to get, he forgot to take his daily medicine and hence the above results. I would rather say to him to shut his bloody mouth and do some good thinking and take your pills daily. On reading the comments by N. Fernandes, I was aghast to learn that the present Parish priest Fr. Tomasito (we used to call him Fr. Tom) of Dubai was totally furious about the collection done by the so-called Goan composite group. During his tenure in Qatar, he had high regards for the Goan community and we seldom had created any feud commotion on account of financial matters. This composite group has brought disgrace to the whole Goan community in Dubai as well as elsewhere on account of their personal interest in accumulating money unlawfully.

  54. @ Bebdo - It is good to see some development being formed on the monetary aspects for the Niz Goenkar. Yes, it is true we need this fund very badly. It would be prudent on each and every Niz Goankar working family to contribute one month’s salary for this good cause and I am sure NG will get a good response for this funding. It will be difficult and pinch us a bit to give away a little of one’s hard earnings but in order not to lose our dignity and identity. We can't negotiate and proceed further until each and everyone is willing to give on some sacrifices to its motherland.

My humble call to all the Goans world wide to contribute in such way that we prosper in our egos. Let our motto towards our motherland Goa always be “Better we lose ourselves than my beloved State and my Goan identity”. VIVA GOA, VIVA NIZ GOENKAR.

  55. We should think of to-morrow, the future for Goa and for it's people, there are always stupid Goans in Goa, around Goa and outside Goa. I'm glad we don't have a shortage of Stupid Goans. We need Stupid Goans the way we also need Clever and dedicated Goans, for a Goan cause.
What Vincent and Bebdo said is right, NZ needs funds, If we could get an account Nr. in any given Bank, we could deposit money for NZ, that NZ can use it for the welfare of Goans and for maintaining the NZ party to run for the comming Election. I know a strong infrastructure is a basic for all success.
As for me I don't care and I don't need any account from NZ, as long as NZ serves Goa, it's fine with me.
By the way I don't think any one of us can repay what Menino, Bebdo and others have done with NZ to Goans, e.g. the awareness drive, when one askes for an account, it's like one is trying to repay his or hers own mothers milk.

I do agree we need to start a fund raising campaign. In the US we can easily raise at least a million dollars if all Goans come together.
@Pedro it is true what Niz Goenkar and the team, especially Bebdo, N.Fernandes and Dalia have done cannot be repaid. They have built the foundation for a strong Niz Goenkar movement. Guys and gals pls let us go for the funds. You can count on me.

  57. @Pedro, I agree with you on the need for funds for the niz goenkars cause and party. I too feel strongly about the great service that Sir Menino, Sir Bebdo, Sir N. Fernandes, Madam Dalia and the silent others do for the betterment of Goa and Goans. Truth is Niz Goenkar opened my eyes to the sorry state of our beloved goa and the common goans. Trust niz goenkar to support a honest candidate for the next elections. Viva Goa, Victory to Niz Goenkar founders and goans.
