DRUGS WORTH RS 3 LAKH FOUND ON THE ARRESTED NIGERIAN

CALANGUTE: Continuing with its raids, Anjuna Police on Thursday seized yet contraband of drugs worth Rs 3 lakh from a Nigerian national at Anjuna on Thursday morning.
Ekoemeye Lucky (35) was arrested at Baga, while the Activa scooter and mobile phone have also been attached by the police.
According to Anjuna Police, the seizure includes 10 grammes of Cocaine (Rs 2.50 lakh) and 50 grammes of MDMA Powder (Rs 50,000).
After Anjuna Police was informed about the drug deal at Caisua-Anjuna, a trap was laid for the accused at about 5 am. Anjuna Police team led by PI Manjunath Dessai, PSIs Vishwajit Chodankar and Anant Gaonkar and other staff apprehended Lucky, who was in possession of the illegal drug. Lucky has been remanded to seven days judicial custody and investigations are in progress.

  1. Has Lucky’s run out of LUCK? . Any amount of drugs and drug dealers taken of the street and destroyed is Good News. The same drugs should not find its way on the streets again. Goa must introduce death penalties for drug dealers. That will be difficult implement as long as we have some ministers involved in the criminal trade.
